In this study, diffe... Lanosterol and ergosterol are the active principles with potential pharmacological activities in Inonotus obliquus. However, the two sterols are less accumulated in cultured mycelia of the fungus. In this study, different carbon and nitrogen sources and pH levels together with three metal ions were assayed for their effects on accumulation of the two sterols in the fungus. Among the tested media the growth medium consisting of glucose (1.5%), rice powder (0.5%), yeast extract (0.4%), wheat bran (0.1%), KH2PO4 (0.01%) and MgSO4·7H2O (0.05%) with pH level at 6.5 yielded a maximum production of the two sterols, which can further be increased following the treatment of Ag+, Cu2+ and Ca2+. Supplementing Ag+ at concentrations of 0.28 and 0.35μmol partially inhibited ergosterol biosynthesis, leading to an enhanced accumulation of lanosterol, the presence of intermediates of ergosterol biosynthetic pathway and a reduced accumulation of ergosterol in cultured mycelia of I. 展开更多

CaCO3 hollow spheres were prepared easily in anion surfactants (sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate (SDBS)) and aspartic (Asp) acid binary-additive system by using an easy rapid agitation method. The as-prepared products were characterized with scanning electron microscopy (SEM), FT-IR and X-ray diffraction. The results suggested that the CaCO3 hollow spheres have diameters ranging from 1 to 2 μm, and their wall is constituted of many nano-particles. Moreover, the possible formation mechanism of the hollow spherical structure was proposed. 展开更多

Spectroscopy in the soft X-ray and extreme ultraviolet (XEUV) region is very im- portant in magnetic fusion research. Recently, two fiat-field spectrometers that utilize a varied line spacing grating to image the spectra of 1-13 nm and 5-50 nm were installed on EAST for core impurity emission monitoring and impurity transport study. The instruments were proven to be capable of observing spectral lines from low-Z impurities (Li, C, O, N, Ar, etc.) and highly ionized medium- and high-Z impurities (Fe, Cr, Ni, Cu, Mo, etc.). For example, spectra in the wavelength intervals of 1-2 nm and 5-13 nm contained strong metal lines~ especially molybdenum lines during H-mode phases. Argon and nitrogen lines were also observed, which were injected for diagnostic purposes. Impurity lines were identified and compared to measurements on other magnetic fusion research devices. Detailed measurements of radial emission profiles from various impurity line emissions were also presented. 展开更多

The concentration of total nitrogen (TN), total phosphorus (TP) and organic material (OM) at sixty grid division in Lake Chaohu basin around the lake was studied, in order to investigate their spatial distribution characteristics. The results showed that the average concentrations of TN, TP and OM were 1027 mg/kg, 483 mg/kg, 1.95%, and their concentrations ranged from 253 mg/kg to 2273 mg/kg, 223 mg/kg to 1173 mg/kg and 0.291% to 5.48%, respectively. The high concentration areas were located at the basins of Tuogao river and Zhao river while the low concentration areas were located at basins of Pai river, Nanfei river and Dianpu river. The concentrations of TN and OM were higher in East part than in West part. The spatial distribution of TN, TP and OM concentrations of the surface soil showed inconsistent with those of the water quality of the inflow rivers and the lake and the TN and TP of lake sediment studied. 展开更多

Discretization of the Lippmann-Schwinger integral equation with complex conjugate gradient method and fast Fourier transform (CCGM-FFT) is solved, which can reduce the memory storage and the CPU time compared with the traditional method, MOM. Thus objects with large size and multiple scattering objects could be simulated with CCGM-FFT. The total intensity and the distribution of each field component of the dielectric and metallic objects under the excitation of the TE//TM-polarized wave are calculated with photon scanning tunnelling microscopy (PSTM) at the constant height. The simulating results are analysed and explained reasonably. The results show that the polarization plays an important role for imaging of PSTM. 展开更多

Synchrotron radiation VUV double photoionization of some small molecules

The VUV double photoionizations of small molecules (NO, CO, CO2, CS2, OSC and NH3) were investigated with photoionization mass spectroscopy using synchrotron radiation. The double ionization energies of molecules were determined with photoionization efficiency spectroscopy. The total energies of these molecules and their parent dications (NO^2+,CO^2+,CO2^2+, CS2^2+, OSC^2+and NH^2+) were calculated using the Gaussian O3 program and Gaussian 2 (NO^2+, CO^2+, CO2^2+,CS2^2+,OSC^2+ and NH3^2+) were calculated using the Gaussian 03 program and Gaussian 2 calculations. Then, the adiabatic double ionization energies of the molecules were predicated by using high accuracy energy mode. The experimental double ionization energies of these small molecules were all in reasonable agreement with their respective calculated adiabatic double ionization energies. The mechanisms of double photoionization of these molecules were discussed based on a comparison of our experimental results with those predicted theoretically. The equilibrium geometries and harmonic vibrational frequencies of molecules and their parent dications were calculated by using the MP2 (full) method. The differences in configurations between these molecules and their parent dications were also discussed on the basis of theoretical calculations. 展开更多

Moreover, when the environment is independently identically distributed, a recurrence-transience criterion and the law of large numbers are derived in the nearest-neighbor case on Z^1. At last, under regularity conditions, we prove that the RWIRE {Xn} on Z^1 satisfies a central limit theorem, which is similar to the corresponding results in the case of classical random walks. 展开更多

In this paper,a spot addressing method based on particle swarm optimization(PSO),algorithm is proposed to have a further search for the center coordinate and radius of the spot whose region is determined by the projection method. Then,a foreground segmentation method is put forward to make the spot foreground segmentation based on the center coordinate and radius of the spot. The spot addressing and segmentation experiments on synthetic and real microarray images show that the proposed method is effective and feasible for the foreground segmentation of microarray image. 展开更多
