The Fe adatom chemisorption on Ga- and As-terminatedsurface are considered separately. A monolayer of S atoms is used to saturate the dangling bonds on one of the supercellsurfaces. Energies of adsorption systems of an Fe atom on different sites are calculated, and the charge transfers areinvestigated. It is found that Fe-As interaction is stronger than Fe-Ga interaction and Fe atoms prefer to be adsorbed onthe As-terminated surface. It is possible for the adsorbed Fe atoms to sit below the As-terminated surface resulting inan Fe-Ga-As mixed layer. The layer projected density states are calculated and compared with that of the clean surface.展开更多

Beginning with the potential between two molecules, by using the cell model of liquid, applying statistical physical method, the distribution function and the free energy of the system are obtained. By using variational approach and zero-order approximation, the differential equation that the order parameter tensor of the blue phase can satisfy is obtained. Then we change the differential equation to the eigenequation problem in quantum mechanics. Considering the symmetry of the blue phases,the order parameter tensors of blue phases Ⅰ and Ⅱ can be made up of the eigenvectors. Our results are the same as the results of Ginzberg-Landau's phenomenological theory. The parameters in the order parameter tensors that we calculate in the located system are close to the predecessors' results.展开更多

Their effects on the baryon and meson spectral functions and...In an approximation where the baryon current conservation is violated, the contribution of the κμκυ terms in the vector meson propagator may not vanish. Their effects on the baryon and meson spectral functions and on the consequences of self-consistency are studied in the relativistic self-consistent Hartree-Fock approximation by means of the σ-ω model. Two cases where the κμκυ terms are and are not neglected are compared. It is found that there is a marked change in the baryon spectral function which becomes more peaked in the latter case. Such a change remains even by a proper readjustment of parameters. The effects of self-consistency in the σ-ω model are qualitatively the same in both cases, though quantitatively there is some significant difference.展开更多

By transforming the intermolecular interaction potential,the Hamiltonian of the system has the same form as that of the ferromagnetic substance. The relation of the orderparameters to the reduced temperature can be obtained. It is in good agreement with the experimental results in thelow temperature region. In the high temperature region close to the transition point, by using the Hamiltonian, thetransition point can be obtained, which is near to the Maier-Saupe's result.展开更多

Tungsten dioxo complex WO 2(C 9H 6NO) 2 was obtained via the low temperature solid-state reaction of(NH 4) 2WS 4, 8-hydroxyquinoline(8-hq) and(CH 3) 4NI, and it was characterized by means of elemental analyse...Tungsten dioxo complex WO 2(C 9H 6NO) 2 was obtained via the low temperature solid-state reaction of(NH 4) 2WS 4, 8-hydroxyquinoline(8-hq) and(CH 3) 4NI, and it was characterized by means of elemental analyses, IR spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis. The crystal of the title compound belongs to monoclinic, space group C2/c, with the crystal cell parameters: a=1.3316(3) nm, b=0.94444(19) nm, c=1.3485(3) nm, β=109.66(3)°, V=1.5970(6) nm 3, Z=6. The title compound possesses a supramolecular structure formed through hydrogen bonds and π-π stacking interactions. The third-order non-linear optical(NLO) properties of the title compound were also investigated. The third-order non-linear absorption coefficient α 2 and refractive index n 2 are 0.85×10 -11 m/W -1 and -1.5×10 -19 m 2/W, respectively. The third-order non-linear susceptibility χ (3) is 3.03×10 -13 esu for 3.8×10 -5 mol/L sample concentration.展开更多
InGaAsP/InP multiple quantum wells with quantum well intermixing have been prepared by impurity-free vacancy disordering.The luminescent characteristics were investigated using photoluminescence and photoreflectance,f...InGaAsP/InP multiple quantum wells with quantum well intermixing have been prepared by impurity-free vacancy disordering.The luminescent characteristics were investigated using photoluminescence and photoreflectance,from which the band gap blue shift was observed.Si3N4,SiO2 and SOG were used for the dielectric layer to enhance intermixing from the outdiffusion of group III atoms.All samples were annealed by rapid thermal annealing.The results indicate that the band gap blue shift varies with the dielectric layers and the annealing temperature.The SiO2 capping with an InGaAs cladding layer was successfully used to induce larger band tuning effect in the InGaAsP/InP MQWs than the Si3N4 capping with an InGaAs cladding layer.On the other hand, samples with the Si3N4-InP cap layer combination also show larger energy shifts than that with SiO2-InP cap layer combination.展开更多
