We present the results of a study on the north-south asymmetry of solar filaments at low(<50°) and high(>60°) latitudes using daily filament numbers from January 1998 to November 2008(solar cycle 23). ...We present the results of a study on the north-south asymmetry of solar filaments at low(<50°) and high(>60°) latitudes using daily filament numbers from January 1998 to November 2008(solar cycle 23). It is found that the northern hemisphere is dominant at low latitudes for cycle 23. However, a similar asymmetry does not occur for solar filaments at high latitudes. The present study indicates that the hemispheric asymmetry of solar filaments at high latitudes in a cycle appears to have little connection with that at low latitudes. Our results support that the observed magnetic fields at high latitudes include two components: one comes from the emergence of the magnetic fields from the solar interior and the other comes from the drift of the magnetic activity at low latitudes.展开更多

The interaction and degeneration of two soliton-like solutions and its relations for the breather solution have been analyzed. The Peregrine rogue waves have been considered from the two kinds of formation processes: it can be generated through the limitation of the infinitely large period of the breather solutions, and it can be interpreted as the soliton-like solutions with different polarities. Excited-state intramolecular proton transfer(ESIPT) molecules are broadly applied to UV absorbers, fluorescence sensing, and lighting materials. In previous work, the fluorescence colors of oxazoline-substituted hydro...Excited-state intramolecular proton transfer(ESIPT) molecules are broadly applied to UV absorbers, fluorescence sensing, and lighting materials. In previous work, the fluorescence colors of oxazoline-substituted hydroxyfluorenes and hydroxylated benzoxazole were diversified by adding the π-conjugation. There is intriguing that the mechanism of diversified fluorescence colors induced by ESIPT. Here, the density functional theory(DFT) and time-dependent DFT(TDDFT)are advised to identify the effects of π-conjugation on ESIPT and photophysical properties. The stabilized geometrical configurations, frontier molecular orbitals(FMOs) isosurfaces, and O–H stretching vibration frequency analysis demonstrate that PT processes are more active in S1state. Constructing the minimum energy pathways of ESIPT processes, we find that the calculated peak of enol and keto fluorescence of naphthoxazole(NO–OH) is distinctly bathochromic-shift relative to the oxazoline-substituted hydroxyfluorenes(Oxa–OH) configuration when adding π-conjugation-substitution, and it means that π-conjugation-substitution can diversify the fluorescence color. We hope our studies can establish new channels to devise the ESIPT-based molecules.展开更多
There are often many inter-harmonics in power system.The high measurement accuracy of inter-harmonics order,amplitude and initial phase is needed.A new approach is presented for inter-harmonic modeling and parameter e...There are often many inter-harmonics in power system.The high measurement accuracy of inter-harmonics order,amplitude and initial phase is needed.A new approach is presented for inter-harmonic modeling and parameter estimation based on linear support vector machine (SVM).Firstly,parameter estimation of linear model is realized based on standard linear SVM.Then,inter-harmonic model is transformed to a linear model according to trigonometric functions.The approach obtains order of inter-harmonic model with windowed Blackman-Tukey (BT) spectrum analysis,and gets number and frequency of harmonics.Finally,the linear SVM is applied to estimate the inter-harmonic parameters,amplitude and initial phase.The simulation results show that the proposed approach has high precision and good antinoise.The accuracy of three parameters are all higher than 98%.展开更多
Heparin has been considered to be a potentially useful ligand for low-density lipoprotein(LDL) detection and analysis in a clinical context.In order to construct an affinity surface for preferential adsorption of LDL,...Heparin has been considered to be a potentially useful ligand for low-density lipoprotein(LDL) detection and analysis in a clinical context.In order to construct an affinity surface for preferential adsorption of LDL,heparin-modified gold surface(GS-Hep) was fabricated by a self-assembling method and hydrophobic-modified gold surfaces(GS-Hydro) was used as a control.The morphologies of the modified gold surfaces were investigated by atomic force microscopy(AFM) and the quantity of heparin bound to gold surface was assayed by the toluidine blue(TB) colorimetric method.Water contact angles were determined to investigate wettability on GS-Hep and GS-Hydro.Surface plasmon resonance(SPR) technique was used subsequently to detect the selective binding of LDL with heparin.And the investigation on the effect of pH on LDL adsorption suggests that lower pH lead to higher quantities of LDL adsorption on GS-Hep.Compared with GS-Hydro,GS-Hep is selective for LDL from both single and binary protein solutions.Moreover,adsorbed LDL on GS-Hep could be washed off by injecting elution solution,such as NaCl solution,for the purpose of the regeneration of GS-Hep for further LDL adsorption.展开更多

