Based on recent theoretical and experimental results, we present the improved hybrid potentials for the singlet X^1 ∑g^+ and triplet a^3 ∑u^+ ground states of the Li2, Our calculated values for the scattering lengths α and the effective ranges re are compared with previous ones, and found them to be in good agreement. The scattering lengths are 34.6α0 for the singlet state and -27.6α0 for the triplet state. Shape resonances occur in the collisions at low energies. We also calculate the total cross sections and the energy positions of shape resonances for both X^1 ∑g^+ and a^3 ∑u^+ states.展开更多

Based on the Rice Wang model, the calculated s...The effect of Re segregation on the α-Fe ∑5 [001] (010) grain boundary (GB) is investigated by using a software called DMol and discrete variational method (DVM). Based on the Rice Wang model, the calculated segregation energy and defect formation energy show that Re is a strong cohesive enhancer. We also calculated the interatomic energy (IE) and bond order (BO) of several atomic pairs to investigate the mechanism of the cohesive effect of Re microscopically and locally. The results show that IEs of atomic pairs formed by those atoms which cross the plane of GB are strengthened due to the segregation of Re, while the BOs of the corresponding pairs are slightly decreased. This discrepancy demonstrates that IE which contains the Hamiltoniaa of interaction between atoms is a good quantity to describe the bonding strength. The analysis suggests that the electronic effect between atomic pair which comes directly from Hamiltonian is the key factor, The charge density is also presented, and the result indicates that the bonding strength between the Fe atoms on the GB is enhanced due to the segregation of Re, which is consistent with the analysis of IE.展开更多

The results of phase analyses show that Fe-Zn binary metal oxide sorbent is rapidly reduced in hot fuel gas and decomposed to new phases of highly dispersed microcrystalline elemental iron and zinc oxide, both of which become the active desulfurization constituents. A complementary and synergistic effect between active iron acting as a high sulfur capacity constituent and active zinc oxide acting as a deep refining desulfurization constituent exists in this type of sorbent for hot fuel gas desulfurization.展开更多
The semileptonic decays B+c →P(V) +L++νL and the nonleptonic decays B+c →P(V) + L, where P(V) denotes a pseudoscalar(vector) charmonium or(ˉbs)-meson, and L denotes a light meson, are studied in the framework of i...The semileptonic decays B+c →P(V) +L++νL and the nonleptonic decays B+c →P(V) + L, where P(V) denotes a pseudoscalar(vector) charmonium or(ˉbs)-meson, and L denotes a light meson, are studied in the framework of improved instantaneous BetheSalpeter(BS) equation and the Mandelstam formula. The numerical results(width and branching ratio of the decays) are presented in tables, and in order to compare conveniently, those obtained by other approaches are also put in the relevant tables. Based on the fact that the ratio BR(B+c →ψ(2S)π+)/BR(B+c →J/ψπ+)= 0.24+0.023-0.040 estimated here is in good agreement with the observation by LHCb BR(B+c →ψ(2S)π+)BR(B+c →J/ψπ+)=0.250±0.068(stat)±0.014(syst)±0.006(B), one may conclude that with respect to the decays the present framework works quite well.展开更多
Taking account of the selection effect in the line identification, under the cosmologicalredshift hypothesis we calculate the redshift-distribution functions of quasi-stellar objects(QSOs) selected with the slitless t...Taking account of the selection effect in the line identification, under the cosmologicalredshift hypothesis we calculate the redshift-distribution functions of quasi-stellar objects(QSOs) selected with the slitless technique, using three kinds of evolution functions forQSOs, i. e. the Schmidt-Green function, the Mathez function and the Heisler-Ostriker func-tion, and compare them with the observed distribution. The comparison shows that withregards to both the global behavior and the detailed properties, the predictions agree wellwith observations. We also tried to throw light on the redshift distribution of radio-selectedand color-selected QSOs. Therefore, the obtained results draw to the conclusion that thecosmological-redshift hypothesis is compatible with the redshift distibution of QSOs. Using the redshift distribution of QSOs, we also compare various evolution functionswith observations, and indicate which functions in what range can well explain the observeddistributions.展开更多
