The relationship between the structure of PP drawn filament and the crimp elasticity of tex-tured yarn is investigated.It is found that orientation,crystallinity,and especially,crystalline formof drawn filament are related to crimp property of textured yarn.Lower crystallinity,moderateorientation and unstable para-crystalline structure are necessary for increasing crimp elasticity.Inaddition,the filament structure and properties before and after texturing are compared. 展开更多

In this paper,the sequence distribution in the copolyester made from polyethyleneterephthalate (PET) and p-hydroxybenzoic acid (PHB) at 290℃has been investigated by 400MHz <sup>1</sup>H-NMR.It has been found that reference factor m of PET/PHB copo!yester linearly de-creases when PHB molar fraction increases.In addition,a series of sequence structure parameters,such as PET,PHB segment mean length,randomness,etc.are calculated from a probability modelby m,X<sub>PHB</sub>%.This copolyester made at 290℃ is found to be nearer to that of completely randomcopolymer compared with that of the eopolyester made at 270℃,as in the case of the generalcopolycondensation.PHB-rich phase is formed only when PHB per number≥4,basing on thisconclusion,we establish the relationship between theoretical contents of PHB-rich phaseW<sub>PHB</sub>% and PHB contents X<sub>PHB</sub>% :W<sub>PHB</sub>%=104.0X<sub>PHB</sub><sup>4.40</sup> The minimum PHB-rich phase con-tent forming liquid crystal phase is 1.1% wt. 展开更多

Cation Dyeable Polyester(CDP)was made by copolymerizing dimethyl terephthalate(DMT),S-sodium sulfonate dimethyl isophthalate(SIPM) with a weight fraction of 4.5% and ethyleneglycol (EG).Blend of PET and CDP was spun into hollow fiber.The fiber was then treated withaqueous NaOH.In this paper,kinetics and mechanism of alkaline hydrolysis of PET,CDP andtheir blend PET/CDP fiber were studied by means of specific area measurement,scantling elec-tron microscopy and other chemical analyses.It was showed that the rate of alkaline hydrolysis isCDP】PET/CDP】PET.Because of blending effect,the alkaline hydrolysis of PET/CDP is dif-ferent from that of PET.CDP phase in the PET/CDP fiber is predominantly hydrolyzed,andhence some pieces of fiber(micro-fiber) fall off the fiber because of etching. 展开更多

The supermolecular structure and mechanical properties as well as the crimp behavior of theside-by-side polyamide (PA 66-C710) fibers are studied by means of density gradient method,sonic measurement,X-ray,diffractometry,differential scanning calorimetry,crimp tester etc.fortheir as-spun fibers,drawn fibers,and boiling-water treated fibers.The effects of the processingand treatment conditions on the formation of the supermolecular structure and the crimp behaviorof the fibers are investigated and discussed in detail,also the crimp mechanism of the side-by-sidebicomponent fibers is proposed.From these results,it is shown that by adopting suitable spinningfinish,reasonable processing technology and optimal heat treatment conditions the side-by-sidebicomponent polyamide fibers with excellent crimp property,close to that of nylon texturizedstretch yarns,can be obtained. 展开更多

The reactor is equipped with two different types of agitators: the diameter-variable agitator and the two-pitched-paddle agitator. The diameter of the former can be varied according to the requirement of the chemical reactions, thus making the concentration and temperature of the whole reaction system uniform throughout the reactor without any stagnant zone. It is shown that the apparatus has the preponderance over conventional agitator, especially when extremely rapid reactions are accompanied by large amount of reaction heat and when the viscosity of the reaction system varies in a wide range. The reactor is very effective when applied to the polycondensation reaction between paraphenylene diamine (PPDA) and terephthyl chloride (TPC). The inherent viscosity (η<sub>inh</sub>) of the polymer comes up to more than 5. This innovative agitator has the advantage of simplicity in structure and flexibility in operation, etc. 展开更多
