Objectives To evaluate the changes of the plasma endothelin level in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy, and to investigate the relationship between the plasma endothelin level and the severity of heart failure, hea...Objectives To evaluate the changes of the plasma endothelin level in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy, and to investigate the relationship between the plasma endothelin level and the severity of heart failure, heart size, left ventricular function and with or not with pulmonary arterial hypertension; the changes of the plasma endothelin level before and after treatment. Methods The plasma endothelin level of 30 patients with DCM, 30 healthy control subjects, and their LVEF, PAP, heart size, plasma endothelin level before and after treatment were determined. Results The plasma endothelin level in DCM group was significantly higher than that in control group ( 135.93 ± 70. 65pg/mL) vs(43.65 ± 12.07pg/mL), P < 0.05 ; there was a correlation between ET level and heart size ( r = O. 4580, P = 0. 0109 ) ; there was a significant negative correlation between LVEF of DCM and ET level( r = -0. 6922 ,P =0. 0021 ) ;and it was a significant positive correlation between ET level and pulmonary arterial hypertension (r = 0. 8974, P < 0. 0005). After treatment, the ET level decreased significantly than before in DCM group (129. 15 ± 43.93pg/mL) vs (63.12 ± 22.20pg/mL), P < 0.05. Conclusions Plasma ET level may be a new parameter of evaluating severity of heart failure, efficacy of therapy and prognosis.展开更多

Increased ...In situ expression of major histocompatibility complex (MHC) Ⅰ and Ⅱ antigens were examined in endomyocardial biopsy samples from 35 patients with viral myocarditis (VMC) and dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM). Increased expressions of these 2 antigens were observed on endocardia, capillary endothelia, dentritic and mononuclear cell membranes. The expression of sarcolemma was also found in specimens of VMC and DCM. Thus the abnormal expression of MHC is a new marker of autoimmune reactivity directed against cardiac structures.展开更多
Crystal lattice deformations can be described microscopically by explicitly accounting for the position of atoms or macroscopically by continuum elasticity.In this work,we report on the description of continuous elast...Crystal lattice deformations can be described microscopically by explicitly accounting for the position of atoms or macroscopically by continuum elasticity.In this work,we report on the description of continuous elastic fields derived from an atomistic representation of crystalline structures that also include features typical of the microscopic scale.Analytic expressions for strain components are obtained from the complex amplitudes of the Fourier modes representing periodic lattice positions,which can be generally provided by atomistic modeling or experiments.The magnitude and phase of these amplitudes,together with the continuous description of strains,are able to characterize crystal rotations,lattice deformations,and dislocations.Moreover,combined with the so-called amplitude expansion of the phase-field crystal model,they provide a suitable tool for bridging microscopic to macroscopic scales.This study enables the in-depth analysis of elasticity effects for macroscale and mesoscale systems taking microscopic details into account.展开更多
An original interfacial hybrid cross-linker molecule combined electrochemical and photochemical properties by substitution of two functional groups,pyrene,and diazirine.The first group enables anchoring by strong p-st...An original interfacial hybrid cross-linker molecule combined electrochemical and photochemical properties by substitution of two functional groups,pyrene,and diazirine.The first group enables anchoring by strong p-stacking interaction or by electropolymerization onto multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNT).The other photoreactive group allows the covalent link with biomolecules under long-wavelength UV illumination.Diazirine was chosen due to its ability to photogenerate high reactive radicals under UV irradiation.The photoreactivity of these immobilized nanostructured conductive surfaces was tested towards the covalent attachment of tyrosinase which is well known to oxidize a large range of phenolic compounds and its yield and availability was evaluated by amperometric measurements of catechol by using molecular dioxygen.The architecture exhibiting the best analytical characteristics obtained for catechol was then chosen to detect dopamine.展开更多
The Basidiomycota constitutes a major phylum of the kingdom Fungi and is second in species numbers to the Ascomycota.The present work provides an overview of all validly published,currently used basidiomycete genera t...The Basidiomycota constitutes a major phylum of the kingdom Fungi and is second in species numbers to the Ascomycota.The present work provides an overview of all validly published,currently used basidiomycete genera to date in a single document.An outline of all genera of Basidiomycota is provided,which includes 1928 currently used genera names,with 1263 synonyms,which are distributed in 241 families,68 orders,18 classes and four subphyla.We provide brief notes for each accepted genus including information on classification,number of accepted species,type species,life mode,habitat,distribution,and sequence information.Furthermore,three phylogenetic analyses with combined LSU,SSU,5.8s,rpb1,rpb2,and ef1 datasets for the subphyla Agaricomycotina,Pucciniomycotina and Ustilaginomycotina are conducted,respectively.Divergence time estimates are provided to the family level with 632 species from 62 orders,168 families and 605 genera.Our study indicates that the divergence times of the subphyla in Basidiomycota are 406-430 Mya,classes are 211-383 Mya,and orders are 99-323 Mya,which are largely consistent with previous studies.In this study,all phylogenetically supported families were dated,with the families of Agaricomycotina diverging from 27-178 Mya,Pucciniomycotina from 85-222 Mya,and Ustilaginomycotina from 79-177 Mya.Divergence times as additional criterion in ranking provide additional evidence to resolve taxonomic problems in the Basidiomycota taxonomic system,and also provide a better understanding of their phylogeny and evolution.展开更多
