Per- turbation solutions have been evaluated for velocity, resistance impedance, wall shear stress and shearing stress at the stenosis throat. The graphical results of different type of tapered arteries (i.e. converging tapering, diverging tapering, non-tapered artery) have been examined for different parameters of interest.展开更多

The flow is taken to be unsteady and incompressible. The observations are made under the limitations of low Reynolds number and long wavelength which helps in reducing the governing equations. The walls of the channel are supposed to be compliant. The obtained equations are nonlinear partial differential equation of second order and have been solved analytically by using series solution technique. The achieved results are then portrayed graphically to see the variation of various emerging parame- ters on the profile of velocity. The stream functions have also been sketched in order to discuss the trapping behavior of the circular bolus.展开更多

Hall effects, viscous dissipation and Joule heating are also taken into consideration. Mathematical model is presented by using the long wavelength and low Reynolds number approximations. The differential equations governing the flow are highly nonlinear and thus perturbation solution for small Weissenberg number (0 〈 We 〈 1) is presented. Effects of the heat and mass transfer Biot numbers and Hall parameter on the longitudinal velocity, temperature, concentration and pumping characteristics are studied in detail. Main observations are presented in the concluding section, The streamlines pattern and trapping are also given due attention.展开更多

An incompressible fluid is conducting in the pres- ence of inclined magnetic field. Problem formulation is developed through heat and mass transfer aspects. Soret and Dufour effects are present. Long wavelength and low Reynolds number approaches are adopted. Closed form expression for longitudinal velocity, pres- sure gradient, temperature and concentration are presented. Important results reflecting the influence of embedded parameters in the problems have been pointed out. Pumping and trapping phenomena are especially focused.展开更多

Different wave amplitudes and phases ensure asymme- try in the channel flow configuration. Simultaneous effects of heat and mass transfer are also considered. Viscous dissipation effect is present. The flow and heat transfer are investigated under long wavelength and low Reynolds number assumption. The expres- sions for stream function, axial velocity, temperature and concentration are obtained. The solution expressions for physical quantities are sketched and discussed.
