The chemical structure of an exopolysaccharide (EPS) produced by Sorangium cellulosum NUST06 was investigated. The EPS was found to have molecular masses greater than 2?106 Da, and consisted of D-glucose, D-mannose and D-glucuronic acid in a ratio of 5:4:1.
