It has a poorer prognosis compared to cervical squamous cancer or adenocarcinoma, and the therapeutic regimen of the disease differs. Diagnosis is based on pathomorphological characteristics, i.e., the small and round cancer cells (oat cell) which are uniform in shape and size, with the immunohistochemical marker helpful for diagnosis. Combined therapy is first recommended, Postoperative chemotherapy with platinum/etoposide (PE), vincristine/adriamycin/cyclophosphamide (VAC) and taxel/carboplatin (TP) can markedly improve the prognosis of early SCCC patients.展开更多
