Quantum geometric tensor and the topological characterization of the extended Su-Schrieffer-Heeger model

We investigate the quantum metric and topological Euler number in a cyclically modulated Su-Schrieffer-Heeger(SSH)model with long-range hopping terms.By computing the quantum geometry tensor,we derive exact expressions for the quantum metric and Berry curvature of the energy band electrons,and we obtain the phase diagram of the model marked by the first Chern number.Furthermore,we also obtain the topological Euler number of the energy band based on the Gauss-Bonnet theorem on the topological characterization of the closed Bloch states manifold in the first Brillouin zone.However,some regions where the Berry curvature is identically zero in the first Brillouin zone result in the degeneracy of the quantum metric,which leads to ill-defined non-integer topological Euler numbers.Nevertheless,the non-integer"Euler number"provides valuable insights and an upper bound for the absolute values of the Chern numbers. 展开更多

The dual-rotor structure serves as the primary source of vibration in aero-engines. Understanding itsdynamical model and analyzing dynamic characteristics, such as critical speed and unbalanced response, arecrucial for rotor system dynamics. Previous work introduced a coaxial dual-rotor-support scheme for aeroengines,and a physical model featuring a high-speed flexible inner rotor with a substantial length-to-diameter ratiowas designed. Then a finite element (FE) dynamic model based on the Timoshenko beam elements and rigid bodykinematics of the dual-rotor system is modeled, with the Newmark method and Newton–Raphson method used forthe numerical calculation to study the dynamic characteristics of the system. Three different simulation models,including beam-based FE (1D) model, solid-based FE (3D) model, and transfer matrix model, were designed tostudy the characteristics of mode and the critical speed characteristic of the dual-rotor system. The unbalancedresponse of the dual-rotor system was analyzed to study the influence of mass unbalance on the rotor system. Theeffect of different disk unbalance phases and different speed ratios on the dynamic characteristics of the dual-rotorsystem was investigated in detail. The experimental result shows that the beam-based FE model is effective andsuitable for studying the dual-rotor system. 展开更多

This study investigates the vibration and acoustic properties of porous foam functionally graded(FG)plates under the influence of the temperature field.The dynamics equations of the system are established based on Hamilton's principle by using the higher-order shear deformation theory under the linear displacement-strain assumption.The displacement shape function is assumed according to the four-sided simply-supported(SSSS)boundary condition,and the characteristic equations of the system are derived by combining the motion control equations.The theoretical model of vibro-acoustic coupling is established by using the acoustic theory and fluid-structure coupling solution method under the simple harmonic acoustic wave.The system's natural frequency and sound transmission loss(STL)are obtained through programming calculations and compared with the literature and COMSOL simulation to verify the validity and reliability of the theoretical model.The effects of various factors,such as temperature,porosity coefficients,gradient index,core thickness,width-to-thickness ratio on the vibration,and STL characteristics of the system,are discussed.The results provide a theoretical basis for the application of porous foam FG plates in engineering to optimize vibration and sound transmission properties. 展开更多

We investigate the ground-state Riemannian metric and the cyclic quantum distance of an inhomogeneous quantum spin-1/2 chain in a transverse field. This model can be diagonalized by using a general canonical transformation to the fermionic Hamiltonian mapped from the spin system. The ground-state Riemannian metric is derived exactly on a parameter manifold ring S^1, which is introduced by performing a gauge transformation to the spin Hamiltonian through a twist operator. The cyclic ground-state quantum distance and the second derivative of the ground-state energy are studied in different exchange coupling parameter regions. Particularly, we show that, in the case of exchange coupling parameter J a = J b, the quantum ferromagnetic phase can be characterized by an invariant quantum distance and this distance will decay to zero rapidly in the paramagnetic phase. 展开更多

Under consideration in this study is the discrete coupled modified Korteweg-de Vries(mKdV)equation with 4×4 Lax pair.Firstly,through using continuous limit technique,this discrete equation can be mapped to the coupled KdV and mKdV equations,which may depict the development of shallow water waves,the optical soliton propagation in cubic nonlinear media and the Alfven wave in a cold collision-free plasma.Secondly,the discrete generalized(r,N-r)-fold Darboux transformation is constructed and extended to solve this discrete coupled equation with the fourth-order linear spectral problem,from which diverse exact solutions including usual multi-soliton and semi-rational soliton solutions on the vanishing background,higher-order rational soliton and mixed hyperbolic-rational soliton solutions on the non-vanishing background are derived,and the limit states of some soliton and rational soliton solutions are analyzed by the asymptotic analysis technique.Finally,the numerical simulations are used to explore the dynamical behaviors of some exact soliton solutions.These results may be helpful for understanding some physical phenomena in fields of shallow water wave,optics,and plasma physics. 展开更多

