A continuous unidirectional solidification equipment with the advantages of electric slag remelting, induction heating, continuous casting and unidirectional solidification was built to study the QAl9 4 Cu Al alloy. The results show that the electro slag induction continuous unidirectional solidification process can be used for the steady continuous unidirectional solidification of QAl9 4, and revitalizes the down pulling continuous unidirectional solidification process; that the temperature distribution in the mold wall reflects that of the molten metal in the mold, thus the temperature distribution in the mold wall can be used to control the electric slag induction continuous unidirectional solidification process; and that the mutual matching of the technological parameters is the key to stabilize the solidification process. 展开更多

A new Monte Carlo simulation method for studying three-dimensional microstructures as well as their evolution in polycrystalline materials has been set up. The algorithm is simple and flexible to apply. With the present method, kinetics of three-dimensional grain growth is accurately reflected and the simulation efficiency is greatly improved. The simulation can not only be used reliably to analyze quantitatively the microstructures and their evolution, but also be used conveniently to observe microstructures as well as their evolution on the horizontal section and the sections at any angle to the horizontal plane, to measure the characteristic parameters in three dimensions and cross-sections, together with their relationships between the two systems, and to many other aspects. 展开更多

Mineralogical alternation of thermally treated siderite in air atmosphere has been systematically analyzed by Mossbauer effects. It was preliminarily estimated from the area of sub-spectra that 4% , 39% and 62% of magnetite were formed at 410℃, 490℃ and 510℃ respectively. After being incrementally heated at 530℃ the spectra consist of two sextets of Fe3O4. Sextet of γ-Fe2O3 with hyperfine field of 50T was observed at 550℃. Spectra at 580℃ 展开更多

Composite cathode and anode films for rechargeable lithium batteries

Recently the rechargeable Li and Li_ion polymer batteries have improved due to development of Li_ion conductive gel electrolytes and of high energe granting intercalation compounds. In our laboratory the composite cathodic film, the composite carbon anode film and PVC_based electralyte film were successfully prepared by casting procedures. Cycling experiments of the cells with Li or composite carbon anode in contact with PVC_based electrolyte and composite cathode were performed. Relatively good performance of the cell with Li anode, the composite cathode and LiPF-6_EC_DEC electrolyte was achieved in that over 50 cycles were possible with minimal capacity loss upon cycling. The same cell with PVC_based electrolyte was cycled over 20 cycles. Replacing Li anode by composite carbon anode, the cell behaved like the latter. It is found that appropriate amount of carbon content is helpful to improving specific capacity. 展开更多
