To improve the design speed and reduce the design cost for the previous blade design method, a modified inverse design method is presented. In the new method, after a series of physical and mathematical simplifications, a sail?like constrained area is proposed, which can be used to configure di erent runner blade shapes. Then, the new method is applied to redesign and optimize the runner blade of the scale core component of the 1400?MW canned nuclear coolant pump in an established multi?optimization system compromising the Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) analysis, the Response Surface Methodology(RSM) and the Non?dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm?II(NSGA?II). After the execution of the optimization procedure, three optimal samples were ultimately obtained. Then, through comparative analysis using the target runner blade, it was found that the maximum e ciency improvement reached 1.6%, while the head improvement was about 10%. Overall, a promising runner blade inverse design method which will benefit the hydraulic design of the mixed?flow pump has been proposed. 展开更多

Surfaces with controllable micro structures are significant in fundamental development of superhydrophobicity. However,preparation of superhydrophobic surfaces with array structures on metal substrates is not effective using existing methods. A new method was presented to fabricate super-hydrophobic post arrays on aluminum(Al) substrates using mask electrochemical machining and fluoridation. Electrochemical etching was first applied on Al plates with pre-prepared photoresist arrays to make the post array structures. Surface modification was subsequently applied to reduce the surface energy, followed by interaction with water to realize superhydrophobicity. Simulation and experimental verification were conducted to investigate how machining parameters affect the array structures. Analysis of the water contact angle was implemented to explore the relationship between wettability and micro structures.The results indicate that superhydrophobic surfaces with controllable post structures can be fabricated through this proposed method, producing surfaces with high water static contact angles. 展开更多

Uniform diamond films are highly desirable for cutting industries, due to their high performance and long lifetime used on cutting tools. Nevertheless, they are difficult to obtain on cutting tools with complicated shapes, greatly limiting the applications of diamond films. In this study, a novel approach of deposition for uniform diamond films is proposed, on circular saw blades made of cemented carbide using reflectors of brass sheets. Diamond films are deposited using hot filament chemical vapor deposition(HFCVD). A novel concave structure of brass sheets is designed and fabricated, improving the distribution of temperature field, and overcoming the disadvantages of the conventional HFCVD systems. This increases the energy efficiency of use without changing the structure and increasing the cost of HFCVD. The grains are refined and the intensities of diamond peaks are strengthened obviously, which is confirmed by scanning electron microscopy and Raman spectra respectively. 展开更多

In this paper,the formulas of elasto-hydrodynamic traction coefficients of three Chinese aviation lubricating oils,4109,4106 and 4050,were obtained by a great number of elastohydrodynamic traction tests.The nonlinear dynamics differential equations of high-speed angular contact ball bearing were built on the basis of dynamic theory of rolling bearings and solved by Gear Stiff(GSTIFF) integer algorithm with variable step.The impact of lubricant traction coefficient on cage's dynamic characteristics in high-speed angular contact ball bearing was investigated,and Poincare map was used to analyze the impact of three types of aviation lubricating oils on the dynamic response of cage's mass center.And then,the period of dynamic response of cage's mass center and the slip ratio of cage were used to assess the stability of cage under various working conditions.The results of this paper provide the theoretical basis for the selection and application of aviation lubricating oil. 展开更多

Based on dynamic analysis of rolling bearings, the nonlinear dynamic differential equations of a cylindrical roller bearing with a trilobe-raceway were established and solved by the GSTIFF(gear stiff) integer algorithm with a variable step. The influences of structural parameters and the tolerance of the trilobe-raceway, working conditions of the bearing, and the outer ring installation method on cage slip characteristics were investigated. The results show that:(i) The cage slip ratio and bearing rating life of a cylindrical roller bearing with a trilobe-raceway would reduce when the low-radius(radius of the outer raceway contour at the lowest point) and D-value(difference value between the high and low points of the outer raceway contour) decrease, and the former(low-radius) contributes more significantly.(ii) The cage slip ratio of a cylindrical roller bearing with a trilobe-raceway rises with the increase of the bearing speed, and decreases with the increase of the radial force; the variation range increases with the increase of the low-radius.(iii) When the installation angle of the outer ring increases in a period, the cage slip ratio remains unchanged while the bearing rating life rises up a little. Therefore, when installing a cylindrical roller bearing with a trilobe-raceway, the location of the maximum radius shall be under that of the radial force to improve the bearing rating life.(iv) With the increase of the roundness of the base circle where the radius of the lowest points of the trilobe-raceway contour locates, the cage slip ratio rises gradually and the bearing rating life decreases. 展开更多
