It is an important precondition for machine fault diagnosis that vibrationsignal can be extracted effectively. Based on the characteristic of noise interfused during thecourse of sampling vibration signal, independent component analysis (ICA) method is combined withwavelet to de-noise. Firstly, The sampled signal can be separated with ICA, then the function offrequency band chosen with multi-resolution wavelet transform can be used to judge whether thestochastic disturbance singular signal is interfused. By these ways, the vibration signals can beextracted effectively, which provides favorable condition for subsequent feature detection ofvibration signal and fault diagnosis. 展开更多

To overcome the design limitations of traditional hydraulic control systemfor synthetic rubber press and such faults as high fault rate, low reliability, highenergy-consuming and which always led to shutting down of post-treatment product line for syntheticrubber, brand-new hydraulic system combining with PC control and two-way cartridge valves for thepress is developed, whose reliability is analyzed, reliability model of the hydraulic system for thepress is established by analyzing processing steps, and reliability simulation of each step and thewhole system is carried out by software MATLAB, which is verified through reliability test. Thefixed time test has proved not that theory analysis is sound, but the system has characteristics ofreasonable design and high reliability, and can lower the required power supply and operationalenergy cost. 展开更多

The 3-D traction field in the pressure screw-pair of a 3 500 heavy and mediumplate mill press down system is successfully calculated by applying the 3-D frictional contactmultipole-BEM and the corresponding program that has been developed. The computing results show themedium diameter orientation is unreliable, especially under the interference of an outer forcecouple. Under such working conditions, the circumferential traction distribution on the screw teethis extremely uneven, which is the main reason for the destruction and short life time ofscrew-pairs. When utilizing the same precision (the relative tolerance is 10X10^(-5)), themultipole-BEM uses almost the same CPU time as used by the FEM, but the needed computer memory sizeis only one eightieth of that needed by the FEM (10 MB vs. 800 MB). The multipole-BEM is well suitedfor computing large-scale engineering problems. 展开更多

For an inertia vibration mechanical systemdriven by one pair of motors runs in step, even the power supply of one motor is cut off, the motorcan continue to keep rotating state under the vibration exciting of the machine body driven by onlyone other motor. And its rotating frequency will be the same as that of the other one. The transientprocess of this wonderful physical phenomenon has not been described quantitatively according tocurrent-existing mechanical models. On the basis of investigation of the engineering characteristicsof VST, a mechanical and electrical coupling mathematical model of a two-shaft inertia vibrationmachine is established. Focuses on the phenomenon of different directions of flow among Germany pump, Chinesepump and Swiss pump, which are all fitted with nozzle/diffuser-elements, and analyzes the coneangle of nozzle/diffuser-elements based on the flow equation of valve-less piezoelectric pump withnozzle/diffuser-elements. A program-pattern using the fast multipole boundary element method (FM- BEM) is given for 3-D elastic contact with friction to replace the Monte Carlo method. A new optimized generalized minimal residual (GMRES) algorithm is presented. Numerical examples demonstrate the validity of the program-pattern optimization model for node-to-surface contact with friction. The GMRES algorithm greatly improves the computational efciency. 展开更多

Dry milling of S136 hardened steel is carried out using TiAlN coated carbide micro-end mill (2 mm).The effect of cutting speed, feed per tooth and radial depth of cut on cutting force is analyzed. Cutting parameters adapting to dry machining and strategy optimized for higher rate of material removal with lower cutting force are attained. Results of SEM observation show that the main failure patterns of micro-end mill are breakage of tool tip, wear and drop-off of surface coating, micro-chipping, and breakage of flank. 展开更多

The simulationsin the first stand of five stand cold tandem rolling mill indicate that the calculation forsensitivities by this proposed method can obtain a good accuracy, and an appropriate adjustment onthe control variables determined directly by the sensitivity has an excellent compensation accuracy.Moreover, the roll gap has larger effect on the exit thickness than both front tension and backtension, and it is more efficient to select the roll gap as the control variable of the thicknesscontrol system in the first stand. 展开更多

