Preparation and Characterization of Component Materials for Intermediate Temperature Solid Oxide Fuel Cell by Glycine-Nitrate Process 被引量:5

La1-xSrxGa1-yMgyO3-δ (LSGM) electrolyte, La1-xSrxCr1-yMnyO3-δ (LSCM) anode and La1-xSrxFe1-yMnyO3-δ (LSFM) cathode materials were all synthesized by glycine-nitrate process (GNP). The microstructure and characteris... La1-xSrxGa1-yMgyO3-δ (LSGM) electrolyte, La1-xSrxCr1-yMnyO3-δ (LSCM) anode and La1-xSrxFe1-yMnyO3-δ (LSFM) cathode materials were all synthesized by glycine-nitrate process (GNP). The microstructure and characteristics of LSGM, LSCM and LSFM were tested via X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microcopy (SEM), A C impedance and four-probe direct current techniques. XRD shows that pure perovskite phase LSGM electrolyte and electrode (LSCM anode and LSFM cathode) materials were prepared after being sintered at 1400 ℃ for 20 h and at 1000 ℃ for 5 h, respectively. The max conductivities of LSGM (ionic conductivity), LSCM (total conductivity) and LSFM (total conductivity) materials are 0.02, 10, 16 S·cm-1 in the air below 850 ℃, respectively. The conductivity of LSCM becomes smaller when the atmosphere changes from air to pure hydrogen at the same temperature and it decreases with the temperature like metal. The porous and LSGM-based LSCM anode and LSFM cathode films were prepared by screen printing method, and the sintering temperatures for them were 1300 and 1250 ℃, respectively. LSGM and electrode (LSCM and LSFM) materials have good thermal and chemical compatibility. 展开更多

La_ 1-xSr_xGa_ 1-yMg_yO_ 3-δ(LSGM)electrolyte material was synthesized by solid-state reaction method. The microstructure characteristics were tested via X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microcopy (SEM), and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). XRD patterns indicate that perovskite phase began to form when the mixed materials were sintered at 1000 ℃, and the material has a pure LSGM perovskite phase when the mixed materials were sintered at 1450 ℃ in air for 24 h. No chemical reaction between LSGM electrolyte material and La_ 1-xSr_xMn_ 1-yCr_yO_ 3-δ(LSMC) anode material or La_ 1-xSr_xFe_ 1-yCo_yO_ 3-δ (LSFC) cathode material was detected after the mixed materials consisting of LSGM and LSMC or LSFC was sintered at 1200 ℃ in air for 15 h respectively, which shows that LSGM electrolyte material has excellent chemical compatibility with LSMC anode and LSFC cathode materials. According to SEM, LSMC anode film and cathode composite film of LSFC and LSMC prepared using direct painting method by sintering at 1150 ℃ are both porous and well cohered on LSGM electrolyte substrate. 展开更多

A new method for production of solar grade silicon(SoG-Si) at low cost from metallurgical grade silicon(MG-Si) via vacuum metallurgical technique was proposed,which is a promising process to feedstock solar energy silicon material independence of traditional Siemens method. In this procedure,pre-treatment of MG-Si using hydrometallurgical routes to remove the metallic impurities such as iron and aluminum to reduce the production cost is an important process. The influences of acid agents,acid concentration,reaction time and temperature and particle size of raw material ground on the removal efficiency of iron and aluminum impurities were investigated,respectively. The results show that the optimum operation conditions for leaching in acid C are:acid concentration 6 mol/L,temperature 60 ℃,time 4 d,diameter for raw material 50 μm. The removal efficiencies of impurities iron and aluminum are up to 85% and 75%,respectively. 展开更多

Ni-W-P-CeO2-SiO2 nano-composite coatings were prepared on common carbon steel surface by pulse electrodeposition of nickel, tungsten, phosphorus, rare earth (nano-CeO2) and silicon carbide (nano-SiO2) particles. The effects of nano-CeO2 concentrations in electrolyte on microstructures and properties of nano-composite coatings were studied. The samples were characterized with chemical compositions, elements distributions, microhardness and microstructures. The results indicated that when nano-CeO2 concentration was controlled at 10 g/L, the nano-composite coatings possessed higher microhardness and compact microstructures with clear outline of spherical matrix metal crystallites, fine crystallite sizes and uniform distribution of elements W, P, Ce and Si within the Ni-W-P matrix metal. Increasing the nano-CeO2 particles concentrations from 4 to 10 g/L led to refinement in grain structure and improvement of microstructures, while when increased to 14 g/L, the crystallite sizes began to increase again and there were a lot of small boss with nodulation shape appearing on the nano-composite coatings surface. 展开更多

There are not environmental-unfriendly gases such as NOx, CO2 discharged in the whole combustion process. Combustion processes realizes zero emission through this technology. Fe2O3 is involved as oxygen carrier, is examined thermodynamically, and the thermodynamic data of the redox reactions are calculated. Using the criteria of minimizing the Gibbs free energy, the equilibrium composition was investigated. The equilibrium analysis shows that producing complete oxidized resultants must have high molar ratio of Fe2O3/CH4. If quantity of Fe2O3 is not sufficient, more partial oxidized products such as CO, H2, even C will be produced. 展开更多

