Knowledge of the individual IgE reactivity profile may be used in selecting patients for specific immunotherapy with vaccines based on allergen extracts and, in the near future, recombinant allergen vaccines. Finally, evaluation of serum allergen specific IgG4 induced by conventional subcutaneous immunotherapy can serve to evaluate the allergen content of the alergen extract employed, a few weeks after the onset of immunotherapy, and to monitor patient's specific immune response.展开更多
