Consequently, landform-building processing: weathering, eroding and collapsing etc. were prevalent as finally to develop the so-called Danxia landform. The Jianglang Mountain landscape zone of the Danxia landform to apply for world natural relics are relying on unique and unparalleled peak, sky-split valley with vivid stones and reviving of platform. Although the deaths of neonates have reduced world over up to 3.6 million counts, Chilenje General Hospital continues to register significant numbers of neonatal sepsis. This study aimed at investigating the factors associated with neonatal sepsis at Chilenje General Hospital in Lusaka, Zambia. Methods: An institution based cross-sectional study design was conducted at Chilenje General Hospital. Data were collected by the use of a researcher designed questionnaire and analysed using SPSS version 25. Frequencies were used for descriptive analysis while bivariate analysis was used to establish association among risk factors and outcome variables. Variables with significant association at 5% level were further subjected to multivariate analysis at α ≤ 0.05. Results: The study showed that out of 156 neonates, 40.4% (63/156) developed neonatal sepsis. Maternal factors that projected the incidence of sepsis amongst neonates were distance to nearest health facility [AOR: 6.3 (95% CI: 1.8 - 21.3), p = 0.003], occupation [AOR: 5.8 (95% CI: 1.2 - 27.6), p = 0.026], number of antenatal visits [AOR: 6.3 (95% CI: 1.9 - 21.6), p = 0.003], number of vaginal examinations [AOR: 10.8 (95% CI: 2.8 - 42), p = 0.001], and pregnancy induced hypertension [AOR: 5.4 (95% CI: 1.4 - 20), p = 0.013]. Neonatal risk factor which projected the incidence of sepsis was Neonate’s age [AOR: 18.8 (95% CI: 4.9 - 72.5), p = 0.000]. Conclusions: The chance of developing neonatal sepsis was strongly correlated with both mother and child variables, according to the study. In order to lower the chance of the neonate acquiring sepsis, encouraging maternal antenatal care use would assist to detect risk factors during prenatal, perinatal and postnatal care and apply the proper therapies.展开更多

This study aimed to determine attitudes and practices contributing to vaginal stenosis following brachytherapy at the Cancer Diseases Hospital in Lusaka—Zambia. Methods: An analytical cross-sectional study design was employed, where 163 respondents were randomly selected after meeting inclusion criteria. A researcher-administered questionnaire was used to collect data and SPSS version 25 was used for data analysis. Results: Out of the 163 women enrolled in this study, 42.3% had developed vaginal stenosis while 57.7% did not with age range 15 - 60+ years. 76% exhibited good practices to measures against vaginal stenosis while majority (93.9%) of the respondents demonstrated poor attitudes towards measures to prevent the condition. Women with poor practices versus good practices (OR = 1.07, CI = 0.52 - 2.21, p = 0.855), poor attitudes versus good attitudes (aOR = 1.28, CI = 0.29 - 5.71, p = 0.746) and those employed versus unemployed (aOR = 1.76, CI = 0.73 - 4.27, p = 0.210) had increased odds of vaginal stenosis. However, these increasing effects were not significant at 5% level of significance. Although length of brachytherapy showed no significant effect independently, the odds of having vaginal stenosis were over 2 times higher for women who had been on brachytherapy between 6 and 12 months compared to those on brachytherapy for less than 6 months (OR = 2.45, CI = 1.03 - 5.82, p = 0.042). Conclusions: Failure to practice recommended measures and poor attitudes towards therapy contributes to vaginal stenosis. Efforts should be channeled towards overcoming religious, traditional, cultural and personal impediments contributing to vaginal stenosis in women with cervical cancer receiving brachytherapy.展开更多

However, the sheer quantity of data generated by the events as well as the data collection restrictions that researchers encounter, leads to a series of challenges for researchers who want to analyze dynamic public discourse and opinion in response to and in the creation of world events. In this paper we present gatherTweet, a Python package that helps researchers efficiently collect social media data for events that are composed of many decentralized actions (across both space and time). The package is useful for studies that require analysis of the organizational or baseline messaging before an action, the action itself, and the effects of the action on subsequent public discourse. By capturing these aspects of world events gatherTweet enables the study of events and actions like protests, natural disasters, and elections.展开更多