Corrosion rate and anode polarization curves of electrodeposited RE-Ni-W-P-SiC-PTFE composite coating in various concentrations of phosphoric and ferric chloride were researched. The results show that corrosion rate of the composite coatings increases with the increasing concentrations of phosphoric and ferric chloride, and reaches the maximum value when phosphoric concentration is 40% and ferric chloride concentration is 20% (mass fraction, the same below if not mentioned). Anode polarization curves of the composite coatings show that anode polarization current density of the composite coatings heat-treated at 200 ℃ or 500 ℃ is lower than that of other coatings heat-treated at 300 ℃ or 400 ℃, which displays that the composite coatings heat-treated at 200 ℃ or 500 ℃ have better corrosion resistance. Besides, corrosion resistance of the composite coating heat-treated at 500 ℃ is better than that as deposited and RE-Ni-W-P-SiC composite coating heat-treated at 400 ℃, and is also better than that of 316L stainless steel. 展开更多

Inorganic antibacterial materials consist of the antibacterial ions, the additives and the carrier. In this study, we synthesized a new inorganic antibacterialmaterial, of which Cu2+ and Ag+ were selected to be the bi-component antibacterial ions, cerous nitrate served as the additives, and the white carbon black was chosen as the carrier, which was prepared by a sol-gel method. The as-synthesized antibacterial material was characterized by inductively coupled plasma, particle size measurement instrument, scanning electron microscope and enumeration tests. The result showed that the amount of antibacterial ions and bacteriostasis rate of this new material are higher than those for the single-ion inorganic antibacterial material. In addition, the particle size of this material can be extended down to 7 μm with a narrow size distribution. Other advantages of this material are its loose and dispersive structure, good thermal and light stability. From the antibacterial experiment in rubber and the coating surface of metal, this new material showed promising results. The possible antibacterial mechanism was also proposed through all the experimental data in this study. 展开更多

The thermodynamics on vacuum refining process of the metallurgical grade silicon was studied via separation coefficient of impurity phosphorus in the metallurgical grade silicon and vapor-liquid equilibrium composition diagram of Si-P binary alloy at different temperatures. The behaviors of impurity phosphorus in the vacuum distillation process were examined. The results show that the vacuum distillation should be taken to obtain silicon with less than 10-7 P,and the impurity phosphorus is volatilized easily by vacuum distillation in thermodynamics. Phosphorus is distilled from the molten silicon and concentrated in vapor phase. 展开更多

The thermal dissolved sulfuration technology is brought forward and performed based on the characteristic of low grade lead-zinc oxide ore in lanpin.Using sulfur as the sulphidizing agent in the experiment,the oxides in the sandstone and ignimbrite are changed into sulfides.The disproportionation reaction of sulfur in a solution is confirmed as 4S+3H2O=2S2-+S2O32-+6H+.The dynamics process is studied and the first-order reaction rate equation-1n(1-α)=ktt is obtained.The effects of the reactive products,stirring speed,dosage of sulfuration agent,value of pH and sulphidizing temperature on the sulfuration of oxide ore are investigated.The results indicate that the reactive apparent activation energy is 100.8 kJ/mol and the sulfu-ration ratio of lead-zinc oxide ore reaches 60% under the conditions of pH 5.9-7.5,the sulfuration temperature of 130 °C,sulfuration time of 180 min and the stirring speed of 800 r/min. 展开更多

La<sup>0.8 Cu<sup>0.2 MnO<sup>3±δ perovskite-type catalyst for methane combustion prepared through sol-gel process was characterized by X-ray Diffractometry(XRD), X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy(XPS) and Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM). XPS analyses reveal that the surface characteristics of the catalyst are changed. The lattice defects and oxygen vacancies on the catalyst surface are enhanced due to a part of La3+ being substituted by Cu2+ . Temperature-programmed-desorption(TPD) and temperature-programmed-reduction(TPR) analyses were carried out to study the catalytic behavior. It is found that there are two O2-desorption peaks at 350℃ and 650℃ in the TPD pattern, and two CH4-consumption peaks at 420℃ and 750℃ in the TPR patterns respectively, which indicates that the two kinds of oxygen species, so-called α and β oxygen, can react with the methane during catalytic combustion process. The catalytic activity tests were performed in a fixed-bed reactor, and the results show that the T<sup>1/2 at which the conversion of methane attains 50% of La<sup>0.8 Cu<sup>0.2 MnO<sup>3±δ is lower by 55℃ than that of LaMnO3. This indicates that the catalytic activity of-La<sup>0.8 Cu<sup>0.2 MnO<sup>3±δ is increased with partial substitution of Cu2+ for La3+ .- 展开更多

