De- mentia is characterized by progressive memory loss, associated with agnosia, dyscalculia, apr... Senile Dementia has become more frequent with increasing life expectancy. It is severely threatening our aging society. De- mentia is characterized by progressive memory loss, associated with agnosia, dyscalculia, apraxia, and deficits in executive functioning. Alzheimer’ s disease is the most frequent cause of dementia. Up till now, it has been left doctors helpless to halt its unavoidable progress. The drugs, which have been approved by FDA for the symptomatic management of AD, are far from ideal. Therefore, more and more researchers have been putting theirs eyes on he rbal medicine. TCM has a goodeffect onsenile dementia.This paper summarizes theprogress ofTCM on senile dementia in some aspects, including guidance on clinical investigation of medical products for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, animal models, Traditional Chinese Medi- cine and its active ingredients, Prescriptions of TCM etc. It is hoped that this knowledge will benefit for prevention and treatment Dementia. 目的 研究复方丹参片对实验性阿尔茨海默病 (AD)大鼠脑内氨基酸类神经递质含量的影响 ,揭示其防治AD的作用机制。方法 采用HPLC方法检测实验性AD大鼠脑内天冬氨酸 (Asp)、谷氨酸 (Glu)、甘氨酸(Gly)和γ 氨基丁酸 (GABA)等氨基酸类神... 目的 研究复方丹参片对实验性阿尔茨海默病 (AD)大鼠脑内氨基酸类神经递质含量的影响 ,揭示其防治AD的作用机制。方法 采用HPLC方法检测实验性AD大鼠脑内天冬氨酸 (Asp)、谷氨酸 (Glu)、甘氨酸(Gly)和γ 氨基丁酸 (GABA)等氨基酸类神经递质的含量。 结果 复方丹参片能明显降低实验性AD大鼠脑内兴奋性氨基酸Glu的含量 ,升高抑制性氨基酸Gly和GABA的含量。结论 复方丹参片降低兴奋性氨基酸含量 ,以对抗兴奋性氨基酸的毒性 ,这可能是其防治AD的机制之一。 展开更多
