Mainlobe jamming(MLJ)brings a big challenge for radar target detection,tracking,and identification.The suppression of MLJ is a hard task and an open problem in the electronic counter-counter measures(ECCM)field.Target parameters and target direction estimation is difficult in radar MLJ.A target parameter estimation method via atom-reconstruction in radar MLJ is proposed in this paper.The proposed method can suppress the MLJ and simultaneously provide high estimation accuracy of target range and angle.Precisely,the eigen-projection matrix processing(EMP)algorithm is adopted to suppress the MLJ,and the target range is estimated effectively through the beamforming and pulse compression.Then the target angle can be effectively estimated by the atom-reconstruction method.Without any prior knowledge,the MLJ can be canceled,and the angle estimation accuracy is well preserved.Furthermore,the proposed method does not have strict requirement for radar array construction,and it can be applied for linear array and planar array.Moreover,the proposed method can effectively estimate the target azimuth and elevation simultaneously when the target azimuth(or elevation)equals to the jamming azimuth(or elevation),because the MLJ is suppressed in spatial plane dimension. 展开更多

It can effectively detect a target with low sample support. Compared with its natural competitors, the novel detector has higher proba- bility of detection (PD), especially when the number of the training data is low. There are many proposed optimal or suboptimal al- gorithms to update out-of-sequence measurement(s) (OoSM(s)) for linear-Gaussian systems, but few algorithms are dedicated to track a maneuvering target in clutter by using OoSMs. In order to address the nonlinear OoSMs obtained by the airborne radar located on a moving platform from a maneuvering target in clut- ter, an interacting multiple model probabilistic data association (IMMPDA) algorithm with the OoSM is developed. To be practical, the algorithm is based on the Earth-centered Earth-fixed (ECEF) coordinate system where it considers the effect of the platform's attitude and the curvature of the Earth. The proposed method is validated through the Monte Carlo test compared with the perfor- mance of the standard IMMPDA algorithm ignoring the OoSM, and the conclusions show that using the OoSM can improve the track- ing performance, and the shorter the lag step is, the greater degree the performance is improved, but when the lag step is large, the performance is not improved any more by using the OoSM, which can provide some references for engineering application. 展开更多

The source location based on the hybrid time difference of arrival(TDOA)/frequency difference of arrival(FDOA) is a basic problem in wireless sensor networks, and the layout of sensors in the hybrid TDOA/FDOA positioning will greatly affect the accuracy of positioning. Using unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) as base stations, by optimizing the trajectory of the UAV swarm, an optimal positioning configuration is formed to improve the accuracy of the target position and velocity estimation. In this paper, a hybrid TDOA/FDOA positioning model is first established, and the positioning accuracy of the hybrid TDOA/FDOA under different positioning configurations and different measurement errors is simulated by the geometric dilution of precision(GDOP) factor. Second, the Cramer-Rao lower bound(CRLB) matrix of hybrid TDOA/FDOA location under different moving states of the target is derived theoretically, the objective function of the track optimization is obtained, and the track of the UAV swarm is optimized in real time. The simulation results show that the track optimization effectively improves the accuracy of the target position and velocity estimation. 展开更多

To meet the requirements of safety, concealment, and timeliness of trajectory planning during the unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) penetration process, a three-dimensional path planning algorithm is proposed based on improved holonic particle swarm optimization(IHPSO). Firstly, the requirements of terrain threat, radar detection, and penetration time in the process of UAV penetration are quantified. Regarding radar threats, a radar echo analysis method based on radar cross section(RCS)and the spatial situation is proposed to quantify the concealment of UAV penetration. Then the structure-particle swarm optimization(PSO) algorithm is improved from three aspects.First, the conversion ability of the search strategy is enhanced by using the system clustering method and the information entropy grouping strategy instead of random grouping and constructing the state switching conditions based on the fitness function.Second, the unclear setting of iteration numbers is addressed by using particle spacing to create the termination condition of the algorithm. Finally, the trajectory is optimized to meet the intended requirements by building a predictive control model and using the IHPSO for simulation verification. Numerical examples show the superiority of the proposed method over the existing PSO methods. 展开更多