Pelvic floor pressure, PG, ACTH, CRP, IL-6, TNF-α and IL-4, IL-10 levels were evaluated and compared. The perinatal occurrence of pelvic floor functional disease (PFD) in high-risk pregnant women in each group was analyzed and evaluated. Results: There were statistical differences in the amount of postpartum blood loss (P 0.0001, F = 99.01), postpartum blood loss 24 h (P = 0.0004, F = 19.54) and hospital stay (P 0.0001, F = 70.81) among the three groups of high-risk women in natural vaginal delivery, forceps delivery and cesarean section. In addition, there were 72, 134 and 70 cases of abnormal pelvic floor fatigue in natural vaginal delivery, forceps assisted delivery and cesarean section (P 0.0001, χ2 = 30.16). There were 36, 79 and 21 cases of muscle injury, respectively (P 0.0001, χ2 = 34.16). There were 49, 98 and 43 cases of dysmuscular contraction, respectively (P 0.0001, χ2 = 21.94). There were 65, 120 and 41 cases with vaginal dynamic pressure 80 cm H2O (P 0.0001, χ2 = 56.86), respectively. The.
文摘Background:Health financing is a major challenge in low-and middle-income counties(LMICs)for achieving Universal Health Coverage(UHC).Past studies have argued that the budgetary allocation on health financing depends on macrofiscal policies of an economy such as sustained economic growth and higher revenue mobilization. While the global financial crisis of late 2008 observed a shortage of financial resources in richer countries and adversely affected the health sector. Therefore, this study has examined the impact of macro-fiscal policies on health financing by adopting socioeconomic factors in 85 LMICs for the period 2000 to 2013.Methods:The study has employed the panel System Generalized Method of Moment model that captures the endogeneity problem in the regression estimation by adopting appropriate instrumental variables. Results:The elasticity of public health expenditure(PHE)with respect to macro-fiscal factors varies across LMICs.Tax revenue shows a positive and statistically significant relationship with PHE in full sample,pre-global financial crisis,middle-income,and coefficient value varies from 0.040 to 0.141%.Fiscal deficit and debt services payment shows a negative effect on PHE in full sample,as well as sub-samples and coefficient value, varies from 0.001 to 0.032%.Aging and per capita income show an expected positive relationship with PHE in LIMI countries. Conclusions:Favorable macro-fiscal policies would necessarily raise finance for the health sector development but the prioritization of health budget allocation during the crisis period depends on the nature of tax revenue mobilization and demand for health services. Therefore, the generation of health-specific revenues and effective usage of health budget would probably accelerate the progress towards the achievement of UHC.
文摘Era of COVID-19 resulted in contactless transactions and extensive use of technological applications.Similar was the case of Fin-Tech which has extensively been used by consumers all around the globe for making transactions and other financial and economic needs.Although there is a lack of research to reflect these forms of evidence from the developing as well as Indian sides of the globe. On the other side, some studies indicated the Unified Household Acceptance and Use of Technology(UTAUT)model as the base to prefer mobile methods of transaction and Fin-Tech use.Hence this paper has been developed systematically to relate the financial literacy of household females from Generation Y with the use of Fin-Tech during the eve of COVID-19.For devising this relationship research has been induced with the UTAUT model and data have been collected from married household females between twenty-four to thirty-five years of age. Results were analyzed through SMART-PLS which highlighted the financial literacy of Indian household females has a significant association with UTAUT model. However, the entire UTAUT model does not have a significant relationship with the use of Fin-Tech.
文摘In 2020,the sudden new crown(COVID-19)virus swept the world.Countries have adopted different epidemic prevention measures. The COVID-19 has brought an extraordinary impact on the economic and social health of all countries.Australia, located in the southern hemisphere, promptly adopted the closure and other epidemic prevention policies in late January. The whole people mobilized to actively fight against the epidemic.Compared with the passive immunization of developed countries such as the United Kingdom and the United States,it has experienced several twists and turns and achieved relatively successful results. However, the epidemic has profoundly affected public health and medical care. They are mainly manifested in mental and psychological, hand hygiene, respiratory diseases, surgical spectrum, cancer screening, and changes in national leadership’s response methods and medical insurance policies.Australia’s early physical distancing measures, relatively high per capita testing rates, political stability, national wealth and geographic isolation are among the explanatory factors. The country’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic has, thus far, been among the most successful in the world.
文摘Background: Neonatal sepsis is known to result in 26% of mortalities in children below the age of five worldwide, countries in Sub-Saharan African recording the highest deaths. In order to lower the chance of the neonate acquiring sepsis, encouraging maternal antenatal care use would assist to detect risk factors during prenatal, perinatal and postnatal care and apply the proper therapies.

