The permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) may have chaotic behaviours for the uncertain values of parameters or under certain working conditions, which threatens the secure and stable operation of motor-driven. It is important to study methods of controlling or suppressing chaos in PMSMs. In this paper, robust stabilities of PMSM with parameter uncertainties are investigated. After the uncertain matrices which represent the variable system parameters are formulated through matrix analysis, a novel asymptotical stability criterion is established. Some illustrated examples are also given to show the effectiveness of the obtained results. 展开更多

Nano-Ag incorporated hydroxyapatite/titania (HA/TiO2) coatings were deposited on Ti6A14V substrates by the plasma electrolytic oxidation process. Compared with the substrate, the deposited coatings display attractive mechani- cal and biomedical properties. First, the coatings have stronger wear resistance and corrosion resistance. Second, they show a strong antibacterial ability. The mean vitality of the P. gingivalis on the coating surfaces is reduced to about 21%. Third, the coatings have good biocompatibility. The mean viability of the fibroblast cells on the coating surface is increased to about 130%. With these attractive properties, Ag incorporated HA/TiO2 coatings may be useful in the biomedical field. 展开更多

This paper presents a novel approach to hyperchaos control of hyperchaotic systems based on impulsive control and the Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model. In this study, the hyperchaotic Lu system is exactly represented by the T-S fuzzy model and an impulsive control framework is proposed for stabilizing the hyperchaotic Lu system, which is also suitable for classes of T-S fuzzy hyperchaotic systems, such as the hyperchaotic Rossler, Chen, Chua systems and so on. Sufficient conditions for achieving stability in impulsive T-S fuzzy hyperchaotic systems are derived by using Lyapunov stability theory in the form of the linear matrix inequality, and are less conservative in comparison with existing results. Numerical simulations are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. 展开更多

In this ECP, we only require one pair of less-entangled electron cluster states and one ancillary electron to complete the task. With the help of the controlled-not (CNOT) gate, the concentrated maximally entangled state can be retained for further application with some success probability. On the other hand, the discarded items can be reused to obtain a high success probability. All the features make this ECP useful in the current quantum information field. 展开更多

According to the latest amended agricultural economic statistical data from 1996 to 2009 in Henan Statistical Yearbook-2010,by selecting and establishing the optimized grey model of logarithmic new developed coefficient, we conduct the empirical analysis and forecast research on the grain output and the relevant main economic indices in Henan Province from 2010 to 2015. The results show that the grain output of Henan Province in 2010 will reach 54.896 9 million tons, and it will break through 60 million tons at 60.17 million tons in 2015. In years ahead, the grain output of Henan Province will develop to a new stage steadily, which guarantees the national grain supply and socio-economic sustainable development forcibly. 展开更多

We propose a scheme capable of performing complete Bell-state analysis for a single-photon hybrid entangled state.Our single-photon state is encoded in both polarization and frequency degrees of freedom.The setup of the scheme is composed of polarizing beam splitters,half wave plates,frequency shifters,and independent wavelength division multiplexers,which are feasible using current technology.We also show that with this setup we can perform complete two-photon Bell-state analysis schemes for polarization degrees of freedom.Moreover,it can also be used to perform the teleportation scheme between different degrees of freedom.This setup may allow extensive applications in current quantum communications. 展开更多

It is one of the key technologies in long-distance quantum communication. We discuss an entanglement purification protocol(EPP) with spontaneous parametric down conversion(SPDC) sources, in contrast to previous EPP with multi-copy mixed states, which requires ideal entanglement sources. We show that the SPDC source is not an obstacle for purification, but can benefit the fidelity of the purified mixed state. This EPP works for linear optics and is feasible in current experiment technology. 展开更多

In this paper, we propose three entanglement concentration protocols (ECPs) for Bell-type HES, W-type HES, and cluster-type HES, respectively. After performing these ECPs, we can obtain the maximally entangled HES with some success probability. All the ECPs exploit the single coherent state to complete the concentration. According to the result of the measurement of the charge detection, we can ultimately obtain the maximally entangled cluster states. We put forward an optimal entanglement concentration protocol(ECP) for recovering an arbitrary less-entangled multi-photon Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger(GHZ) state into the maximally entangled GHZ state based on the photonic Faraday rotation in low-quality(Q) cavity. In the ECP, only one pair of less-entangled multi-photon GHZ state and one auxiliary photon are required, and the concentration task can be realized by local operations. Moreover, our ECP can be used repeatedly to further concentrate the discarded items of conventional ECPs, which can increase its success probability largely. Under the practical imperfect detection condition, our protocol can still work with relatively high success probability. Moreover, DSQML can be extended to a more general case that the client does not have enough data, and resorts both the remote quantum server and remote databases to perform the secure machine learning. Here we propose a DSQML protocol that the client can classify two-dimensional vectors to different clusters, resorting to a remote small-scale photon quantum computation processor. The protocol is secure without leaking any relevant information to the Eve. Any eavesdropper who attempts to intercept and disturb the learning process can be noticed. In principle, this protocol can be used to classify high dimensional vectors and may provide a new viewpoint and application for future ‘‘big data". 展开更多

We present a universal way to concentrate an arbitrary N-particle less-entangled W state into a maximally entangled W state with different parity check gates.It comprises two protocols.The first protocol is based on the linear optical elements,say the partial parity check gate and the second protocol uses the quantum nondemolition measurement to construct the complete parity check gate.Both protocols can achieve the concentration task.These protocols have several advantages.First,they can obtain a maximally entangled W state only with the help of some single photons,which greatly reduces the number of entanglement resources.Second,in the first protocol,only linear optical elements are required,which is feasible with current techniques.Third,the second protocol can be repeated to perform the concentration step and obtain a higher success probability.All these advantages make it quite useful in current quantum communication and computation applications. 展开更多

The secret message can be encoded independently with desired unitary operations in two degrees of freedom. In this protocol, a party can synchronously obtain the other two parties' messages. Compared with previous three-party QSDC protocols, our protocol has several advantages. First, the single photons in our protocol are only required to transmit for three times. This advantage makes this protocol simple and useful. Second, Alice and Bob can send different secret messages to Charlie, respectively. The variational assimilation theory is generally based on unbiased observations. In practice, however, almost all observations suffer from biases arising from observational instruments, radiative transfer operator, precondition of data, and so on. Therefore, a bias correction scheme is indispensable. The current scheme for radiance bias correction in the GRAPES 3DVar system is an offline scheme. It is actually a static correction for the radiance bias before the process of cost function minimization. In consideration of its effects on forecast results, this kind of scheme has some shortcomings. Thus, this study provides a variational bias correction (VarBC) scheme for the GRAPES 3DVar system following Dee’s idea. In the VarBC scheme, the observation operator is modified and a new control variable is defined by taking the predictor coefficients as the control parameters. According to the feature of the GRAPES-3DVAR, an incremental formulation is applied and the original bias correction scheme is maintained in the actual process of observations. The VarBC is designed to co-exist with the original scheme, because it is a dynamic revision to the observational operator on the basis of the old method, i.e., it adjusts the model state vector along with the control parameters to an unbiased state in the process of minimization and the assimilation system remains consistent with available information automatically. Preliminary experimental results show that the mean departures of background-minus-observation and analysis-minus-observation are reduced as expected. In a case study of the heavy rainfall that happened in South China on 11–13 June 2008, the 500-hPa geopotential height is better simulated using the analyzed field from the VarBC as the initial condition. 展开更多