While mainlobe jamming (MLJ) exists, the mainlobe of adaptive pattern will subject to serious distortion, which results in a failure of detecting and tracking targets by monopulse technique. Therefore, a monopulse angle estimation algorithm based on combining sum-difference beam and auxiliary beam is presented. This algorithm utilizes both high gain difference beams and high gain auxiliary beams for cancelling the mainlobe jammer and multiple sidelobe jammers (SLJs) while keeping an adap- tive monopulse ratio. Theoretical analysis and simulation results indicate that the serious invalidation of monopulse technique in MLJ and SLJs scenarios is resolved well, which improves the monopulse angle accuracy greatly. Aiming at handling complicated maneuvers or other unpredicted emergencies for hypersonic glide vehicle tracking,three coupled dynamic models of state estimation based on the priori information between guidance variables and aerodynamics are presented. Firstly, the aerodynamic acceleration acting on the target is analyzed to reveal the essence of the target’s motion.Then three coupled structures for modeling aerodynamic parameters are developed by different ideas: the spiral model with a harmonic oscillator, the bank model with trigonometric functions of the bank angle and the guide model with the changing rule of guidance variables. Meanwhile, the comparison discussion is concluded to show the novelty and advantage of these models.Finally, a performance assessment in different simulation cases is presented and detailed analysis is revealed. The results show that the proposed models perform excellent properties. Moreover, the guide model produces the best tracking performance and the bank model shows the second; however, the spiral model does not outperform the maneuvering reentry vehicle(MaRV) model markedly. 展开更多

Inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) image can be represented and reconstructed by sparse recovery (SR) approaches. However, the existing SR algorithms, which are used for ISAR imaging, have suffered from high computational cost and poor imaging quality under a low signal to noise ratio (SNR) condition. This paper proposes a fast decoupled ISAR imaging method by exploiting the inherent structural sparse information of the targets. Firstly, the ISAR imaging problem is decoupled into two sub-problems. One is range direction imaging and the other is azimuth direction focusing. Secondly, an efficient two-stage SR method is proposed to obtain higher resolution range profiles by using jointly sparse information. Finally, the residual linear Bregman iteration via fast Fourier transforms (RLBI-FFT) is proposed to perform the azimuth focusing on low SNR efficiently. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the proposed method has better performence to efficiently implement higher-resolution ISAR imaging under the low SNR condition. 展开更多

Due to the requirement of anti-interception and the limitation of processing capability of the fusion center, the subarray selection is very important for the distributed multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) radar system, especially in the hostile environment. In such conditions, an efficient subarray selection strategy is proposed for MIMO radar performing tasks of target tracking and detection. The goal of the proposed strategy is to minimize the worst-case predicted posterior Cramer-Rao lower bound(PCRLB) while maximizing the detection probability for a certain region. It is shown that the subarray selection problem is NP-hard, and a modified particle swarm optimization(MPSO) algorithm is developed as the solution strategy. A large number of simulations verify that the MPSO can provide close performance to the exhaustive search(ES) algorithm. Furthermore, the MPSO has the advantages of simpler structure and lower computational complexity than the multi-start local search algorithm. 展开更多

Aiming at the problem of gliding near space hypersonic vehicle(NSHV)trajectory prediction,a trajectory prediction method based on aerodynamic acceleration empirical mode decomposition(EMD)is proposed.The method analyzes the motion characteristics of the skipping gliding NSHV and verifies that the aerodynamic acceleration of the target has a relatively stable rule.On this basis,EMD is used to extract the trend of aerodynamic acceleration into multiple sub-items,and aggregate sub-items with similar attributes.Then,a prior basis function is set according to the aerodynamic acceleration stability rule,and the aggregated data are fitted by the basis function to predict its future state.After that,the prediction data of the aerodynamic acceleration are used to drive the system to predict the target trajectory.Finally,experiments verify the effectiveness of the method.In addition,the distribution of prediction errors in space is discussed,and the reasons are analyzed. 展开更多

