Single Minimal Supersymmetric Extension of Standard Model Higgs Production in γγ Collision

The cross sections of the single minimal supersymmetric extension of standard model(MSSM)Higgs production inγγcollision based on next linear collider with the e+e-center-of-mass energy 500 GeV have been calculated.Contributions to the cross sections arising from stops mixing are significant and have been emphasized.And the MSSM single Higgs production cross sections,which are typically in the range of 0.01 fb to several hundreds of fbs,can be comparable to that of standard model at appropriate parameters values.

Quantum Fluctuations of a Mesoscopic RLC Circuit in a Displaced Squeezed Fock State

Starting from the equation of motion for a circuit including resistor,inductor and capacitor(RLC),we study the Quantum Huctuations of charge and magnetic Hux of a mesoscopic RLC circuit in a displaced squeezed Fock state.It is found that the Huctuations of charge and.magnetic Hux do not depend on the displacement parameter and there exist squeezing effects between them.We also show how to generate the displaced squeezed Fock state in the RLC circuit.

Accurate calculation of the elastic scattering properties of ^7Li atoms at ultralow temperatures

The elastic scattering properties for collisions between two ^7Li atoms are investigated in the cold and ultracold regimes separately. Based on recent theoretical and experimental results, we present the improved hybrid potentials for the singlet X^1 ∑g^＋ and triplet a^3 ∑u^＋ ground states of the Li2, Our calculated values for the scattering lengths α and the effective ranges re are compared with previous ones, and found them to be in good agreement. The scattering lengths are 34.6α0 for the singlet state and -27.6α0 for the triplet state. Shape resonances occur in the collisions at low energies. We also calculate the total cross sections and the energy positions of shape resonances for both X^1 ∑g^＋ and a^3 ∑u^＋ states.

Effect of element Re on the grain boundary cohesion of α-Fe

The effect of Re segregation on the α-Fe ∑5 [001] （010） grain boundary （GB） is investigated by using a software called DMol and discrete variational method （DVM）. Based on the Rice Wang model, the calculated segregation energy and defect formation energy show that Re is a strong cohesive enhancer. We also calculated the interatomic energy （IE） and bond order （BO） of several atomic pairs to investigate the mechanism of the cohesive effect of Re microscopically and locally. The results show that IEs of atomic pairs formed by those atoms which cross the plane of GB are strengthened due to the segregation of Re, while the BOs of the corresponding pairs are slightly decreased. This discrepancy demonstrates that IE which contains the Hamiltoniaa of interaction between atoms is a good quantity to describe the bonding strength. The analysis suggests that the electronic effect between atomic pair which comes directly from Hamiltonian is the key factor, The charge density is also presented, and the result indicates that the bonding strength between the Fe atoms on the GB is enhanced due to the segregation of Re, which is consistent with the analysis of IE.

Effects of Group-Velocity Dispersion on the Self-Trapped Optical Pulses in a Planar Waveguide

We give the exact bright solitary wave solutions of(2+1)-dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger equation and analyze the effects of group-velocity dispersion(GVD)on the self-trapped pulses in a planar waveguide.The results show that the self-trapped pulses are unstable and collapse at higher peak power in a planar waveguide with the anomalous GVD,but the collapse does not occur in a planar waveguide with the normal GVD;the peak power required for self-trapping of the pulse in a planar waveguide with the normal GVD is less than the critical peak power for collapse of the pulses in a planar waveguide with the anomalous GVD.

Solutions of Dirac Equation with One-Dimensional Scalarlike Potential

After introducing an unitary transformation to decouple the correlations of the different components of the Dirace equation,we found the exact solutions of the Dirace equation with a finite size linear scalarlike potential analytically.The transmission amplitude and the reflection amplitude are given.

Spontaneous Magnetization of Small Heisenberg System

Based upon the spin-wave theory,the influence of the size of a cubic Heisenberg system on the spontaneous magnetization was studied.It was found that the overall influence of finite size has a tendency to promote the excitation of spin-wave if the free boundary condition is applied.A comparison between the calculation and the experimental results was also given.

Quantum Field Theory of the Universe in the Induced Gravity

The quantum field theory on the universe in the induced theory of gravity is discussed in detail.After the wave function of the universes was regarded as a universe field operator in the minisuperspace,not only the difficulty in a probabilistic interpretation in the quantum cosmology can be circumvented,but also the conclusion of the multiple production of universes is obtained.We find the distribution of these universes created from‘nothing’is the planck distribution.

