The internet of medical things(IoMT)empowers patients to get adaptable,and virtualized gear over the internet.Task scheduling is the most fundamental problem in the IoMT-cloud since cloud execution commonly relies on ...The internet of medical things(IoMT)empowers patients to get adaptable,and virtualized gear over the internet.Task scheduling is the most fundamental problem in the IoMT-cloud since cloud execution commonly relies on it.Thus,a proposition is being made for a distinct scheduling technique to suitably meet these solicitations.To manage the scheduling issue,an artificial intelligence(AI)method known as a hybrid genetic algorithm(HGA)is proposed.The proposed AI method will be justified by contrasting it with other traditional optimization and AI scheduling approaches.The CloudSim is utilized to quantify its effect on various parameters like time,resource utilization,cost,and throughput.The proposed AI technique enhanced the viability of task scheduling with a better execution rate of 32.47ms and a reduced time of 40.16ms.Thus,the experimented outcomes show that the HGA reduces cost as well as time profoundly.展开更多
Background: Discharged against medical advice (DAMA) is defined as any instance when a patient wants to leave the hospital against the managing physician’s decision. This study aimed to identify factors that influenc...Background: Discharged against medical advice (DAMA) is defined as any instance when a patient wants to leave the hospital against the managing physician’s decision. This study aimed to identify factors that influence patients to decide to be DAMA. Methods: A descriptive, cross-sectional study. The study was conducted in the emergency department (ED) of King Fahad Medical City (KFMC)-Saudi Arabia-Riyadh city. A questionnaire in both Arabic and English was distributed to all participants to fill in either English or Arabic. Results: Between 1 March and 30 April 2021, 510 responses were collected. Most of the study participants (31.4%) were over the age of 54. Our findings showed that 12.5% of our participants had taken discharge against medical advice in the past. Results Regarding Factors That Influence Patients to Decide on DAMA Showed: Regarding Inappropriate behavior and disrespect of the physician or staff to the patient and his relatives, 262 (51.4%) participants, 85 (16.7%) participants, and 163 (32%) participants agreed, neutral, and disagreed, respectively. Regarding the Lack of physicians’ and nurses’ attention to the patient and his relatives (emotionally), our result showed that 278 (54.5%) participants, 95 (18.6%) participants, and 137 (26.9%) participants agreed, neutral, and disagree, respectively. Regarding failure to inform the patient or his relatives of his condition, it showed that 257 (50.4%) participants, 95 (18.6%) participants, and 158 (31%) participants agreed, neutral, and disagreed, respectively. Regarding feeling better from DAMA, our result showed 226 (44.3%) participants, 119 (23.3%) participants, and 165 (32.4%) participants agreed, neutral, and disagreed, respectively. Regarding patients’ or their relative’s tiredness of hospital stay, the result showed that 166 (32.5%) participants, 104 (20.4%) participants, and 240 (47.1%) participants agreed, neutral, and disagreed, respectively. Conclusion: The long wait time to be seen by a physician was the major factor that forced patients to leave the emergency department against medical advice.展开更多
Alginate blended with cellulose nanocrystals(CNC),cellulose nanofibers(CNF),and tri-carboxylate cellulose nanofibers(TPC-CNF)prepared and encapsulated in the form of microcapsules(bio-polymeric beads).The cellulosic n...Alginate blended with cellulose nanocrystals(CNC),cellulose nanofibers(CNF),and tri-carboxylate cellulose nanofibers(TPC-CNF)prepared and encapsulated in the form of microcapsules(bio-polymeric beads).The cellulosic nanomaterials that used in this study were investigated as nanomaterials for wastewater treatment applications.Batch experiments were performed to study the removal of copper,lead,magnesium,and iron from aqueous solutions by the prepared beads.The effects of the sorbent dosage and the modified polymers on the removing efficiency of the metal cations were examined.Atomic absorption was used to measure the metal ions concentrations.The modified bio-polymeric beads(Alg-CNF,Alg-CNC,and Alg-TPC-CNF)exhibited high-efficiency towards removing of the metal cations;Cu^(2+),Pb^(2+),Mg^(2+),and Fe^(2+).The Alg-TPC-CNF composite was exhibited excellent removing efficiency which around 95%for Pb,92%for Cu,43%for Fe and 54%for Mg.These outcomes affirm that the utilization of nanomaterials giving higher adsorption capacities contrasted with similar material in its micro or macrostructure form.展开更多

