Association between Two Polymorphisms of Follicle Stimulating Hormone Receptor Gene and Susceptibility to Polycystic Ovary Syndrome: a Meta-analysis

Objective To investigate the association between two polymorphisms of follicle stimulating hormone receptor （FSHR） gene and polycystic ovary syndrome （PCOS） susceptibility. Methods Case-control studies on relationship of Thr307Ala and Asn680Ser polymorphisms in FSHR gene and PCOS susceptibility were searched from PubMed, ISI web of knowledge, EBSCO, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure （CNKI） databases up to March 21, 2013. The pooled odds ratio （OR） and 95% confidence interval （CO were calculated using fixed- or random-effect model based on heterogeneity test in 5 genotype models analyses. Results A total of 11 studies were included in the Meta-analysis. The random-effect analysis showed Asn680Ser was significantly associated with the reduced susceptibility to PCOS with dominant model （Asn/Asn＋Asn/Ser vs. Ser/Ser, OR=0.83, 95% CI： 0.69-1.00）, recessive model （Asn/Asn vs. Asn/Ser＋ Ser/Ser, OR=0.84, 95% CI： 0.72-0.98）, homozygote comparison （Ash/Ash vs. Ser/Ser, 0R=0.79, 95% CI： 0.63-0.98）, and the allele contrast （Asn vs. Ser, OR=0.87, 95% CI： 0.79-0.97） respectively（P=0.02, I2=56.0%）, being protective factors for PCOS. However, no significant associations were found between Thr307Ala and PCOS. Conclusion There might be a significant association between Asn680Ser polymorphism and PCOS.

College Students’Cognition of Internet Accidental Injury Insurance:A Case Study of Guangdong Province

To explore college students'understanding and satisfaction of internet accidental injury insurance,and to analyse the factors influencing college students'awareness and satisfaction of internet accidental injury insurance.836 college students in Guangdong Province were selected by stratified random sampling.They were investigated with the self-designed questionnaire"College Students'Cognition of Internet Accidental Injury Insurance(CSCIAII)".29.67%,52.18%,10.13%and 8.02%of the college students didn't know,knew a little,knew relatively well and knew very well about internet accidental injury insurance,respectively.The percentage of college students who were very satisfied with the internet accidental injury insurance,thought the internet accidental injury insurance basically met their own needs,think it was acceptable but needed to be improved,did not agree with and were not satisfied with it at all were 9.55%,16.82%,47.73%,11.82%and 14.09%,respectively.College Students’awareness of insurance is weak,and they do not pay enough attention to accidental injury insurance.The design,publicity and sale strategies of internet insurance products may be important factors affecting college students'understanding and satisfaction with internet accidental injury insurance.

The Role of Attorney’s Request as a Communication Instrument in Advocacy

Background:The analysis of communication tools used in advocacy is currently a topical research problem in the context of dynamic information communication in the sociopolitical space.Aims and Objectives:The aim of the study was to analyze the attorney’s request as a means of obtaining information by attorneys to carry out their professional activity.Materials and Methods:The research was conducted with the help of numerous methods,the method of expert interviews being the leading one.It was used to single out the procedural characteristics and prospects of the attorney’s request in presentday Ukraine.Results:Attention is drawn to a number of issues that complicate the process of submitting attorney’s request and a proper use of this mechanism and procedure by an attorney.The ratification of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement opens up new prospects not only for Ukrainian and European producers but also provides for interesting objectives for attorneys to consult the private sector in the process of building new markets.Conclusion:In this article,it was suggested to compare and analyze the issue of the attorney’s request in Ukrainian and Polish legal framework.As a result of the research,problems were identified,and proposals were made for a simplified procedure for submitting an attorney’s request as a communication instrument in advocacy.