Phase Structure of Strange Matter in a Non-topological Soliton Model

A non-topological soliton model with strange quarks is suggested to investigate the phase structure of strange matter.The results are qualitatively in agreement with that obtained by MIT bag model provided the ratio of coupling constants of different quarks to soliton scalar field x_(σ)≡g_(gσ)/g_(qσ) larger than a critical value χ_(c)~0.86,but as χ_(σ) gets smaller than xc,the phase structure may change.

Structure of H-Dihyperon

The structure of H dihyperon(DH)is investigated by employing the SU(3)chiral quark model.As the structure of DH,two different conHguations,six-quark cluster configuration and two-cluster configuration,are considered,respectively.The result shows that except the a chiral Held,the overall effect of the other SU(3)chiral fields is destructive in forming a stable DH and the two-cluster configuration is the preferred structure.The resultant mass of DH in a three-coupled-channel calculation in the SU(3)chiral quark model is ranged from 2225 to 2234 MeV.

In-Medium Nucleon-Nucleon Cross Section

Within the framework of Brueckner-Hartree-Fock method,the in-medium nucleonnucleon(NN)cross section is calculated.We base our investigation on a separable Paris potential for the NN interaction and a continuous choice for the single particle spectrum.It is found that the in-medium cross section is strongly modified by medium effect.In particular,with increasing of nuclear density,the cross sections decrease.This indicates a proper treatment of the density dependence of the in-medium NN cross sections is important.

Scalar Wormhole at Finite Temperature

The wormhole solution of a finite temperature scalarø4 field coupled to gravity is given.It is shown that Hubble constant and the size of the wormhole neck all increase with temperature.Temperature dependences for other physical properties of wormhole are also discussed.

A complementary and synergistic effect of Fe-Zn binary metal oxide in the process of high-temperature fuel gas desulfurization

57Fe Mossbauer spectroscopy was used to investigate the evolution of Fe-Zn binary metal oxide sorbent in the process of high-temperature fuel gas desulfurization. The results of phase analyses show that Fe-Zn binary metal oxide sorbent is rapidly reduced in hot fuel gas and decomposed to new phases of highly dispersed microcrystalline elemental iron and zinc oxide, both of which become the active desulfurization constituents. A complementary and synergistic effect between active iron acting as a high sulfur capacity constituent and active zinc oxide acting as a deep refining desulfurization constituent exists in this type of sorbent for hot fuel gas desulfurization.

Some of semileptonic and nonleptonic decays of B_c meson in a Bethe-Salpeter relativistic quark model

The semileptonic decays B+c →P(V) +L++νL and the nonleptonic decays B+c →P(V) + L, where P(V) denotes a pseudoscalar(vector) charmonium or(ˉbs)-meson, and L denotes a light meson, are studied in the framework of improved instantaneous BetheSalpeter(BS) equation and the Mandelstam formula. The numerical results(width and branching ratio of the decays) are presented in tables, and in order to compare conveniently, those obtained by other approaches are also put in the relevant tables. Based on the fact that the ratio BR(B+c →ψ(2S)π+)/BR(B+c →J/ψπ+)= 0.24+0.023-0.040 estimated here is in good agreement with the observation by LHCb BR(B+c →ψ(2S)π+)BR(B+c →J/ψπ+)=0.250±0.068(stat)±0.014(syst)±0.006(B), one may conclude that with respect to the decays the present framework works quite well.

REDSHIFT DISTRIBUTION AND EVOLUTION FUNCTION OF QUASI-STELLAR OBJECTS

Taking account of the selection effect in the line identification, under the cosmologicalredshift hypothesis we calculate the redshift-distribution functions of quasi-stellar objects(QSOs) selected with the slitless technique, using three kinds of evolution functions forQSOs, i. e. the Schmidt-Green function, the Mathez function and the Heisler-Ostriker func-tion, and compare them with the observed distribution. The comparison shows that withregards to both the global behavior and the detailed properties, the predictions agree wellwith observations. We also tried to throw light on the redshift distribution of radio-selectedand color-selected QSOs. Therefore, the obtained results draw to the conclusion that thecosmological-redshift hypothesis is compatible with the redshift distibution of QSOs. Using the redshift distribution of QSOs, we also compare various evolution functionswith observations, and indicate which functions in what range can well explain the observeddistributions.