India and is classified as Endangered by IUCN. Latidens is morphologically adapted to play a major role in the propagation of economically important trees: some of them are endemic to southern Western Ghats. This paper describes and documents, the bat"s ecology, foraging behavior and food selection. The study is based on the dietary details of the discovered populations of L. salimalii in the Agasthiyar hill range and the High Wavy Mountains of southern Western Ghats, India. Seeds. partially eaten fruits and seedlings germinated on the floor of the feeding roosts confirm this bat forage for fruits among relatively tall trees of evergreen forests in an elevation above 900 meter. Mist netting below and above canopy near the fruiting and flowering trees of their foraging area confirmed their interaction with certain endemic tree species. Their species specific dietars' preferences immensely help to restore and bring back the natural forest community structures.展开更多
In the present study, a new ceramide, namely 2S, 3R-4E, 8E-2-(heptadecanoylamino)-heptadeca-4, 8-diene-1, 3-diol(1), along with four known steroids, including 24-methylcholesta-5, 24(28)-diene-3β-ol(2), 24-methylchol...In the present study, a new ceramide, namely 2S, 3R-4E, 8E-2-(heptadecanoylamino)-heptadeca-4, 8-diene-1, 3-diol(1), along with four known steroids, including 24-methylcholesta-5, 24(28)-diene-3β-ol(2), 24-methylcholesta-5, 24(28)-diene-3β-acetate(3), 4-methyl-24-methylcholesta- 22-ene-3-ol(4), and cholesterol, was isolated and characterized from CH2Cl2/Me OH extract of Cespitularia stolonifera. A new acetate derivative of compound 1, termed 2S, 3R-4E, 8E-2-(heptadecanoylamino)-heptadeca-4, 8-diene-1, 3-diacetate(1a), was also prepared in the present study. All the structures were established on the basis of modern spectroscopic techniques, including FT-IR, 1D, 2D-NMR, HRESI-MS, and GC-MS, in addition of chemical methods.(-)-Alloaromadendren, ledane,(1)-alloaromadendren oxide, isoaromadendrene epoxide and(-)-caryophellen oxide were identified from the n-hexane fraction using GC-MS. The extract and the two ceramides(1) and(1a) exhibited significant cytotoxic activity against lung cancer A549 cells, while the extract and the two steroids(2) and(3) exhibited significant cytotoxic activity against breast cancer MCF-7 cells. The CH_2Cl_2/MeOH extract exhibited significant antiulcer activity in both ethanol and acetic acid induced ulcer models in rats, as evidenced by histopathological, histochemical, and biochemical examinations.展开更多
In this paper,we report the effect of sulfur doping on the electrical and dielectric properties of semiconducting Sb_(2)Se_(2)S over wide ranges of temperatures(298–473 K)and frequencies(42–10^(6) Hz).Sb_(2)Se_(2)S ...In this paper,we report the effect of sulfur doping on the electrical and dielectric properties of semiconducting Sb_(2)Se_(2)S over wide ranges of temperatures(298–473 K)and frequencies(42–10^(6) Hz).Sb_(2)Se_(2)S system has been prepared by the direct fusion and cooling cycle of a mixture of the constituent elements,in stoichiometric ratio and purity 99.999%,in vacuum-sealed silica tubes.X-ray analysis showed a decrease in the cell parameters a,b and c upon doping with sulfur.However,the pure and doped Sb_(2)Se_(3) showed the single orthorhombic phase structure.The permittivity of Sb_(2)Se_(2)S showed a decrease with increasing frequency due to a decrease in the average bond strength.While,ac conductivity increased with the frequency increase,obeying the Jonscher’s universal dynamic law.The conductivity temperature dependence is well described by the correlated barrier hopping model.The activation energy calculated from DC conductivity is found at higher value(0.79 eV)as compared to that reported in the literature for other antimony selenide compounds.Accordingly,a new Sb_(2)Se_(2)S compound is suggested which may be useful for electronic devices.展开更多