The whole domain is divided into two disjoint subdomains. ...In this article, we introduce a coupled approach of local discontinuous Galerkin and standard finite element method for solving convection diffusion problems. The whole domain is divided into two disjoint subdomains. The discontinuous Galerkin method is adopted in the subdomain where the solution varies rapidly, while the standard finite element method is used in the other subdomain due to its lower computational cost. The stability and a priori error estimate are established. We prove that the coupled method has O((ε1 / 2 + h 1 / 2 )h k ) convergence rate in an associated norm, where ε is the diffusion coefficient, h is the mesh size and k is the degree of polynomial. The numerical results verify our theoretical results. Moreover, 2k-order superconvergence of the numerical traces at the nodes, and the optimal convergence of the errors under L 2 norm are observed numerically on the uniform mesh. The numerical results also indicate that the coupled method has the same convergence order and almost the same errors as the purely LDG method.展开更多

We address the existence,stability and propagation dynamics of solitons supported by large-scale defects surrounded by the harmonic photonic lattices imprinted in the defocusing saturable nonlinear medium.Several fami...We address the existence,stability and propagation dynamics of solitons supported by large-scale defects surrounded by the harmonic photonic lattices imprinted in the defocusing saturable nonlinear medium.Several families of soliton solutions,including flat-topped,dipole-like,and multipole-like solitons,can be supported by the defected lattices with different heights of defects.The width of existence domain of solitons is determined solely by the saturable parameter.The existence domains of various types of solitons can be shifted by the variations of defect size,lattice depth and soliton order.Solitons in the model are stable in a wide parameter window,provided that the propagation constant exceeds a critical value,which is in sharp contrast to the case where the soliton trains is supported by periodic lattices imprinted in defocusing saturable nonlinear medium.We also find stable solitons in the semi-infinite gap which rarely occur in the defocusing media.展开更多

PC12 cells were c...In this study, poly(L-lactic acid)/ammonium persulfate doped-polypyrrole composite fibrous scaffolds with moderate conductivity were produced by combining electrospinning with in situ polymerization. PC12 cells were cultured on these fibrous scaffolds and their growth following electrical stimulation (0-20.0 μA stimulus intensity, for 1-4 days) was observed using inverted light microscopy, and scanning electron microscopy coupled with the MTT cell viability test. The results demonstrated that the poly(L-lactic acid)/ammonium persulfate doped-polypyrrole fibrous scaffold was a dual multi-porous micro/nano fibrous scaffold. An electrical stimulation with a current intensity 5.0-10.0 μA for about 2 days enhanced neuronal growth and neurite outgrowth, while a high current intensity (over 15.0 μA) suppressed them. These results indicate that electrical stimulation with a moderate current intensity for an optimum time frame can promote neuronal growth and neurite outgrowth in an intensity- and time-dependent manner.展开更多

