By the mathematical simulation, fluid flow and beat transfer of molten-steel in a four-strand tundish of a billet caster under different conditions (bare tundish and tundish with flow control device) were analyzed, The results showed that (1) the tundish with flow control device (FCD) has an important effect on the fluid pattern and temperature distribution; (2) the unsteady, solving method was used to model the inclusion motions at different time perthds, and it showed that the FCD is advantageous to separate the nonmetallic inclusions. According to the simulation results, the main problem existing in the industry preduction was found, and some helpful rneasurements were executed. Consequently, the large nonmetallic inclusions were separated, and the content of total oxygen was reduced. The qualily of steel was greatly improved.展开更多

However, the manufacturing of porous structures has been restricted from conventional technologies. In this study, selective laser melting( SLM) technology was employed to produce a set of Ti-6Al-4V porous samples based on cubic lattices with varying size of strut width from 200 μm to 600 μm. Then the compression tests were conducted to analyze the influence of the strut width on the elasticity modulus and the ultimate strength. The result shows both of them increases linearly with the growth of strut width or with the decrease of porosity, and the elasticity modulus of porous parts is largely reduced and actually meets the requirement of clinical application. Additionally,a finite element model was established to verify the un-uniform stress distribution of porous parts. It reveals that fractures always initially occur at the vertical struts along the force direction which suffer from the main deformation.展开更多

But the forming quality of precision forging is difficult to control. Many simulations and analysis of precision forging process were taken by previous researchers. But no concrete method is proposed to evaluate and optimize the forming quality of half axel gears. The primary purpose of this work is improving the forming quality of half axel gears by analyzing and optimizing the affected factors of forming quality. The enclosed-die warm forging process of half axle gears was developed, and a new type of die-set used on double action hydraulic press was brought forward. The main influential factors of precision forming quality were analyzed after the forming process had been simulated by using finite element method(FEM). These factors include die structure, web thickness and web position. A method used to evaluate the forming quality was established, which investigated the maximal forming load, the metal filling rate and the material damage factor. The FEM simulations of half axle gears precision forging were evaluated by this method. The results show that the best forming quality can be achieved when the punches were added with bosses, the web located at the middle plant of the gear, and the web thickness was 30 percent of the inner hole diameter. Verification experiments taking the above optimized parameters were performed on a 7.8 MN double action hydraulic press. The trial products were formed well. And their geometric precision meets the demand. The verification result shows that the optimization of the influential factors, according to the simulations and the evaluation method, can improve the forming quality. The new structure of precision forging die-set and the new evaluation method guarantee a high forming quality ofhalfaxel gears.展开更多

The thin and symmetrical structure was obtained by using low super heat casting process. The eutectic that lied in the raw billet of ZL109 alloy remelted and produced liquid phase in the process of remelting, but to the 7050 alloy, the eutectic of intergranular and the pointedness of grains was remelted to make the grains more uniform and smooth. In the process of semisolid forming, the primary α and the eutectic inside the ZL109 alloy were separated partly and the grains in the 7050 alloy was conglutinated together. After heat treatment, the eutectic α grains of ZL109 traveled to primary α and shaped the white fishing net like organization; the eutectic Si grains assembled into the black massive particles. As to 7050, after heat treatment, α particles recrystallized and thin grains pattern was obtained.展开更多

At the same milling time, R-P had the characteristics of high specific surface area, fine particle diameter and uneven size distribution compared with POP, so R-P possessed both good grindability and poor grading. The water absorption, dissolution rate and mass loss in dry-wet cycle of the hardened recycled gypsum(hardened RG) increased, while the water saturated strength and dry-wet cycle strength decreased significantly compared with the hardened virgin gypsum(hardened VG). Therefore, poor wettability could be seen in R-P. The analyses indicated that the changes of grindability and grading could be attributed to the reduction in hardness and the increase in the porosity of hardened RG and that the poor wettability of R-P was caused by the increase of large pores and the changes of microstructure of hardened RG.展开更多

A Pareto-based genetic algorithm was applied to optimizing the head stamping forming process. In the proposed optimal model, fracture, wrinkle and thickness varying are a function of several factors, such as fillet radius, draw-bead position, blank size and blank-holding force. Hence, it is necessary to investigate the relationship between the objective functions and the variables in order to make objective functions varying minimized simultaneously. Firstly, the central composite experimental(CCD) with four factors and five levels was applied, and the experimental data based on the central composite experimental were acquired. Then, the response surface model(RSM) was set up and the results of the analysis of variance(ANOVA) show that it is reliable to predict the fracture, wrinkle and thickness varying functions by the response surface model. Finally, a Pareto-based genetic algorithm was used to find out a set of Pareto front, which makes fracture, wrinkle and thickness varying minimized integrally. A head stamping case indicates that the present method has higher precision and practicability compared with the "trial and error" procedure.展开更多

The hot deformatation characteristics of aluminium alloy 7050 were investigated by hot uniaxial compression tests in order to obtain the material parameters used in the CA model. The influences of process parameters(strain, strain rate and temperature) on the fraction of DRX and the average recrystallization grain(R-grain) size were investigated and discussed. It is found that larger stain, higher temperature and lower strain rate(less than 0.1 s^(–1)) are beneficial to the increasing fraction of DRX. And the deformation temperature affects the mean R-grain size much more greatly than other parameters. It is also noted that there is a critical strain for the occurrence of DRX which is related to strain rate and temperature. In addition, it is shown that the CA model with topology deformation is able to simulate the microstructural evolution and the flow behavior of aluminium alloy 7050 material under various deformation conditions.展开更多

The qualily of steel was greatly improved.

