Preliminary results of lithological and palynological study of Svobodny,ancient man’s parking relic in Amur region,Russia

A single-layer monument Svobodny,ancient man's parking lot-1,discovered in 2021 as part of archaeological work to study the zone of economic development of the Amur region was investigated lithologically and palynologically.Based on the results of geomorphological analysis of the territory,the study of artifacts,palynological data,as well as analogy with previously identified and sufficiently studied relics in the region,the existence of the Osinoozersk late Neolithic culture in this territory is assumed.The time of its expansion in the Amur region is determined within the framework of the second half of the IV millennium BC to the first half of the II millennium BC.The preliminary results of palynological analysis suggest the existence of a temperate climate here,was close to the modern one,which does not contradict the reconstructed paleoclimate and environments of the region during the Holocene period.

New taxa of angiosperms from coal-bearing continental deposits in Amur area

Considered the question about stratigraphic position of coal-bearing continental deposits of the Amur area,the main attention is paid to the definition of pollen of angiosperms.Khlonova(1960),Zaklinskaya(1963),Bratseva(1969) and other scientists reported a lot about the significance of the pollen.Among the new taxa the special interest represents the first description of Engelhardtia pollen of late Maestrichtian and Paleocene deposits.A new kind of pollen Vacuopollis triplicatus sp.nov.is described.

Stratigraphy of Upper Cretaceous──Paleogene deposits of northwestern Zeya──Burya sedimentary basin

In the northwestern Zeya──Bureya sedimentary basin, the authors studied coal deposits, including Ivanovsko-Erkovetskyu brown coal square on which is worked off largest Erkovetsky field of brown coal, extending to south flank of the Mesozoic──Cenozoic Belogor'e depression. The verified stratigraphic scheme of the coalfield sedimentary sequence is substantiated by palynological data on core samples from 18 boreholes sampled in the course of detailed prospecting and by paleobotanical analysis of sections in the Yuzhnyi sector of the coalfield. Sections of the Erkovtsy, Arkhara Boguchan, and Raichikha brown-coal mines are correlated. Stratigraphic subdivisions distinguished in the studied sedimentary succession are the middle and upper Tsagayan subformations (the latter incorporating the Kivda Beds), Raichikha and Mukhino formations.

Late Cretaceous biota and the Cretaceous-Paleogene(K--Pg)Boundary in Jiayin of Heilongjiang,China

An international cooperative study of the Late Cretaceous biota and non-marine strata including the Cretaceous-Paleogene(K--Pg) boundary in Jiayin near the Heilongjiang River,China during 2002-2010,is summarized in this paper. The strata includes the Upper Cretaceous Yong'ancun-,Taipinglinchang-,Yuliang-zi-,and Furao formations,and the Paleocence Wuyun Formation consisting of Baoshantou Member and a Coalbearing Member. Seven palynological assemblages from Santonian to Paleocene are recognized,which is used for definition of the K--Pg boundary. Through the palynological analysis of three drilled boreholes (XHY-2005,2006,2008) in Xiaoheyan of western Jiayin,the K--Pg boundary is defined within 20. 00-20. 05 m in the borehole XHY-2006 (as a standard boundary) which is just between the top of Furao Formation (late Maasterichtian) and the base of Baishantou Member (early Danian) . These new research results are supported by paleo- magnetic,geochemical and other analyses,also. On the other hand,the presence of eight taxa of Maasterichtian dinosaurs (mostly hadrosaurids) have been recognized by the authors; and two mega-plant assemblages from the Yong'ancun Fm (Santonian) to Taipinglinchang Fm (Campanian) are confirmed. These research a-chievements indicate that the Upper Cretaceous-Paleocene in Jiayin can be well correlated to the strata in the neighboring Zeya-Bureja basin,Russia. The K--Pg boundary definited in Jiayin is the first well documented non-marine K--Pg boundary in China. Also the related paleoclimate,paleoenvironment and the mass extinctions in this area during the Cretaceous-Paleocene transition are also discussed.

Size Effect on the Radiation Stability Silicon Dioxide Sphere Particles

The effect of protons(E = 100 keV,F = 5×10^(15) cm^(-2)) exposure on the diffuse reflectance spectra of the SiO_(2 )with different size particles in wavelength range from 250 to 2500 nm have been investigated.Particles were nanosphere,submicrosphere,microsphere and submacrosphere,as well as solid micro-and nanocrystals.The synthesis of the particles was carried out by the formation of silica shells and dissolution of the polystyrene core particles.The surface morphology,surface area and crystal structure of the particles have been investigated.When evaluating the changes of the solar absorptance,it was found that the radiation stability of the micro-and submacro-hollow particles is higher than that of the other nanostructured particles,except for solid microcrystals.The low radiation stability of the hollow microparticles is due to the large void inside the hollow particles where radiation defects are not formed.

Simulating the stress–strain state of a thin plate after a thermal shock

The paper is devoted to simulating the impact of a thermal shock on a thin homogeneous plate in the ANSYS package.The assessment of the stress–strain state is carried out and the dynamics of changes in the temperature field of the plate is determined.The obtained results were compared with the data of other authors and can be used when taking into account the thermal shock of large elastic elements of spacecraft.

Modeling the temperature shock of elastic elements using a one-dimensional model of thermal conductivity

This paper considers the task of evaluating micro-accelerations arising due to the temperature shock of large elastic elements when a small spacecraft leaves the Earth’s shadow.In this case, a one-dimensional model of thermal conductivity is used. Its solution wasobtained by the method of direct approximation with the construction of differenceschemes. It is shown that the accuracy of estimating micro-accelerations is commensurate with the accuracy of solving by a three-dimensional model of thermal conductivity.The proposed model allows reducing the time to obtain estimates and significantly simplifies the task at hand. The results of the work can be used in the formation of thedynamic characteristics of a small spacecraft for technological purposes.
