Distinguished guests, Ladies and gentlemen,friends, Good morning!I feel greatly delighted to attend the plenary session of the 5th China-Africa People's Forum. At the opening ceremony,Song Tao,Minster of International Department,Central Committee of Communist Party of China (CPC),read the message of congratulations from Xi Jinping, General Secretary of CPC Central Committee and Chinese President.

Representatives of Chinese NGOs Participated in the 2020 BRICS Civil Society Forum

The 2020 BRICS Civil Society Forum was held in Moscow,Russia,from September 23 to 25.The forum is hosted by the Russian BRICS National Committee for Research,with the theme"Promoting BRICS People-to-People Exchanges towards a Sustainable Future".

At the invitation of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung（FES） of Germany, Bill Center for Promotionand Development of Belt and Road Initiativeof Bosnia and Herzegovina and Green Home ofMontenegro, a delegation from China Associationfor International Understanding （CAFIU） ledby its Vice-President Ai Ping, also former Vice-Minister of the International Department of theCPC Central Committee paid a visit to the threecountries from May 3 to 12.

The whole year＇s work depends on a good startin spring. On 9 to 10 April 2018, the historic cityXi＇an witnessed the staging of the First People＇sForum of Shanghai Cooperation Organization（SCO）. The forum was jointly staged by ChinaNGO Network for International Exchanges andthe People＇s Government of Shaanxi Province,in an aim to contribute people＇s wisdom to theShanghai Cooperation Organization QingdaoSummit which will be held in June 2018 bycollecting people＇s wits, reflecting people＇swishes, building consensus among the people.

CNIE Donates Pandemic Prevention Supplies to WFP Ethiopia,Congo-Brazzaville and Tanzania Country Offices

In March,2020,China NGO Network for International Exchanges(CNIE)launched the“Joint Action for Defeating COVID-19 Silk Road Community Building Initiative(Joint Action)”,to promote domestic NGOs to actively join in the international cooperation against the pandemic.

Representatives of Chinese Social Organizations,Experts and Scholars in the United Nations Calls to Combat Hate Speech on Minority Issues Forum

The 13th Minority Issues Forum of the United Nations Human Rights Council was held by video conference from November 19th to 20th.The theme of the forum is"Hate Speech,Social Media and Minorities1".Chinese experts,scholars and representatives of social organizations introduced China’s policies and practices in protecting the rights of ethnic minorities at the forum,calling on the international community to joindy combat hate speech.