文摘The mismatch of elasticity modulus has limited the application of titanium alloys in medical implants, and porous structures have been proved effective to deal with this problem. It reveals that fractures always initially occur at the vertical struts along the force direction which suffer from the main deformation.

文摘Half axle gears is produced by precision forging popularly because of the advantages in minimum machining allowances, lower material consumption and good service properties. The new structure of precision forging die-set and the new evaluation method guarantee a high forming quality ofhalfaxel gears.

文摘This study was conducted to evaluate the sensitivity of compressive strength, water permeability and electrical resistance of near-surface layer concrete with different fly ash contents to curing conditions. It is shown that the sensitivity to curing condition and fly ash content descends in the following order:difference between internal and surface resistivity (ρ) at 28 days, water permeability and compressive strength;both of longer duration of moist curing and use of fly ash in concrete enhanced the water penetration resistance. It is indicated that the resistivity difference ρ at 28 days can reflect accurately the curing history of fly ash concrete regardless of mix proportions;and use of fly ash in concrete requires longer moist curing duration.
文摘The structure evolutions of ZL109 alloy and 7050 alloy were studied in the processes of preparing raw billets by low super heat casting, remelting the raw billets, semisolid forming and heat treating components. As to 7050, after heat treatment, α particles recrystallized and thin grains pattern was obtained.

文摘The changes of grindability, grading and wettability of recycled plaster(R-P)and the mechanisms of these changes were studied by using vickers hardness, particle size distribution(PSD), scanning electron microscope(SEM) and nitrogen adsorption porosimetry to reveal that R-P was obviously different from plaster of Paris(POP). The analyses indicated that the changes of grindability and grading could be attributed to the reduction in hardness and the increase in the porosity of hardened RG and that the poor wettability of R-P was caused by the increase of large pores and the changes of microstructure of hardened RG.

文摘Slabs fabricated by means of three different ingot breakdown modes:hot-rolling,extrusion-rolling and twin-roll strip continuous casting-cum-rolling,were rolled into sheets and then annealed. Both the rolled and annealed sheets were investigated by SEM-EBSP,BSE,X-ray diffraction and tensile test, and compared in terms of microstructure, texture, and mechanical properties. Effects of different processing methods on the microstructure, texture and the related mechanical properties were discussed based on the experimental results.
文摘In order to improve the mechanical property and Cl-+S2-corrosion resistance of B15 copper-nickel alloy,Cu-15Ni-xRE(x:0-0.1%by weight)alloy was prepared by adding rare earth(RE)in melted Cu-15Ni alloy using metal mould casting method.Optical microscopy(OM),electronic tensile testing machine,X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscope(SEM),and electrochemical testing system were used to analyze mechanical property, corrosion resistance property, and surface microstructure of different treatment samples. The results of OM and tensile testing show that the RE addition can effectively deoxidize the alloy melt and the microstructure of the alloy changes from coarse dendrite to small equiaxed grain.By addition of 0.05%RE,the tensile strength and elongation of Cu-15Ni alloys are improved from 294 MPa to 340MPa,and 8%to 33.5%respectively.The results of electrochemical testing show that the corrosion resistance of Cu-15Ni alloy is greatly improved by adding proper amount of RE,whereas excess addition of RE worsens the corrosion resistance. The optimum RE content was about 0.05%by weight. In comparison with the alloy without RE,the corrosion potential and corrosion current density of Cu-15Ni alloy containing proper RE decreased by about-0.28 V and 70A/cm2,respectively.

文摘To obtain the optimal process parameters of stamping forming, finite element analysis and optimization technique were integrated via transforming multi-objective issue into a single-objective issue. A head stamping case indicates that the present method has higher precision and practicability compared with the "trial and error" procedure.

文摘An investigation on the plastic behavior of AZ31 magnesium alloy under ultrasonic vibration(with a frequency of 15 kHz and a maximum output of 2 kW) during the process of tension at room temperature was conducted to reveal the volume effect of the vibrated plastic deformation of AZ31.The characteristics of mechanical properties and microstructures of AZ31 under routine and vibrated tensile processes with different amplitudes were compared. It is found that ultrasonic vibration has a remarkable influence on the plastic behavior of AZ31 which can be summarized into two opposite aspects:the softening effect which reduces the flow resistance and improves the plasticity, and the hardening effect which decreases the formability. When a lower amplitude or vibration energy is applied to the tensile sample, the softening effect dominates, leading to a decrease of AZ31 deformation resistance with an increase of formability.Under the application of a high-vibrating amplitude, the hardening effect dominates, resulting in the decline of plasticity and brittle fracture of the samples.

文摘The dynamic recrystallization(DRX) process of hot compressed aluminium alloy 7050 was predicted using cellular automaton(CA) combined with topology deformation. In addition, it is shown that the CA model with topology deformation is able to simulate the microstructural evolution and the flow behavior of aluminium alloy 7050 material under various deformation conditions.
