Fragipan Horizon Changes Using Annual Ryegrass and Other Admendments

A greenhouse experiment was conducted involving intact fragipan soil cores of 50 cm thickness after removing the topsoil horizons. The cores were maintained in moist condition throughout the experiment and received several treatments with various amendments for different periods ranging from 9 to 17 months. The amendments included annual ryegrass or Festulolium residues, powder limestone and various humate compounds alone or in combination with the grass residues. The results suggested a significant effect of ryegrass and Festulolium in reducing penetration resistance into the top 10 cm of the fragipan within 9 - 17 months, particularly when used in combination with certain humate materials such as Leonardite. Apparently, this is the result of the release of certain soluble organic compounds from the plant residues or the humate amendments that increase the solubility of Si and Al associated with the fragipan brittleness, thus decreasing the density of the compacted fragipan material. 展开更多

西南“旱三熟”地区不同保护性耕作措施对农田土壤生态效应及生产效益的影响 被引量:24

针对我国西南地区旱作农田土层浅薄、水土流失严重、季节性干旱多发等问题,以常规平作(T)、垄作(R)、平作+秸秆覆盖(TS)、垄作+秸秆覆盖(RS)、平作+秸秆覆盖+腐熟剂(TSD)、垄作+秸秆覆盖+腐熟剂(RSD)6种措施作为处理... 针对我国西南地区旱作农田土层浅薄、水土流失严重、季节性干旱多发等问题,以常规平作(T)、垄作(R)、平作+秸秆覆盖(TS)、垄作+秸秆覆盖(RS)、平作+秸秆覆盖+腐熟剂(TSD)、垄作+秸秆覆盖+腐熟剂(RSD)6种措施作为处理,连续2年进行大田对比试验,研究不同保护性耕作措施对西南"旱三熟"种植区农田土壤生态要素、产量和水分利用效率的影响。结果表明,保护性耕作措施可以有效地改善土壤有机质和养分状况,且对酸性土壤有一定的改良作用,其中有秸秆覆盖的4个处理显著增加了土壤有机质、全氮、全钾、碱解氮含量;可改善土壤水分状况,增强作物的抗旱节水能力,各处理0~80 cm土层2年平均贮水量排序为:RSD(258.82 mm)〉TSD(252.40 mm)〉RS(250.19mm)〉TS(246.66 mm)〉R(239.19 mm)〉T(235.87 mm);可降低7月份表层土壤温度,缓解夏季高温对玉米后期生长发育造成的伤害,其中有秸秆覆盖的4个处理对5 cm和10 cm土层温度有显著降低效应;可抑制杂草生长,具有良好的控草效应,其中TS、RS、TSD、RSD处理的杂草高度、密度和生物量均比T和R有极显著下降;可促进蚯蚓的繁殖和生长,使农田生态环境得到明显改善。总体来看,秸秆覆盖措施可以改善土壤肥力,并具有增加土壤贮水、调节土壤温度、控制农田杂草和促进蚯蚓生长的作用,垄作和腐熟剂在增加土壤贮水方面有明显效果。保护性耕作模式显著提高了作物的产量和水分利用效率,增加了经济收益。2年系统平均产量和水分利用效率排序为:RSD〉RS〉TSD〉TS〉R〉T(CK),总产值和纯收入排序为RS〉RSD〉TSD〉R〉TS〉T(CK)。在各处理中以RSD、RS两种模式的综合效果最好,在西南"旱三熟"种植区具有很好的推广前景。 展开更多

【目的】研究不同水分条件下秸秆生物炭对高粱生长、养分含量以及土壤理化性质和养分含量的影响,以探明秸秆生物炭对高粱生长的作用效果。【方法】以高粱"晋杂34号"为供试作物,石灰性褐土为供试土壤进行盆栽试验。试验设3个... 【目的】研究不同水分条件下秸秆生物炭对高粱生长、养分含量以及土壤理化性质和养分含量的影响,以探明秸秆生物炭对高粱生长的作用效果。【方法】以高粱"晋杂34号"为供试作物,石灰性褐土为供试土壤进行盆栽试验。试验设3个水分处理,分别为正常供水,田间持水量的85%(W1);轻度胁迫,田间持水量的65%(W2);重度胁迫,田间持水量的45%(W3)。设5个秸秆生物炭添加量,分别占土壤干重的0、0.5%、1%、3%和6%。高粱出苗后70天调查株高,采集地上部(茎和叶),测定生物量、N、P、K、Ca、Mg、Fe、Mn、Cu和Zn的含量,同时采集土样测定pH值、EC、有机质、全氮、有效磷、速效钾、交换性Ca和Mg、有效Fe、Mn、Cu和Zn的含量。【结果】干旱胁迫显著降低了高粱生物量和株高;施用0.5%秸秆生物炭显著增加了重度干旱胁迫条件下高粱生物量,但是当施用量>1%时不同水分条件下高粱生物量和株高均显著降低。干旱胁迫降低了高粱P含量,增加了K、Ca、Mn和Zn的含量;秸秆生物炭提高了高粱K和Zn含量,降低了N、P和Mg的含量;随着水分含量的减少,作物收获后土壤有效Mn和有效Zn含量降低;添加生物炭显著提高了土壤速效K和有效Zn的含量,但是当施用量大于1%时,土壤交换性Mg、有效Fe和有效Mn的含量显著降低。【结论】供试条件下,施用0.5%秸秆生物炭能够提高高粱钾和锌的含量,促进干旱胁迫条件下(45%田间持水量)高粱的生长,但过量施用(>1%)会对高粱生长产生抑制作用。 展开更多

The analysis of cytosine methylation provides a new way to assess and describe epigenetic regulation at a whole-genome level in many eukaryotes.DNA methylation has a demonstrated role in the genome stability and protection,regulation of gene expression and many other aspects of genome function and maintenance.BS-seq is a relatively unbiased method for profiling the DNA methylation,with a resolution capable of measuring methylation at individual cytosines.Here we describe,as an example,a workflow to handle DNA methylation analysis,from BS-seq library preparation to the data visualization.We describe some applications for the analysis and interpretation of these data.Our laboratory provides public access to plant DNA methylation data via visualization tools available at our "Next-Gen Sequence" websites(http://mpss.udel.edu),along with small RNA,RNA-seq and other data types. 展开更多