Purpose-Recently,the convolutional neural network(ConvNet)has a wide application in the classification of motor imagery EEG signals,However,the low sigalto-noise electroencephalogram(EEG)signals are ollectede under th...Purpose-Recently,the convolutional neural network(ConvNet)has a wide application in the classification of motor imagery EEG signals,However,the low sigalto-noise electroencephalogram(EEG)signals are ollectede under the interference of noises.However,the conventional ConvNet model cannot directly solve this problem.This study aims to discuss the aforementioned issues.Design/methodology/approach-To solve this problem,this paper adopted a novel residual shrinkage block(RSB)to construct the ComvNet model(RSBConvNet).During the feature extraction from EEG simnals,the proposed RSBConvNet prevented the noise component in EEG signals,and improved the classification accuracy of motor imagery.In the construction of RSBConvNet,the author applied the soft thresholding strategy to prevent the non-related.motor imagery features in EEG sigmals.The soft thresholding was inserted into the residual block(RB),and the suitable threshold for the curent EEG signals distribution can be learned by minimizing the loss function.Therefore,during the feature extraction of motor imagery,the proposed RSBConvNet de noised the EEG signals and improved the discriminative of dassifiation features.Findings-Comparative experiments and ablation studies were done on two public benchumark datasets.Compared with conventionalConvNet models,the proposed RSBConvNet model has olbvious improvements in motor imagery classification accuracy and Kappa officient.Ablation studies have also shown the de noised abilities of the RSBConvNet modeL Morbover,different parameters and computational methods of the RSBConvNet model have been tested om the dassificatiton of motor imagery.Originality/value-Based ou the experimental results,the RSBComvNet constructed in this paper has an excellent reogmition accuracy of M-BCI which can be used for further appications for the online MI-BCI.展开更多

文摘Purpose-Recently,the convolutional neural network(ConvNet)has a wide application in the classification of motor imagery EEG signals,However,the low sigalto-noise electroencephalogram(EEG)signals are ollectede under the interference of noises.However,the conventional ConvNet model cannot directly solve this problem.This study aims to discuss the aforementioned issues.Design/methodology/approach-To solve this problem,this paper adopted a novel residual shrinkage block(RSB)to construct the ComvNet model(RSBConvNet).During the feature extraction from EEG simnals,the proposed RSBConvNet prevented the noise component in EEG signals,and improved the classification accuracy of motor imagery.In the construction of RSBConvNet,the author applied the soft thresholding strategy to prevent the non-related.motor imagery features in EEG sigmals.The soft thresholding was inserted into the residual block(RB),and the suitable threshold for the curent EEG signals distribution can be learned by minimizing the loss function.Therefore,during the feature extraction of motor imagery,the proposed RSBConvNet de noised the EEG signals and improved the discriminative of dassifiation features.Findings-Comparative experiments and ablation studies were done on two public benchumark datasets.Compared with conventionalConvNet models,the proposed RSBConvNet model has olbvious improvements in motor imagery classification accuracy and Kappa officient.Ablation studies have also shown the de noised abilities of the RSBConvNet modeL Morbover,different parameters and computational methods of the RSBConvNet model have been tested om the dassificatiton of motor imagery.Originality/value-Based ou the experimental results,the RSBComvNet constructed in this paper has an excellent reogmition accuracy of M-BCI which can be used for further appications for the online MI-BCI.

文摘In this paper,we construct and analyze a Crank-Nicolson fitted finite volume scheme for pricing European options under regime-switching Kou’s jumpdiffusion model which is governed by a system of partial integro-differential equations(PIDEs).We show that this scheme is consistent,stable and monotone as the mesh sizes in space and time approach zero,hence it ensures the convergence to the solution of continuous problem.Finally,numerical experiments are performed to demonstrate the efficiency,accuracy and robustness of the proposed method.

文摘Let G be a simple graph with maximum degree A(G) and total chromatic number Xve(G). Vizing conjectured thatΔ(G) + 1≤Xve(G)≤Δ(G) + 2 (Total Chromatic Conjecture). Even for planar graphs, this conjecture has not been settled yet. The unsettled difficult case for planar graphs isΔ(G) = 6. This paper shows that if G is a simple planar graph with maximum degree 6 and without 4-cycles, then Xve(G)≤8. Together with the previous results on this topic, this shows that every simple planar graph without 4-cycles satisfies the Total Chromatic Conjecture.

文摘We propose the two-step modulus-based matrix splitting iteration methods for a class of nonlinear complementarity problems.The corresponding convergence the-ory is established when the system matrix is an H_(+)-matrix.Theoretical analysis gives the choice of parameter matrix involved based on the H-compatible splitting of the sys-tem matrix.Moreover,in actual implementation,the choices of iterative parameters for two-step modulus-based accelerated overrelaxation methods are studied.Numeri-cal experiments show that the method is efficient and further verify the convergence theorems.
