Dogs assigned to Urokinase treatment showed rapidly decreased pulmonary artery pressure and pulmonary vascular resistance upon initiation of drug infusion. There was no significant changes in above parameters after four hours of embolization in control dogs. It was demonstrated that this animal model could be used in studies of thrombolytic agents, acute (chronic) thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension, and inacute right heart failure.展开更多