In this paper,a two-step semi-regularized Hermitian and skew-Hermitian splitting(SHSS)iteration method is constructed by introducing a regularization matrix in the(1,1)-block of the first iteration step,to solve the saddle-point linear system.By carefully selecting two different regularization matrices,two kinds of SHSS preconditioners are proposed to accelerate the convergence rates of the Krylov subspace iteration methods.Theoretical analysis about the eigenvalue distribution demonstrates that the proposed SHSS preconditioners can make the eigenvalues of the corresponding preconditioned matrices be clustered around 1 and uniformly bounded away from 0.The eigenvector distribution and the upper bound on the degree of the minimal polynomial of the SHSS-preconditioned matrices indicate that the SHSS-preconditioned Krylov subspace iterative methods can converge to the true solution within finite steps in exact arithmetic.In addition,the numerical example derived from the optimal control problem shows that the SHSS preconditioners can significantly improve the convergence speeds of the Krylov subspace iteration methods,and their convergence rates are independent of the discrete mesh size. 展开更多

To serve various tasks requested by various end devices with different requirements,end-edge-cloud(E2C)has attracted more and more attention from specialists in both academia and industry,by combining both benefits of edge and cloud computing.But nowadays,E2C still suffers from low service quality and resource efficiency,due to the geographical distribution of edge resources and the high dynamic of network topology and user mobility.To address these issues,this paper focuses on task offloading,which makes decisions that which resources are allocated to tasks for their processing.This paper first formulates the problem into binary non-linear programming and then proposes a particle swarm optimization(PSO)-based algorithm to solve the problem.The proposed algorithm exploits an imbalance mutation operator and a task rescheduling approach to improve the performance of PSO.The proposed algorithm concerns the resource heterogeneity by correlating the probability that a computing node is decided to process a task with its capacity,by the imbalance mutation.The task rescheduling approach improves the acceptance ratio for a task offloading solution,by reassigning rejected tasks to computing nodes with available resources.Extensive simulated experiments are conducted.And the results show that the proposed offloading algorithm has an 8.93%–37.0%higher acceptance ratio than ten of the classical and up-to-date algorithms,and verify the effectiveness of the imbalanced mutation and the task rescheduling. 展开更多

Mobile edge computing(MEC)is a promising paradigm by deploying edge servers(nodes)with computation and storage capacity close to IoT devices.Content Providers can cache data in edge servers and provide services for IoT devices,which effectively reduces the delay for acquiring data.With the increasing number of IoT devices requesting for services,the spectrum resources are generally limited.In order to effectively meet the challenge of limited spectrum resources,the Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access(NOMA)is proposed to improve the transmission efficiency.In this paper,we consider the caching scenario in a NOMA-enabled MEC system.All the devices compete for the limited resources and tend to minimize their own cost.We formulate the caching problem,and the goal is to minimize the delay cost for each individual device subject to resource constraints.We reformulate the optimization as a non-cooperative game model.We prove the existence of Nash equilibrium(NE)solution in the game model.Then,we design the Game-based Cost-Efficient Edge Caching Algorithm(GCECA)to solve the problem.The effectiveness of our GCECA algorithm is validated by both parameter analysis and comparison experiments. 展开更多

In the process of launching guided projectile under the conventional system, it is difficult to effectively obtain the precise navigation parameters of the projectile in the high dynamic environment. Aiming at this problem, this paper describes a new system of guided ammunition based on tail spin reduction. After analyzing the mechanism of the ammunition's tail spin reduction, a navigation method of large scale difference tail control simple guided ammunition based on speed constraint is proposed. In this method,the corresponding navigation constraints can be carried out by combining the rotation speed state of the ammunition itself, and the optimal solution of navigation parameters during the flight of the missile can be obtained by Extended Kalman Filter(EKF). Finally, the performance of the proposed method was verified by the simulation environment, and the hardware-in-the-loop simulation test and flight test were carried out to verify the performance of the method in the real environment. The experimental results show that the proposed method can achieve the optimal estimation of navigation parameters for simple guided ammunition with large-scale difference tail control. Under the conditions of simulation test and hardware-in-loop simulation test, the position and velocity errors calculated by the method in this paper converged. Under the condition of flight test, the spatial average error calculated by the method described in this paper is 6.17 m, and the spatial error of the final landing point is 3.50 m.Through this method, the accurate acquisition of navigation parameters in the process of projectile launching is effectively realized. 展开更多

