Multiple positive solutions for a class of nonlinear four-point boundary value problem with p-Laplacian

This paper deals with the existence of multiple positive solutions for a class of nonlinear singular four-point boundary value problem with p-Laplacian：{（φ（u′））′＋a（t）f（u（t））=0, 0〈t〈1, αφ（u（0））-βφ（u′（ξ））=0,γφ（u（1））＋δφ（u′（η））0,where φ（x） = ｜x｜^p-2x,p 〉 1, a（t） may be singular at t = 0 and/or t = 1. By applying Leggett-Williams fixed point theorem and Schauder fixed point theorem, the sufficient conditions for the existence of multiple （at least three） positive solutions to the above four-point boundary value problem are provided. An example to illustrate the importance of the results obtained is also given.

This paper is concerned with the boundary value problem of a nonlinear fractional differential equation. By means of Schauder fixed-point theorem, an existence result of solution is obtained.

GENERALIZED FUZZY FILTERS OF BL-ALGEBRAS

The concept of quasi-coincidence of a fuzzy interval value with an interval valued fuzzy set is considered. In fact, this is a generalization of quasi-coincidence of a fuzzy point with a fuzzy set. By using this new idea, the notion of interval valued （∈,∈ ∨q）-fuzzy filters in BL-algebras which is a generalization of fuzzy filters of BL-algebras, is defined, and related properties are investigated. In particular, the concept of a fuzzy subgroup with thresholds is extended to the concept of an interval valued fuzzy filter with thresholds in BL-algebras.

S. Y. Cheng and S. T. Yau showed in [CY] that any C2 bounded pseudoconvex domain in C?has a complete Einstein-Kahler metric with constant negative Ricci curvature. N. Mok and S. T. Yau[MY] have extended this result to arbitrary bounded pseudoconvex domain in Cn. Complete Einstein-Kahler metric with Explicit form, however, is only known in the case of homogeneous domain.

Spectrum of a class of fourth order left-definite differential operators

The spectrum of a class of fourth order left-definite differential operators is studied. STRONG CONVERGENCE OF APPROXIMATED SEQUENCES FOR NONEXPANSIVE MAPPINGS IN BANACH SPACES

This paper studies the convergence of the sequence defined by x0 ∈ C, xn＋l =αnu＋（1-αn）Txn, n=0, 1,2,..., where 0 ≤αn ≤ 1, limn→∞ αn = 0, ∑n=0^∞ αn = ∞, and T is a nonexpansive mapping from a nonempty closed convex subset C of a Banach space X into itself. The iterative sequence {xn} converges strongly to a fixed point of T in the case when X is a uniformly convex Banach space with a uniformly Gateaux differentiable norm or a uniformly smooth Banach space only. The results presented in this paper extend and improve some recent results.

The following equations are basic forms of C-K equation (which is simplified in the following as singu-lar integral equations with convolution, that is C-K equations):where a,b,a_j,b_j are known constants or known functions, and find its solution f L_P(R), {0} or {α,β}.There were rather complete investigations on the method of solution for equations of Cauchy type aswell as integral equations of convolution type. But there is not investigation to the C-K equations, nodoubt, such that is important.

STABILITY OF AN SEIS EPIDEMIC MODEL WITH CONSTANT RECRUITMENT AND A VARYING TOTAL POPULATION SIZE

This paper considers an SEIS epidemic model with infectious force in the latent period and a general population-size dependent contact rate. A threshold parameter R is identified. If R≤1, the disease-free equilibrium O is globally stable. If R〉1, there is a unique endemic equilibrium and O is unstable. For two important special cases of bilinear and standard incidence ,sufficient conditions for the global stability of this endemic equilibrium are given. The same qualitative results are obtained provided the threshold is more than unity for the corresponding SEIS model with no infectious force in the latent period. Some existing results are extended and improved.

Rate of strong consistency of the maximum quasi-likelihood estimator in quasi-likelihood nonlinear models

Quasi-likelihood nonlinear models （QLNM） include generalized linear models as a special case. Under some regularity conditions, the rate of the strong consistency of the maximum quasi-likelihood estimation （MQLE） is obtained in QLNM. In an important case, this rate is O（n-^1/2（loglogn）^1/2）, which is just the rate of LIL of partial sums for i.i.d variables, and thus cannot be improved anymore.

STATIONARY DISTRIBUTIONS OF INFINITE PARTICLE SYSTEMS WITH NONCOMPACT STATE SPACE.

This paper deals with the preblem of existence and uniqueness of the stationary distributions (abbr., s. d.'s) for the processes constructed in [4] .The main results are stated in § 1. For the reader's convenience we first restate the existence theorems (Theorem 1 and 2) of the processes given in [4]. Then two existence theorems (Theorem 3 and 4) and a uniqueness theorem (Theorem 5) for the s. d.'s of the processes are presented. The last result (Theorem 6), as an application of the previous ones, is about the Schlgl model which comes from nonequilibrium statisticali physics. The details of the proofs of Theorem 3—6 are given in § 2—4.

APPROXIMATE POWER OF HETEROSCEDASTICITY TEST IN NONLINEAR MODELS WITH ARIMA（0,1,0） ERRORS

This paper presents an approach for estimating power of the score test, based on an asymptotic approximation to the power of the score test under contiguous alternatives. The method is applied to the problem of power calculations for the score test of heteroscedasticity in European rabbit data （Ratkowsky, 1983）. Simulation studies are presented which indicate that the asymptotic approximation to the finite-sample situation is good over a wide range of parameter configurations.

WEAK TYPE（H^1 ,L^1） ESTIMATE FOR COMMUTATOR OF MARCINKIEWICZ INTEGRAL
