加权有理三次插值的逼近性质及其应用

利用带导数和不带导数的分母为线性的有理三次插值样条构造了一类加权有理三次插值函数.利用这种插值方法,将样条曲线严格约束于给定的折线之上、之下或之间的问题都可以得到解决.

SOME SHAPE-PRESERVING QUASI-INTERPOLANTS TO NON-UNIFORMLY DISTRIBUTED DATA BY MQ-B-SPLINES

Based on the definition of MQ-B-Splines,this article constructs five types of univariate quasi-interpolants to non-uniformly distributed data. The error estimates and the shape-preserving properties are shown in details.And examples are shown to demonstrate the capacity of the quasi-interpolants for curve representation.

PERSISTENCE AND PERIODIC ORBITS FOR TWO-SPECIES NON-AUTONOMOUS DIFFUSION LOTKA-VOLTERRA MODELS

A non-autonomous competing system is investigated in this paper,where the species x can diffuse between two patches of a heterogeneous environment with barriers between patches,but for species y,the diffusion does not involve a barrier between patches,further it is assumed that all the parameters are time dependent.It is shown that the system can be made persistent under some appropriate conditions.Moreover,sufficient conditions that guarantee the existence of a unique positive periodic orbit which is globally asymptotic stable are derived.

EVOLUTION COMPL EXITY OF THE ELEMENTARY CELLULAR AUTOMATON OF RUL E 2 2

Cellular automata are the discrete dynamical systems of simple construction but with complex and varied behaviors.In this paper,the elementary cellular automaton of rule 22 is studied by the tools of formal language theory and symbolic dynamics.Its temporal evolution orbits are coarse grained into evolution sequences and the evolution languages are defined.It is proved that for every n ≥2 its width n evolution language is not regular.

ON THE FRACTIONAL CALCULUS FUNCTIONS OF A FRACTAL FUNCTION

Based on the combination of fractional calculus with fractal functions, a new type of functions is introduced; the definition, graph, property and dimension of this function are discussed.

SOME NONLINEAR INEQUALITIES INVOLVING IMPROPER INTEGRALS AND THEIR DISCRETE ANALOGUES

Some new inequalities involving improper integrals are established in the paper which generalize the related results due to Pachpatte and Rodrigues.Discrete analogues of the integral inequalities obtained are also derived.An example is given to show that the bound in Theorem 1 is not improvable.

EMPIRICAL LIKELIHOOD FOR LINEAR MODELS UNDER m-DEPENDENT ERRORS

In this paper,the empirical likelihood confidence regions for the regression coefficient in a linear model are constructed under m-dependent errors.It is shown that the blockwise empirical likelihood is a good way to deal with dependent samples.

EXISTENCE OF GLOBAL SMOOTH SOLUTION TO INITIAL BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEM FOR A VISCOELASTIC MODEL WITH RELAXATION

This paper is concerned with the initial boundary value problem for a viscoelastic model with relaxation. Under the only assumption that the C^0-norm of the initial data is small, without smallness hypothesis for the C^1-norm, the existence of the global smooth solution to the corresponding initial boundary value problem is proved. The analysis is based on some a priori estimates obtained by the 'maximum principle' of first-order quasilinear hyperbolic system.

NOTE ON CALCULATING WIENER NUMBERS OF MOLECULAR GRAPHS WITH SYMMETRY

The authors provided a simple method for calculating Wiener numbers of molecular graphs with symmetry in 1997.This paper intends to further improve on it and simplifies the calculation of the Wiener numbers of the molecular graphs.

RUIN PROBLEM FOR A CLASS OF RISK PROCESSES PERTURBED BY DIFFUSION

In this paper,a class of risk processes perturbed by diffusion are considered. The Lundberg inequalities for the ruin probability are obtained.The size of the Lundberg exponents for different kinds of risk model is compared. The numerical illustration for the impact of the parameters on the ruin probability is given.

GLOBAL ASYMPTOTIC STABILITY FOR A NONLINEAR DELAY DIFFERENCE EQUATION

In this paper,a sufficient condition for the global asymptotic stability of the solutions of the following nonlinear delay difference equation is obtained, xn+ 1=xn+xn- 1xn- 2 +a xnxn- 1+xn- 2 +a, n =0 ,1 ,..., where a∈ [0 ,∞ ) and the initial values x- 2 ,x- 1,x0 ∈ (0 ,∞ ) .As a special case,a conjecture by Ladas is confirmed.

ON PARAMETRIC MARCINKIEWICZ INTEGRALS RELATED TO BLOCK SPACES

In this paper,the L2-boundedness of a class of parametric Marcinkiewicz integral μρ Ω,h with kernel function Ω in B 0,0 q(S n-1) for some q>1,and the radial function h(x)∈l∞(Ls)(R +) for 1<s≤∞ are given.The Lp(Rn)(2≤p<∞) boundedness of μ *,ρ Ω,h,λ and μ ρ Ω,h,S with Ω in B 0,0 q(S n-1) and h(|x|)∈l∞(Ls)(R +) in application are obtained.Here μ *,ρ Ω,h,λ and μ ρ Ω,h,S are parametric Marcinkiewicz integrals corresponding to the Littlewood-Paley g* λ function and the Lusin area function S,respectively.
