Cell growth inhibitory effects of the derivatives against Hela cell were evaluated by MTT assay. All these derivatives were found to have stronger cell growth inhibitory than their parent compound, ursolic acid. The results revealed that the crystalline type of Rhizoma Dioscorea starch c...The changes in crystalline properties of starch from Rhizoma Dioscorea by acid hydrolysis was characterized by X-Ray diffractometry (XRD). The results revealed that the crystalline type of Rhizoma Dioscorea starch changed from C-type to A-type after 16 days of the acid hydrolysis. This phenomenon was different from that of other starches subjected to the acid hydrolysis. The results revealed that the B-polymorphs of C-type starch constituted the amorphous regions while the crystalline areas were mainly composed of A-polymorphs. The degree of crystallinity of the acid-thinned starch increased gradually with the time of acid hydrolysis.展开更多

A series of KF-AlF 3 eutectic productions ...In this study, Nocolok eutectic flux,used widely in the process of the brazing of aluminum and its alloy, was prepared by the reaction between Al(OH) 3/KOH resolution and HF. A series of KF-AlF 3 eutectic productions at various reaction temperatures were prepared. The melting points of the products were measured by differential thermal analysis (DTA), and the composites were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The results suggest that the temperature control is important to produce an ideal flux consisting of K 2AlF 5, H 2O and KAlF 4, with a low melting point of 560 ℃,which is suitable for the brazing of aluminum and its alloy as the aluminum fluxes.展开更多

Practical procedures of using CE to determine the Km and Vmax values of an enzyme have been developed. By studying the inhibition to the enzyme, it is possible to select a suitable drug candidate. When compared with the conventional CE method, single lane microchip-based method can improve the speed for the assay three times. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the anti-infectious efficacy of essential oil extracted from Caoguo(Fructus Tsaoko).METHODS: Minimum inhibitory concentrations(MICs) against clinical isolates of three extracts andthe essential ...OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the anti-infectious efficacy of essential oil extracted from Caoguo(Fructus Tsaoko).METHODS: Minimum inhibitory concentrations(MICs) against clinical isolates of three extracts andthe essential oil from Caoguo(Fructus Tsaoko) were determined by the agar dilution method. The anti-infectious efficacy of the essential oil was evaluated using a mouse peritonitis model which was infected with Staphylococcus aureus or Escherichia coli. The chemical components of the essential oil were identified.RESULTS: The results showed that the essential oil exhibited strong antibacterial activity in vitro, with MICs ranging from 22.49 to 1438.91 μg/m L. The results of in vivo anti-infectious efficacy showed that the Caoguo(Fructus Tsaoko) essential oil can protect the mice from Staphylococcus aureus or Escherichia coli infection. The compositions of the essential oil and relative component percentages were examined. A total of 32 compounds, were identified. The major compounds of essential oil were 1,8-cineole(25.92%) and geraniol(13.69%).CONCLUSION: Our findings suggest that Caoguo(Fructus Tsaoko) essential oil has broad-spectrum antibacterial properties. It warrants further investigation as an antibacterial agent targeting some bacterium with multi-drug resistance.展开更多
