A complete model of switch-mode plasma cutting power supply and its simulation are developed. The full bridge isolated pulse width modulation (PWM) buck converter in continuous conduction mode (CCM) for high watt plasma power supply is approached. Reduced ripple current and improved power factor are achieved in the plasma power supply. With a PID control strategy, circuit responses become more stable and faster with low overshoot during load and current changing. The converter achieved high efficiency under 3 to 15kW load conditions. 展开更多

To reduce the time of getting an ideal elliptical heat used in power station through repairing and testing a die repeatedly according to experience,finite element software Deform-3D was used to research the simulation of deformation-heat transfer coupling in hot forming process of elliptical head with the size of Φ1200 mm ×100 mm. The variations of stress,stain,temperature,thickness and strain rate in forming process were gotten,and the forming quality was evaluated from roundness,thinning rate and thermal contraction. The results show that the maximum thinning rate of the elliptical head is 7. 31% ,it is close to the orthographic place; and the inner diam- eter obtained from simulation is 1200. 6 - 1202. 977 mm,it is in the range of inner diameter tolerance required; all the data fit well with the practical dimension data of processing head. 展开更多

To simulate the DIWA353 steel used in boiler nearby recrystallization temperature accurately by using finite element,the high temperature constitutive model of this material must be researched firstly.Thermal simulation experimental machine is used to do the high temperature hot compression experiments for the DIWA353 steel used in boiler under different strain rates and temperatures nearby recrystallization temperature.Multi-bank data of true stress-true strain is gotten,and the hot deformation activation energy of DIWA353 is obtained,and the constitutive equation of steady-state flow stress under the circumstance of high temperature is constructed.The results show that DIWA353 steel is positive strain rate sensitized material when it is at temperature of 850-1050 ℃,and the steady-state flow stress decreases with the increase of deformation temperature,but increases with the increase of strain rate. 展开更多

This paper proposes a novel implementation strategy for soft switching PFC whose circuit is simple and can achieve low voltage output directly. The main circuit adopts current mode full-bridge converter and all the power switches can realize ZCS or ZVS in the way of phase-shifted control, using the leakage inductance of the transformer, the junction capacitor of the switches and the stored energy of the output capacitor. The problems such as the function of phase-shifted link in control circuit, the implementation conditions of soft switching and bias restrained are analyzed. The adoption of constant frequency PWM control makes the design of the input and output filter link and the high frequency transformer simple. The transformation ratio regulation so as to achieve low voltage output and electrical insulation can be realized by using high frequency transformer. 展开更多

In this paper,a new rotor position detecting method for the sensorless control of brushless DC motor ( BLDCM) is introduced. It obtains the phase back EMF signal from the motor terminal voltage by properly choosing the PWM and sensing strategy directly and needn't the motor neutral point voltage information. The paper analyzes both the steady-state of PWM on the high side modulator mode which doesn't consider the parasitic capacitance Coes in the switches and the transient-state of PWM on the high side modulator mode which considers the parasitic capacitance Coes in the switches in detail. The experimental results verify that the proposed method is not sensitive to switching noise,no filtering is required,and good motor performance is achieved within a wide speed range. 展开更多

It was found that selecting and combination of the processing parameters were vital to the quality. In the experiments and numerical simulation with the software of DYNAFORM, the processing parameters have been studied.The results showed that the method of discontinuous pressure and pressure preservation advantage the forming; when temperature and pressure meet the forming conditions, the longer time of pressure preservation promotes sufficient forming. 展开更多

This paper analyzes the operation parameters of the time delay and integration (TDI) line scan CCD camera, such as resolution, line rate, clock frequency, etc. and their mathematical relationship is deduced. By analyzing and calculating these parameters, the working clocks of the TDI CCD line scan camera are designed, which guarantees the synchronization of the line scan rate and the camera movement speed. The IL-E2 TDI CCD of DALSA Co. is used as the sensor of the camera in the paper. The working clock generator used for the TDI CCD sensor is realized by using the programmable logic device (PLD). The experimental results show that the working clock generator circuit satisfies the requirement of high speed TDI CCD line scan camera. 展开更多

To provide convenience for the translation among specimens,orthogonal experimental method was used to research the relationship between geometrical dimensions(length,width and thickness) and total elongation of polycarbonate sheet,and simulations of tensile specimens with different geometrical dimensions had been conducted by the finite element method,then regression analysis method was used to create the relationship formula between geometrical dimensions and total elongation.It was found that:the shorter the length of specimen is,the better the plasticity is,and they had the power exponent relationship;the larger the width and thickness are,the better the plasticity is,and they had the direct proportion relationship with the total elongation. 展开更多

