The Gongwang mountains constitute one of the typical places once glaciated. Geomorphic mapping of the area and the TL dating provides evidence for at least four distinct glaciations. YJT-Ⅰ glacial advance occurred about 100 ka BP and two TL absolute ages (101,100 ± 7780 a BP; 104,000± 8300 a BP) indicate this advance happened during the Penultimale Glaciation. The early stage glacial advance (YJT-Ⅱ advance) during the last glaciation occurred about 40,920 ± 3400 a BP. The last glacial maximum advance (YJT-Ⅲ advance) about 18-25 ka BP, which sustained by two TL ages (18,230 ±1420 a BP; 25,420 ± 2110 a BP). The Penultimale and the early stage glaciations were more extensive and the last glacial maximum (LGM) and the late-glacial period (YJT-Ⅳ advance, 10 ka BP) were progressively less extensive. Correlated with the other mountains in eastern China, these glacial advances in the Gongwang mountains just like the advances in the western part such as Diancang mountains, Yulong mountains of Yunnan Province and the glacier series are more complete than the adjacent mid-latitude regions such as Taibai mountain and Taiwan mountains and are roughly representative of climate changes during the last glacial cycle in Yunnan Province.展开更多

Over the past decade, the LED industry has grown remarkably, reflected by the increase of the photoelectric conversion efficiency for LED from around 201m/W in 2003 to 1301m/W in 2013. A complete industry chain has come into being globally, ranging from the upstream chip production to the encapsulating in the middle and the downstream LED applications. Those time-cherished multinationals (e.g. Philips, OSRAM, CREE) in the lighting industry also accomplished the recombination and transformation toward the LED technologies.展开更多

Mc Vaugh) is a fruit native to the Amazon region and is considered the greatest natural source of vitamin C worldwide. It is also a promising source of many phenolic compounds, including flavonoids and anthocyanins. Given the growing rates of chronic non-communicable diseases such as dyslipidemia, obesity and diabetesworldwide, freeze-dried camu-camu can be used for its functional properties, which can reduce the incidence of these diseases. Hence, the objective of this study was to produce freeze-dried camu-camu pulp and present it as an alternative functional food because of its high production and use potential, adding value to this fruit in particular, not very demanded by the food industry. Freeze-dried camu-camu pulp is a pink, homogeneous powder with great antioxidant capacity, 52,000 μmol TE/g, six times greater than freeze-dried acai powder. It is also very rich in vitamin C (20.31 g/100g), potassium (796.99 mg/100g), carbohydrates (47.00 g/100g), dietary fiber (19.23 g/100 g), many amino acids, other vitamins, and anthocyanins (0.739 mg/g). The camu-camu freeze-drying process is an effective alternative way to preserve the fruit, preserving its macronutrient and vitamin C contents. Camu-camu is also an excellent source of other bioactive compounds, such as minerals and other phenolic compounds. In conclusion, camu-camu can be used to introduce bioactive compounds into food products and to delay or prevent many human diseases.展开更多
