The in? uence of the surfactants on the stability of Gudong water-in-oil (W/O) and oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions was evaluated by separating water from the W/O emulsion and residual oil in the aqueous phase of the O/W emulsion respectively. The results showed that the two kinds of surfactants, namely anionic-nonionic composite surfactant and petroleum sulfonate, are both able to decrease the interfacial tension between the oil phase and the aqueous phase and increase the surface potential of the oil droplets dispersed in the O/W emulsion, which can enhance the stability of the W/O and O/W crude oil emulsions. Compared with petroleum sulfonate, the anionic-nonionic composite surfactant is more interfacially active and able to enhance the strength of the interfacial film between oil and water, hence enhance the stability of the W/O and O/W emulsions more effectively.展开更多

Experimental results indicate that the simulated water-in-oil emulsion with 40 mg/L of partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide (HPAM) 3530S could be easily broken by adding demulsifier C and was readily separated into two layers. However, HPAM AX-74H and hydrophobically associating water-soluble polymer (HAP) could stabilize the crude oil emulsion. With increasing concentration of AX-74H and HAP, crude oil emulsions became more stable. Water droplets were loosely packed in the water-in model oil emulsion containing HPAM 3530S, but water droplets were smaller and more closely packed in the emulsion containing AX-74H or HAP. The polymers could be adsorbed on the oil/water interface, thereby increasing the strength of the interracial film and enhancing the emulsion stability.展开更多

Laboratory analysis of reservoir oil shows that the minimum miscibility pressure for CO2 drive in Fang-48 fault block oil reservoir is 29 MPa, lower than the formation fracture pressure of 34 MPa, so the displacement mechanism is miscible drive. The threshold pressure gradient for gas injection is less than that for waterflooding, and the recovery by gas drive is higher than waterflooding. Furthermore, the threshold pressure gradient for carbon dioxide injection is smaller than that for hydrocarbon gas, and the oil recovery by carbon dioxide drive is higher than that by hydrocarbon gas displacement, so carbon dioxide drive is recommended for the development of the Fang-48 fault block oil reservoir.展开更多

The alkali added forms stable water-in-crude oil emulsion, hence de-emulsification process is necessary to separate oil and water. The problems in enhanced oil recovery with ASP flooding were investigated in laboratory by using fractions of Daqing crude oil. The oil was separated into aliphatics, aromatics, resin and asphaltene fractions. These fractions were then mixed with an additive-free jet fuel to form model oils. The interfacial properties, such as interfacial tension and interracial pressure of the systems were also measured, which together with the molecular parameters of the fractions were all used to investigate the problems in the enhanced oil recovery. In our work, it was found that sodium hydroxide solution reacts with the acidic hydrogen in the fractions of crude oil and forms soap-like interfacially active components, which accumulate at the crude oil-water interface.展开更多

A composite gel which is one of the materials for successful control of CO2 channeling during CO2 injection process was studied in this paper. SEM and nano particle size analysis were used to describe this material’s microstructure. Its effect on CO2 channeling control was evaluated with core flow experiments. Both the rheological test and core plugging experiments indicated that both acrylamide monomer concentration and reaction pressure had positive influences on gel properties. The gel system with an acrylamide monomer concentration of 2% and 5% sodium silicate was proved to have excellent strength, elastic and plugging efficiency, which confirmed huge development potential and wide application of the composite gel system. The high-pressure acid environment arising from the CO2 injection not only reacts with solid silicate to form silicic acid gel, but also facilitates efficient polymerization.展开更多

A long core holder with a multi-location piezometric measurement was specially designed. An artificial long core, about 700 mm long and with a cross section of 45mm×45mm, was used. In the experiment, pressure distribution along the core can be measured in real time. Single phase flow in the core was investigated. Different modes of production in long cores were also simulated including natural depletion, water flooding, and advanced water flooding. Through physical simulation, flow parameters were collected and production characteristics in extra-low permeability cores were studied. From experimental results, it can be seen that fluid flow in extra-low permeability cores is different from that in high permeability cores. Transmission of pressure in extra-low permeability cores is very slow, and it needs a long time for the pressure to become stable. The distribution curve of pressure along the core is nonlinear and the production rate in extra-low permeability reservoirs decreases sharply. The development effects of different production modes in extra-low permeability cores were compared with one another. Among the production modes, advanced water flooding has much potential for effective development of extra-low permeability reservoirs. Natural depletion and conventional water flooding can also be used in early production periods. In addition, the countermeasures and some ideas especially for the potential development of extra-low permeability reservoirs are suggested.展开更多

