The best way to manage this problem is to remove the transvenousleads. The technique for percutaneous removal of transvenous leads have undergone considerabledevelopment in western countries over the past 2 decades. However, there was scarce data on theapplication of this technique in China. This article reports the results of transvenous extractionof 171 permanent pacemaker leads with the standard lead extraction devices and intravascularcounter-traction technique during the period from January 1996 to May 2005 in the Center ofArrhythmia Diagnosis and Treatment, Fu Wai Hospital, Beijing, China.展开更多