Based on a lot of numerical solutions to the problems of the thermalnon-Newtonian elastohydrodynamic lubrication and some fatigue tests with rollers, the lubricationfactor of involute spur gears (called gear for short) is investigated. The results suggest that gearlubrication effects bear close relations to a dimensionless parameter D which is syntheticallydetermined by gearing rotational speed, load, material, dimension and lubricant viscosity. When D<=8, the gear fatigue life increases as the lubricant viscosity is increased; When D>8, however, thelife decreases with the viscosity addition, which is in marked contrast to the lubrication factorZ_L recommended by the International Standard for Computing Cylindrical Gear Strength. At the end, aset of formulae for calculating gear lubrication factors suitable for different working conditionsare advanced. 展开更多

Abstract: The current method to solve the problem of active suspension control for a vehicle is often dealt with a quarter-car or half-car model. But it is not enough to use this kind of model for practical applications. In this paper, based on considering the influence of factors such as, seat and passengers, a MDOF(multi-degree-of-freedom) model describing the vehicle motion is set up. The MODF model, which is 8DOF of four independent suspensions and four wheel tracks, is more applicable by comparison of its analysis result with some conventional vehicle models. Therefore, it is more suitable to use the 8DOF full-car model than a conventional 4DOF half-car model in the active control design for car vibration. Based on the derived 8DOF model, a controller is designed by using LQ (linear quadratic ) control theory, and the appropriate control scheme is selected by testing various performance indexes. Computer simulation is carried out for a passenger car running on a road with step disturbance and random road disturbance expressed by Power Spectral Density (PSD). Vibrations corresponding to ride comfort are derived under the foregoing road disturbances. The response results for uncontrolled and controlled system are compared. The response of vehicle vibration is greatly suppressed and quickly damped, which testifies the effect of the active suspension. The results achieved for various controllers are compared to investigate the influence of different control schemes on the control effect. 展开更多

To apply isolation design effectively, it is necessary toinvestigate the nature vibration characteristics of the rigid motor, flexible base coupled system. Auniversal dynamic express for the coupled system is derived. A PC-based measurement solution ispresented. And the system's dynamic behavior is then investigated numerically and experimentally.The results show that a strong interaction will exist between the motor's rigid mode and theflexible base's mode when the motor's mounting frequency is close to the flexible base's firstnatural frequency. The first natural frequency of the coupled system is generally lower than themotor's rigid mode frequency. At high frequency, the flexible base's modes are the dominant modes ofthe coupled system. 展开更多

It is a processing based on thermal activation in liquid phase (molten salt) after mechanical activ ation. The nanometer-sized TiC particles (15-20nm) have been synthesized by the method, and analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscop e (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersion X-ray (EDX) sp ectroscopy. An interface interaction between liquid (molten salt) and solid (fin al product particles) phases plays a dominating role for the control of product particles size. The mechanism for the formation of nanometer-sized TiC particles has been discussed. 展开更多

The mission of the project is to widely investigate both physics and technologies of advanced tokamak operations, especially the mechanism of power and particle handling for steady-state operations. The cryogenic component is mainly composed of superconducting TF and superconducting PF coils that ensure the ability of sustaining magnetic field for plasma confinement, control and shaping in steady-state. A novel distributed numerical control (DNC) integrated system based on plug-in software technology is proposed. It connects new or old numerical control (NC) machine tools which have inhomogeneous numerical control systems with CAD/CAM system by CANbus network. A DNC computer is able to control 15 sets of NC machine tools reliably at the same time. The novel DNC system increases the efficiency of machine tools and improve the production management level by realizing non-paper production, agile manufacturing, networked manufacturing and so on in the near future. Key technologies to construct the novel DNC integrated system include the integration of inhomogeneous numerical control systems, NC program restart, and algorithm for communication competition. Such system has demonstrated successful applications in some corporations that have acquired good economic benefits and social effects. 展开更多