Sodium hydroxide was used as the strong alkali chemical to investigate the interracial tension (IFT) of oil/HABS system. The influences of salt and alkali on the interracial activity were studied by the measurement of interfacial tension and partition coefficient. Moreover, the al- kali/surfactant solutions were measured by dynamic laser scattering. The results showed that compared with the salt, the function of alkali to lower the interfacial tension and improve partition coefficient is more significant. The mi- celles formed by surfactants could be disaggregated because of adding alkali, so the size of micelles decreases and the number of mono-surfactants increases, then more surfactant molecules move to the interface of oil/surfactant system and the adsorption of surfactants at oil-water interfaces increases, which can lead to the decrease of IFT.展开更多

The high-pressure acid environment arising from the CO2 injection not only reacts with solid silicate to form silicic acid gel, but also facilitates efficient polymerization.
文摘The influence of swelling time, temperature, NaCl concentration and polymer micro-gel concentration on rheological properties of polymer micro-gel dispersions was studied by using a HAAKE rheometer. The results showed that with increasing swelling time and NaCl concentration, the polymer micro-gel dispersions changed from a shear-thickening fluid to a Newtonian fluid. The polymer micro-gel dispersion show shear-thinning in non-saline water. At higher swelling temperature, the time of the polymer micro-gel dispersion showing shear-thickening was shorter. With increasing polymer micro-gel concentration, the dispersion changed from shear-thickening to shear-thinning.

文摘For extra-low permeability reservoirs, with a permeability of about 0.3×10?3 μm2, fluid flow and production performance in cores were studied. In addition, the countermeasures and some ideas especially for the potential development of extra-low permeability reservoirs are suggested.

文摘The effect of sulfide on HPAM solution viscosity was studied using BROOKFIELD DV-II viscometer, and the interaction mechanism was discussed. The HPAM solution viscosity was investigated through fully reducing sulfide by the addition of hydrogen peroxide oxidation, and the mechanism of increasing polymer viscosity was investigated. The experimental results also show that there is a critical concentration of 15 mg/L.Below it,the loss rate of HPAM solution viscosity increases more rapidly, but becomes slowly above the critical concentration.A theoretical guidance for oilfields to prepare polymer solution using sewage-water by eliminating sulfide, and it is also importance to prepare polymer solution using sewage-water and save fresh water.

文摘The effect of temperature and metal ion components on the viscosity of HPAM solution was studied by means of orthogonal method.Five factors and 4 levels were considered for the orthogonal design. The five factors included temperature, contents of Na+,Mg2+,Ca2+ and S2-,and the four levels mainly considered the level of produced water components in main oilfields in China. The experiment results show that temperature is the most important factor to control HPAM solution viscosity prepared by produced water. The effect of ions was in order of Na+>S2->Mg2+>Ca2+.The mechanism of each factor influencing viscosity was also discussed.Based on the actual condition of Nanyang oilfield, the desulfurization was used to improve the solution viscosity, and satisfactory result was obtained.
文摘Experimental studies were conducted to explore the fundamental mechanisms of alkali to lower the interfacial tension of oil/heavy alkylbenzene sulfonates (HABS) system. The mi- celles formed by surfactants could be disaggregated because of adding alkali, so the size of micelles decreases and the number of mono-surfactants increases, then more surfactant molecules move to the interface of oil/surfactant system and the adsorption of surfactants at oil-water interfaces increases, which can lead to the decrease of IFT.

文摘The flow characteristics of deionized water in hydrophilic and hydrophobic microtubes with diameters of 14.9,5.03 and 2.05 μm are investigated experimentally. The results indicate that the flow characteristics of deionized water in microtubes with diameter of 14.9 μm are in agreement with the classical Hagen-Poiseuille(H-P) equation, but for hydrophilic and hydrophobic microtubes with smaller diameters, the results show significant departure from the prediction of conventional theory, and the discrepancies are influenced by wettability of the microtubes and increase as the Reynolds numbers decrease.Besides, flows of fluid in cores are the macroscopic reflection of flows in countless micron-sized pore throats, the influence of wettability on microscale flow in pore throats will cause the change of seepage characteristic in cores. Therefore, flow experiments of brine through cores with different wettabilities are conducted. The results demonstrate that wettability exerts similar influence on water flows in cores and microtubes.

文摘The flow characteristics of deionized water in microtubes with diameters ranging from 2 to 30 μm are investigated. The experimental results show that the flow characteristics in microtubes with diameters of 16 μm and larger ones are in agreement with the classical theory. However, as the diameters are de-creased to 5 and 2 μm, the nonlinear flow characteristics prevail and the results indicate significant departure of flow characteristics from the predictions of the conventional theory, and the smaller the diameters, the larger the departure. As the Reynolds number increases, the degree of nonlinear flow characteristics decrease gradually and the experimental results are approximately equal to the theo-retical expectation. The minimum Reynolds number in this study is only 2.46×10^(-5).
