In recent years, the relationship between PUFAs and neurological disorders has garnered significant attention, particularly their influence on Blood-Brain Barrier (BBB) function. Research has revealed that aberrant PUFA status is closely associated with various neuropsychiatric disorders, including major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, Alzheimer’s disease, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. This review summarizes the current advancements in the study of PUFA transport mechanisms through the BBB into the Central Nervous System (CNS) and explores the potential relationship between n-3 PUFAs and depression. 展开更多
