The strictly logical analysis shows that there isn’t reverse and symmetry relationship in the process of cognition between the synthetical method and the analytical method. On the contrary, they have their respective different cognitive ability, namely, analysis is incomplete compared with synthesis. So, leaving the formalism aside for the moment, we can say that Kant’s ethics must be vague and general because of its analytical method. However, Kant understands the difference between analysis and synthesis, but he isn’t able to supply some necessary premise which can bring about synthetical method for his ethics.展开更多
