We propose the front-face detection from four captured images related to the intelligent room for the deaf. Our proposal purpose is that a deaf user faces wall displaying everywhere. system gets the images from four cameras, and detects the user region from a silhouette image using a different method, detects and cuts a motion body region from a different image, and cuts the vertexchest region from the cut body region image. The system attempts to find front-face using Haar-like feature, and selects a detected front-face image from the vertex-chest region. We estimate the front-face detection of recognition rate, which shows somewhat successfully.展开更多
Dynamic time warping(DTW)spends most of the time in generating the correlation table,and it establishes the global path constraints to reduce the time complexity.However,the global constraints restrain just in terms o...Dynamic time warping(DTW)spends most of the time in generating the correlation table,and it establishes the global path constraints to reduce the time complexity.However,the global constraints restrain just in terms of the time axis.In this paper,we therefore propose another version of DTW,to be called branch-and-bound DTW(BnB-DTW),which adaptively controb its global path constraints by reflecting the contents of input patterns. Experimental results show that the suggested BnB-DTW algorithm performs more efficiently than other conventional DTW approaches while not increasing the optimal warping cost.展开更多

However people who meet a robot in the first time gen- erally get heterogeneous feeling. To resolve this, we suggest an inter- active game with robots to increase the friendliness. The game, called "Divi-Divi-Dip" with 3 different body poses, is first introduced in a Korean TV prgrmn. The robot is using the visionary technology to recognize the pose with camera for the interactive game.展开更多
