Construction of Transgenic Crop Germplasm Effective Function and Characteristic Analysis

Germplasm effect reflects the quantitative relation between production ability of germplasm elements and yield （quality） of a certain crop, which can be shown by mathematic function, namely, germplasm effect function. Germplasm effect of a crop variety is an aggregation of many effective factors, and is restrained by different effective factors; constant increase of any one effect of germplasm elements would lead to law of effect decline, therefore, possible modes of transgenic crops effect function were deduced according to the law of effect decline. The possible modes of single transgenic germplasm effect function and multi-transgenic germplasm effect regression equation were discussed, and the characteristics of germplasm effect regression equation were analyzed in this paper.

Research on the Development of Economy and Farmers' Income Growth in Heilongjiang Province

Nowadays, increasing farmers＇ income is not only related to the development of rural economy, the improvement of farmers＇ lives and countryside stability but also related to the overall situation of economy and social development. Heilongjiang is a big agricultural province, however, the increase of farmers＇ per capital net income is rather slow in the last few years. On the basis of Lewis dual economic structure theory and our province＇s actual situation, the paper proposed the concrete countermeasures to increase farmers＇ income, so as to promote the development of economy.

Promoting direct policy communication between policy makers and the public is both an important function of government annual reports (GARs) and a key issue in democratic politics.According to this survey,conducted in 19 major cities in China,to promote the policy communication function of the GARs the government should make full use of changes in public policy communication habits and the convergence of public policy preferences in different groups while dealing with routine problems such as “public opinion deficits” and “being popular among the institutional staff but unnoticed the non-institutional staff.”

Comparative study on membership legislation in Canadian and Chinese agricultural co-operative laws

For centuries, groups of people desiring to supply themselves with goods, to market their products, or to obtain services of various kinds on a co-operative basis, have made increasing use of co-operative associations to achieve these purposes. Duringthe period, legislation designed especially for the incorporation and conduct of such associations has been enacted by different counties. Since a co-operative is established and carried on by and for the use of its members, this essay makes a comparison between Canadian and Chinese co-operative laws in terms of membership in the aspects of qualifications, rights and obligations and withdrawal of membership, so as to probe the function of co-operative legislation and find some enlightment from it.

Study Abroad Experience and Career Decision-Making: A Qualitative Study of Chinese Students

This research explores factors influencing Chinese overseas students’career decision-making.Based on the social cognitive career theory,a semi-structured interview schedule was devised to qualitatively investigate how Chinese students evaluated different factors and coped with career decision-making while studying abroad.The interview transcripts were addressed using thematic analysis.Family influences,overseas social life,and personal improvement were found to be the three key factors in shaping Chinese overseas students’career decision-making.Moreover,close interconnections were found among the three factors,and these had a combined impact on the decision-making process.The findings highlight the importance of a positive study abroad experience and its impact on international students’career decision-making.

More Rights but Less Gains:Relaxed Birth Control Policyand the Loss for Women

In view of its aging population,China initiated in 2012 a relaxed birth control policy after a three-decades-long implementation of the restrictive one-child policy.This paper examines how China's relaxed birth control policy leads to gender inequality.It specifically focuses on migrant workers because they account for a significant portion of the working group.Using the National Migrant Population Dynamic Monitoring Survey from 2014 to 2016,we found that China's two-child pilot policy reduced female labor force participation by 1.4 percentage points.This negative effect was more pronounced for women with higher educational levels or working in the private sector because employers foresee greater risks of productivity decline.We demonstrated that the gender pay gap increased from RMB956 to RMB1,053 during this same period.Pinpointing these unintended consequences brought about by the relaxation of the one-child policy helps provide a more complete picture of inequality and make sense of persistent relative poverty in Chinese society.To counteract gender discrimination,females are advised to work outside their home jurisdictions and take advantage of positive peer effects.
