The first part is determined by the conditions under whi... A stochastic optimal control strategy for partially observable nonlinear quasi Hamiltonian systems is proposed. The optimal control forces consist of two parts. The first part is determined by the conditions under which the stochastic optimal control problem of a partially observable nonlinear system is converted into that of a completely observable linear system. The second part is determined by solving the dynamical programming equation derived by applying the stochastic averaging method and stochastic dynamical programming principle to the completely observable linear control system. The response of the optimally controlled quasi Hamiltonian system is predicted by solving the averaged Fokker-Planck-Kolmogorov equation associated with the optimally controlled completely observable linear system and solving the Riccati equation for the estimated error of system states. An example is given to illustrate the procedure and effectiveness of the proposed control strategy. 展开更多

Acoustic signals from diesel engines contain useful information but also include considerable noise components To extract information for condition monitoring purposes, continuous wavelet transform (CWT) is used for the characterization of engine acoustics. This paper first reviews CWT characteristics represented by short duration transient signals. Wavelet selection and CWT are then implemented and wavelet transform is used to analyze the major sources of the engine front's exterior radiation sound. The research provides a reliable basis for engineering practice to reduce vehicle sound level. Comparison of the identification results of the measured acoustic signals with the identification results of the measured surface vibration showed good agreement. 展开更多

The total specific energy of the binary media (methane-nitrogen) cycle system could be much higher than the unitary medium (liquid nitrogen) cycle system. By theoretical analysis, the reasonably acceptable driving range proved the feasibility of the liquid nitrogen engine used for supplying power for a lightweight car. 展开更多

Study of CNG/diesel dual fuel engine's emissions by means of RBF neural network 被引量:5

Great efforts have been made to resolve the serious environmental pollution and inevitable declining of energy resources. A review of Chinese fuel reserves and engine technology showed that compressed natural gas (CNG)/diesel dual fuel engine (DFE) was one of the best solutions for the above problems at present. In order to study and improve the emission performance of CNG/diesel DFE, an emission model for DFE based on radial basis function (RBF) neural network was developed which was a black-box input-output training data model not require priori knowledge. The RBF centers and the connected weights could be selected automatically according to the distribution of the training data in input-output space and the given approximating error. Studies showed that the predicted results accorded well with the experimental data over a large range of operating conditions from low load to high load. The developed emissions model based on the RBF neural network could be used to successfully predict and optimize the emissions performance of DFE. And the effect of the DFE main performance parameters, such as rotation speed, load, pilot quantity and injection timing, were also predicted by means of this model. In resum6, an emission prediction model for CNG/diesel DFE based on RBF neural network was built for analyzing the effect of the main performance parameters on the CO, NOx emissions of DFE. The predicted results agreed quite well with the traditional emissions model, which indicated that the model had certain application value, although it still has some limitations, because of its high dependence on the quantity of the experimental sample data. 展开更多

It contains two steps: segmentation and recovery of parametric representation of the blend. The segmentation separates the points in the blend region from the rest of the input point cloud with the processes of sampling point data, estimation of local surface curvature properties and comparison of maximum curvature values. The recovery of parametric representation generates a set of profile curves by marching throughout the blend and fitting cylinders. Compared with the existing approaches of blend surface feature extraction, the proposed method reduces the requirement of user interaction and is capable of extracting blend surface with either constant radius or variable radius. Detailed parametric study of three-dimensional gas-particle multiphase flow characteristics in Ubeam tube bundle ntertial separators was conducted by numerical simulation.The carrier phase was treated in the Eulerian frame,the particles were tracked in the Lagrangian frame,and particle-wall collision was considered.Simulation carried out at different inflow rate and mass loading ratios revealed the pressure losses in the separators,velocity field of the gas phase,and the trajectories of particles.The study results revealed the multiphase flow-dynamic features of the separators,and the relationship between separator pressure losses and different inlet velocity.The numerical simulation can provde basis both for optimal disign of mpacting-inertial separator used in circulating fluidized bed boiler;and for study of gas-particle multiphase circumfluence flow. 展开更多

An experimental investigation on DC flow suppression in a single-stage G-M type pulse tube cooler is made. The influence of DC flow induced by the introduction of the double-inlet on the refrigeration performance of the cooler is experimentally examined. Two parallelplaced needle valves with an opposite flow direction called as double-valved configuration, instead of conventional single-valved configuration as the double-inlet is used to reduce the DC flow. With the double-valved configuration, the minimum temperatures of 18.4 K and 14.7 K, and the cooling powers of 11.5 W and 29.5 W are also obtained by RW2 and CP4000, respectively. 展开更多

A detailed parametric study is conducted on three-dimensional gas-solid multiphase flow characteristics in inertial separators via numerical simulation. The carrier phase is treated in the Eulerian frame, the particles are tracked in the Lagrangian frame, and particle-wall collision and particle-particle collision are considered. The inertial separators are made out of U-beam tube, arranged staggered .The separator has good performance for large particles and its compact structures make it easy to manufacture and install. The simulation is carried out in different inflow rate and provide the pressure losses in the separators, velocity field of gas phase, the trajectories of particles and the separation efficiency of separators. The result from this study not only shows the multiphase flow-dynamic characteristics of the separators, but also gives the relationship among the efficiency, structure and pressure losses of the separator. The comparison between the numerical simulation result and experimental data demonstrate the reliability of the numerical simulation. 展开更多

The flow field of a rectangular exit, semi-confined and submerged turbulent jet impinging orthogonally on a flat plate with Reynolds number 8500 was studied by large eddy simulation (LES). A dynamic sub-grid stress model has been used for the small scales of turbulence. The evolvements such as the forming, developing, moving,pairing and merging of the coherent structures of vortex in the whole regions were obtained. The results revealed that the primary vortex structures were generated periodically, which was the key factor to make the secondary vortices generate in the wall jet region. In addition, the eddy intensity of the primary vortices and the secondary vortices induced by the primary vortices along with the time were also analyzed. 展开更多