A novel approach for improving the spectral performance of sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) inverter is presented. By varying the carrier frequency according to chaotic time-sequence, the discrete spectrum of the output voltage is transformed into the continuous spectrum, which could reduce the acoustic noise concentrated at specific tones in an inverter-driven electric machine. Fourier analysis shows that the harmonic at the fixed frequency has been restrained effectively and the distribution of the spectrum is in a wider range. Besides, a novel variable is introduced for the evaluation of the output voltage spectrum in SPWM inverter. Simulations and experiments with DSP confirm the advantages of the novel approach. Experimental results show the annoying acoustic noise has been translated into some enjoyable sound like a fall or water flowing when this novel method is applied. 展开更多

Based on introducing the structure and the working principles, this paper resolves the electromagnetic thrusting force and performs mechanical analysis and experiments on the sample launcher. In order to design a high performance EMI filter, many issues need to be considered beforehand. Some important issues including accurate model of converter components, parasitic elements, its effect on EMI noise and impedance mismatch are included in this paper. A numerical prediction of EMI/EMC has the potential to evaluate EMI performances at the design stage and before prototyping. It can also help reduce the post-prototype EMC cost by minimizing late redesign and modifications of a design implementation. Saber simulator is used to analyze the EMI noises and EMI filter’s performance. Conducted EMI noise measurement and EMI filter design of isolated full bridge buck converter has been achieved while successfully satisfying the FCC class B limits in the frequency range from 150 kHz to 30 MHz. Simulation results are compared with experimental data and the effectiveness of the EMI simulation approach is demonstrated. 展开更多

This paper introduces the principle of the angular measuring system using amplitude discrimination mode. The dynamic errors are analyzed from the aspects of inductosyn, amplitude and function error of double-phase voltage and waveform distortion. Through detailed calculation, theory is provided for practical application; system errors are allocated and the angular measuring system meets the accuracy requirement. There has been a lot of research has been performed regarding diagnosing rolling element bearing faults using wavelet analysis, but almost all methods are not ideal for picking up fault signal characteristics under strong noise. Therefore, this paper proposes auto-correlation, cross-correlation and weighted average fault diagnosis methods based on wavelet transform (WT) de-noising which combine correlation analysis with WT for the first time. These three methods compute the auto-correlation, the cross-correlation and the weighted average of the measured vibration signals, then de-noise by thresholding and computing the auto-correlation of de-noised coefficients of WT and FFT of energy sequence. The simulation results indicate that all methods enhance the capabilities of fault diagnosis of rolling bearings and pick up the fault characteristics effectively. 展开更多

For high precision calibration of camera with large field-of-view,massive calibration points will be needed if traditional methods are selected,which makes the calibration complex and time-consuming.In order to solve this problem,a calibration method based on flexible planar target is proposed.In this method,distortion factor is firstly acquired by the invariance of cross ratio,and existing feature points are adjusted with the distortion factor.Then,a large number of points that will be used for the calibration are constructed with the adjusted feature points.Simultaneously,Tsai method is modified so as to reduce the complexity of calibration,which makes the process linear.The simulation and real experiments show that the method proposed in this paper is simple,linear,accurate and robust,and the precision of this method is close to that of Tsai method using abundant points.The method can satisfy the requirement of high precision calibration for camera with large field-of-view. 展开更多

An analytical expression is derived for the Hertz potential of a vertical electric dipole over the earth’s surface, in which the earth is assumed to be a layered media or homogeneous dissipative half-space. A Sommerfeld type integral in the potential function is expressed as the sum of two parts: a zeroth order Hankel function and an absolutely convergent series of Bessel functions. An electrostatic micromotor is compared with a conventional electromagnetic micromotor, and the scaling effect of driving forces is analysed according to their different operation principles. Characteristic dimension L represents the linear scale of micromotors. Electromagnetic driving force is proportional to high-order power of characteristic dimension L whereas electrostatic driving force is not. So, in micro domain, the effect of electrostatic force is larger than that of electromagnetic force, which makes electrostatic micromotor more competitive against electromagnetic alternative in MEMS. In assessing the performance of a micromotor, the power per unit volume and efficiency are the two most important criteria. Hence, the two kinds of micromotors are further compared from these two aspects. The results indicate that electrostatic a micromotor has higher power per unit volume and efficiency, moreover, its structure is simple, it can be made sufficiently small. For those advantages of electrostatic micromotors, they can be used in optical devices, aerospace equipment and medical instruments. 展开更多