RFID-based human activity recognition(HAR)attracts attention due to its convenience,noninvasiveness,and privacy protection.Existing RFID-based HAR methods use modeling,CNN,or LSTM to extract features effectively.Still,they have shortcomings:1)requiring complex hand-crafted data cleaning processes and 2)only addressing single-person activity recognition based on specific RF signals.To solve these problems,this paper proposes a novel device-free method based on Time-streaming Multiscale Transformer called TransTM.This model leverages the Transformer's powerful data fitting capabilities to take raw RFID RSSI data as input without pre-processing.Concretely,we propose a multiscale convolutional hybrid Transformer to capture behavioral features that recognizes singlehuman activities and human-to-human interactions.Compared with existing CNN-and LSTM-based methods,the Transformer-based method has more data fitting power,generalization,and scalability.Furthermore,using RF signals,our method achieves an excellent classification effect on human behaviorbased classification tasks.Experimental results on the actual RFID datasets show that this model achieves a high average recognition accuracy(99.1%).The dataset we collected for detecting RFID-based indoor human activities will be published. 展开更多

Aiming at the problem of low accuracy of traditional target detection methods for target detection in endoscopes in substation environments, a CNN-based real-time detection method for masked targets is proposed. The method adopts the overall design of backbone network, detection network and algorithmic parameter optimisation method, completes the model training on the self-constructed occlusion target dataset, and adopts the multi-scale perception method for target detection. The HNM algorithm is used to screen positive and negative samples during the training process, and the NMS algorithm is used to post-process the prediction results during the detection process to improve the detection efficiency. After experimental validation, the obtained model has the multi-class average predicted value (mAP) of the dataset. It has general advantages over traditional target detection methods. The detection time of a single target on FDDB dataset is 39 ms, which can meet the need of real-time target detection. In addition, the project team has successfully deployed the method into substations and put it into use in many places in Beijing, which is important for achieving the anomaly of occlusion target detection. 展开更多

In this paper, the discretized mKdV lattice equation is investigated. With the aid of symbolic computation, the discrete matrix spectral problem for that system is constructed. Darboux transformation for that system is established based on the resulting spectral problem. Explicit solutions are derived via the Darboux transformation. For multiple types of modern, high-end and key electromechanical equipment, this paper will describe the early faults prediction method for multi-type electromechanical systems, which is favorable for predicting early faults of complex electromechanical systems in non-stationary, nonlinear, variable working conditions and long-time running state; the paper shall introduce the reconfigurable integration technology of series safety monitoring systems based on which the integrated development platform of series safety monitoring systems is built. This platform can adapt to integrated R&D of series safety monitoring systems characterized by high technology, multiple species and low volume. With the help of this platform, series safety monitoring systems were developed, and the Remote Network Security Monitoring Center for Facility Groups was built. Experimental research and engineering applications show that: this new fault prediction method has realized the development trend features extraction of typical electromechanical systems, multi-information fusion, intelligent information decision-making and so on, improving the processing accuracy, relevance and applicability of information; new reconfigurable integration technologies have improved the integration level and R&D efficiency of series safety monitoring systems as well as expanded the scope of application; the series safety monitoring systems developed based on reconfigurable integration platform has already played an important role in many aspects including ensuring safety operation of equipment, stabilizing product quality, optimizing running state, saving energy consumption, reducing environmental pollution, improving working conditions, carrying out scientific maintenance, advancing equipment utilization, saving maintenance charge and enhancing the level of information management. 展开更多

With the universal test machine and temperature test chamber, the effect of pressure and temperature on the behavior of 1-3 and 1-3-2 piezocomposites prepared with PZT/epoxy in our lab has been investigated through electrical impedance and dielectric analysis. The permittivity, resonant frequency and dielectric loss of the composites have been measured under vertical stress and temperature, and the variety of the material properties under pressure and temperature could also be obtained. The pressure and temperature stability of the composites have been assessed through experiments. The data of these two types of composites indicated that the stability of 1-342 composite with pressure was better than that of 1-3 composite, and two composites have almost the same dielectric stability with temperature. However, 1-3-2 composite showed slower frequency variation than 1-3 composite. 展开更多

We investigate the perturbation to discrete conformal invariance and the adiabatic invariants of Lagrangian systems. A variational algorithm is proposed for a system subjected to the perturbation quantities. The discrete determining equations of the perturbations to conformal invariance are established. For perturbed Lagrangian systems, the condition of the existence of adiabatic invariant is derived from the discrete perturbation to conformal invariance. The numerical simulations demonstrate that the variational algorithm has the higher precision and the longer time stability than the standard numerical method. 展开更多