Doppler blind zone (DBZ) has a bad influence on the airborne early warning radar, although it has good detection performance for low altitude targets with pulse Doppler (PD) technology. In target tracking, the blind zone can cause target tracking breakage easily. In order to solve this problem, a parallel particle filter (PF) algorithm based on multi-hypothesis motion models (MHMMs) is proposed. The algorithm produces multiple possible target motion models according to the DBZ constraint. Particles are updated with the constraint in each motion model. Once the first measurement from the target which reappears from DBZ falls into the particle cloud formed by any model, the measurementtrack association succeeds and track breakage is avoided. The simulation results show that on the condition of different DBZ ranges, a high association ratio can be got for targets with different maneuverability levels, which accordingly improves the tracking quality. 展开更多

To solve the problem of time difference of arrival(TDOA)positioning and tracking of targets by the unmanned aerial vehicles(UAV)swarm in future air combat,this paper adopts the TDOA positioning method and uses time difference sensors of the UAV swarm to locate target radiation sources.Firstly,a TDOA model for the target is set up for the UAV swarm under the condition that the error variance varies with the received signal-to-noise ratio.The accuracy of the positioning error is analyzed by geometric dilution of precision(GDOP).The D-optimality criterion of the positioning model is theoretically derived.The target is positioned and settled,and the maximum value of the Fisher information matrix determinant is used as the optimization objective function to optimize the track of the UAV in real time.Simulation results show that the track optimization improves the positioning accuracy and stability of the UAV swarm to the target. 展开更多

This paper proposes a parity recognition of blade number and manoeuvre intention classification algorithm of rotor target based on the convolutional neural network(CNN) using micro Doppler features. Firstly, the time-frequency spectrograms are acquired from the radar echo by the short-time Fourier transform.Secondly, based on the obtained spectrograms, a seven-layer CNN architecture is built to recognize the blade-number parity and classify the manoeuvre intention of the rotor target. The constructed architecture contains a leaky rectified linear unit and a dropout layer to accelerate the convergence of the architecture and avoid over-fitting. Finally, the spectrograms of the datasets are divided into three different ratios, i.e., 20%, 33% and 50%,and the cross validation is used to verify the effectiveness of the constructed CNN architecture. Simulation results show that, on the one hand, as the ratio of training data increases, the recognition accuracy of parity and manoeuvre intention is improved at the same signal-to-noise ratio(SNR);on the other hand, the proposed algorithm also has a strong robustness: the accuracy can still reach 90.72% with an SNR of – 6 dB. 展开更多

As the agricultural internet of things(IoT)technology has evolved,smart agricultural robots needs to have both flexibility and adaptability when moving in complex field environments.In this paper,we propose the concept of a vision-based navigation system for the agricultural IoT and a binocular vision navigation algorithm for smart agricultural robots,which can fuse the edge contour and the height information of rows of crop in images to extract the navigation parameters.First,the speeded-up robust feature(SURF)extracting and matching algorithm is used to obtain featuring point pairs from the green crop row images observed by the binocular parallel vision system.Then the confidence density image is constructed by integrating the enhanced elevation image and the corresponding binarized crop row image,where the edge contour and the height information of crop row are fused to extract the navigation parameters(θ,d)based on the model of a smart agricultural robot.Finally,the five navigation network instruction sets are designed based on the navigation angleθand the lateral distance d,which represent the basic movements for a certain type of smart agricultural robot working in a field.Simulated experimental results in the laboratory show that the algorithm proposed in this study is effective with small turning errors and low standard deviations,and can provide a valuable reference for the further practical application of binocular vision navigation systems in smart agricultural robots in the agricultural IoT system. 展开更多

The novel detection scheme is based on the orthogonal projection technique. Both the case of known covariance matrix structure and the case of unknown covariance matrix structure are con-sidered. For the former case, the closed-form statistical pro-perty of the novel detectors is derived. When the covariance matrix is unknown, the corresponding detectors have higher probabilities of detection (PDs) than their natural competitors. Firstly, a target search model based on the information gain criterion is presented with known detection performance, and the statistical characteristic of the detection probability is calculated by using the fluctuant model of the target radar cross section (RCS). Secondly, when the detection probability is completely unknown, its probability density function is modeled with a beta distribution, and its posterior probability distribution with the radar observation is derived based on the Bayesian theory. Finally simulation results show that the cued search algorithm with a known RCS fluctuant model can achieve the best performance, and the algorithm with the detection probability modeled as a beta distribution is better than that with a random selected detection probability because the model parameters can be updated by the radar observation to approach to the real value of the detection probability. 展开更多