文摘Under the influence of concentrated and extended urbanization,Andean cities and the different altitudinal zones of their“hinterlands”are experiencing profound changes in land cover—from the central plazas up to the highest peaks. The complex regional-geographic characteristics of these socioecological systems, such as the vertical complementarity of land use, require a montological perspective on verticality and urbanization:it transcends disciplinary approaches and can be crucial to properly interpret the trajectories of land cover change and formulate hypotheses for future practiceoriented research.Which trajectories of land cover change characterized altitudinal zones of Andean cities and their surroundings over the last three decades? Are there similarities that allow for the formulation of more general hypotheses?Using the Peruvian cases of Cusco and Huaraz, and combining a traditional altitudinal zonation model of land use in Peru with direct field observations and GIS-based analyses of remotely sensed data from 1991,2001,2011,and 2021,this study identifies the main trajectories of land cover change in the Quechua(>2300–3500 m),Suni(>3500–4000 m),and Puna(>4000–4800 m)regions—and finds insightful similarities between Cusco and Huaraz:(1)an impressive area of built-up land substitutes grassland in the Quechua, which, following regional altitudinal zonation models,is characterized by irrigated and rain-fed cropland;(2)an unexpected expansion of irrigated cropland takes place in the Suni, which,in theory, often lacks irrigation infrastructure and is mostly used for rain-fed tuber cultivation;and(3)a clear change from“other land”to grassland occurs in the Puna—where grassland is thought to predominate, anyway, since pre-Hispanic times.Hypothesizing that these changes reflect the interplay between speculative fallow, agricultural intensification, and ecological restoration, the results can be read as vertically complementary, local manifestations of concentrated and extended urbanization in a formerly peripheral mountain region of the Global South—and they underscore the need to overcome mental city-mountain dichotomies for a socially inclusive and ecologically balanced Andean development between plaza and peak.

文摘Human object interaction(HOI)recognition plays an important role in the designing of surveillance and monitoring systems for healthcare, sports, education, and public areas. It involves localizing the human and object targets and then identifying the interactions between them. However,it is a challenging task that highly depends on the extraction of robust and distinctive features from the targets and the use of fast and efficient classifiers.Hence, the proposed system offers an automated body-parts-based solution for HOI recognition. This system uses RGB(red, green, blue)images as input and segments the desired parts of the images through a segmentation technique based on the watershed algorithm.Furthermore,a convex hullbased approach for extracting key body parts has also been introduced. After identifying the key body parts, two types of features are extracted. Moreover, the entire feature vector is reduced using a dimensionality reduction technique called t-SNE(t-distributed stochastic neighbor embedding). Finally,a multinomial logistic regression classifier is utilized for identifying class labels.A large publicly available dataset,MPII(Max Planck Institute Informatics)Human Pose, has been used for system evaluation. The results prove the validity of the proposed system as it achieved 87.5%class recognition accuracy.
文摘Background/Objectives:Many economies are on the trajectory of alternative growth drivers other than conventional capital and labor.Access to credit facilities is a pertinent indicator of economic growth. In line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals(UNSDGs-8)agenda,the national goal for sustainable development for most economies and Arab economies is no exception. Therefore, the current study adopts a traditional growth model by exploring the relationship between gross domestic product(GDP)per capita, credit for private sectors, ratio of exports, real GDP,and per labor force participants for selected Arab economies annually from 2001 to 2020.Research design:This study leverages the Fourier Kwiatkowski–Phillips–Schmidt–Shin(KPSS)unit root test and second-generation panel econometrics as estimation techniques, such as Westerlund and Edgerton panel cointegration test, and the use of two estimators, namely the augmented mean group(AMG)and common correlated error mean group(CCEMG),to obtain robust results.Findings:Empirical findings from Westerlund and Edgerton panel cointegration tests validate the long-run equilibrium relationship among the outlined variables.Further empirical results indicate that the share of exports is negatively significant with economic growth in countries such as Kuwait,Lebanon,Tunisia, and Jordan.Additionally, savings and labor force participation have a positive relationship with economic growth in individual countries such as Algeria and Bahrain. As per the panel, there is no significant relationship between labor force participation and economic growth. This indicates that the skilled labor force enhanced economic growth. Conclusions:These findings come with inherent far-reaching policy suggestions for economies and panels.Further details on country-specific policy actions are presented in the concluding section.
文摘Background: Vaginal stenosis is an important adverse effect of brachytherapy for cervicalcancer. Efforts should be channeled towards overcoming religious, traditional, cultural and personal impediments contributing to vaginal stenosis in women with cervical cancer receiving brachytherapy.
文摘Social media plays a crucial role in the organization of massive social movements. By capturing these aspects of world events gatherTweet enables the study of events and actions like protests, natural disasters, and elections.

文摘Relationship science has proliferated in the last few years. However, most of these studies have remained focused on western culture. An important reason for the lack of relationship studies in the non-western,particularly Indian context,is the lack of culturally validated scales. The present study was aimed at assessing the psychometric properties of the relationship structure(ECR-RS)scale.ECR-RS is a nine-item questionnaire used to measure attachment patterns for different relationships. It has been translated and modified in multiple languages. The study(N=223,undergraduate students,32.7%females)evaluated the Hindi version of ECR-RS scale’s psychometric properties for mother, father, close friend, and global attachment. The confirmatory factor analysis supports the presence of the two-factor model as originally theorized in ECR-RS.The findings support the reliability and validity of Hindi ECR-RS.The study contributes methodologically by providing an instrument of attachment styles, which could be a valuable resource for practitioners and researchers in the Indian context.