The aim of this research is to pulse co-deposit nano-CeO2 particles into Ni-W-B alloy coatings in order to improve the surface properties. The influence of pulse frequency and duty circle on deposition rate, microhardness and microstructures, and the influence of heat treatment temperature on phase structures, microhardness and abrasivity of Ni-W-B-CeO2 composite coatings were investigated. The results indicated that the pulse co-deposition of nickel, tungsten, boron and nano-CeO2 particle from the bath which nano-CeO2 particle was suspended by high speed mechanical stirring led to the Ni-W-B-CeO2 composite coatings, possessing better microhardness and abrasion resistance when heat-treated at 400 ℃ for 1 h. The microhardness as-deposited with 636 Hz and the deposition rate with 0.0281 mm·h-1 was the highest at pulse frequency with 1000 Hz and pulse duty circle with 10%. Microstructures analysis displays that decreasing pulse duty cycle leads to refinement in grain structures and the improvement of microstructures. X-ray diffraction shows that the composite coating as-deposited was mainly in the amorphous state and partially crystallized, but when heat treated at 400 ℃, the crystallization trend was strengthened further. 展开更多

La1-xSrxCr1-yMnyO3-δ(LSCM) anode materials were synthesized by glycine nitrate process(GNP). Thermo-gravimetric analysis(TGA) and differential scanning calorimetric(DSC) methods were adopted to investigate the reaction process of LSCM anode materials. The oxides prepared were characterized via X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscope and energy dispersive spectroscopy(SEM-EDS),direct current four-electrode and temperature process reduction(TPR) techniques. XRD patterns indicate that perovskite phase created after the precursor was sintered at 1 000 ℃ for 5 h,and single perovskite-type oxides formed after the precursor were sintered at 1 200 ℃ for 5 h. The powders are micrometer size after sintering at 1 000 ℃ and 1 200 ℃,respectively. The conductivities of LSCM samples increase linearly with increasing the temperature from 250 ℃ to 850 ℃ in air and the maximum value is 32 S/cm for La0.7Sr0.3Cr0.5Mn0.5O3-δ. But it is lower about two orders of magnitude in pure hydrogen or methane than that of the same sample in the air. TPR result indicates that LSCM offers excellently catalytic performance. 展开更多

The process was expressed as following: firstly, it is necessary to heat up the molten salts phases change materials to molten; and then the porous metals are put into the molten bath; after being held for 13 h, the composite heat thermal storage materials lumps are taken out of the molten bath and cooled to atmospheric temperature; the last step is to electrodeposit a layer metal coat on the surface of the material lumps. The new type of heat storage material integrates the advantages of both solid sensible heat thermal storage materials and high temperature phases change latent heat thermal storage materials. The metal base heat storage materials enjoy some favorable characteristics such as higher heat charge discharge rate, higher heat storage density and better mechanical strength. 展开更多

In the present investigation, an Al/WO3p metal matrix nanocomposite was fabricated by accumulative roll bonding (ARB) technique. Microstructural evaluation and mechanical properties of specimens were studied by Field Emission-Scanning Electron Microscopy, X-ray Diffraction, microhardness and tensile test. Several factors that affect uniform distribution of reinforcing particles were investigated. At the initial stages of ARB process particle free zones as well as particle clusters were observed in the microstructure of the composite. After 12 ARB cycles, a nanocomposite with a uniform distribution of nanoparticles was produced. It was shown that the tensile strength of the ARBed composite enhanced with the increasing number of ARB cycles. After the first cycle, a significant increase was observed in the tensile strength of nanocomposite in 2.0 percent volume of WO3p, from 89 MPa to 128 MPa (almost 1.4 times increase in strength). After the final cycle, the tensile strength value increased to 205 MPa (that is almost 2.3 times increase in strength) due to the strain hardening and grain refinement. The X-ray diffraction results showed that Al/WO3p nanocomposite with the average crystallite size of 41 nm was successfully attained after 12 cycles of the ARB process. Finally, observations revealed that the fracture mode in Al/WO3p nanocomposite was of type shearing ductile fracture with elongated shallow dimples. 展开更多

Ni-W-P-CeO2-SiO2 nano-composite coatings were prepared on the carbon steel surface by pulse co-deposition of nickel, tungsten, phosphorus, nano-CeO2 and nano-SiO2 particles. The influence of nano-SiO2 particles concentrations in electrolyte on microstructures and properties of the nano-composite coatings were researched, and the characteristics were assessed by chemical compositions, element distribution, deposition rate, microhardness and microstructures. The results indicate that when nano-SiO2 particles concentrations in electrolyte are controlled at 20 g·L-1, the deposition rate with 27.07 μm·h-1 and the microhardness with 666 Hv of the nano-composite coatings are highest, element line scanning and area scanning analyses show that the average contents of elements W, P, Si and Ce in the nano-composite coatings are close, displaying that the distribution of every element within the nano-composite coatings is even. An increase in nano-SiO2 particles concentrations in electrolyte (when lower than 20 g·L-1) leads to refinement in grain structure of nano-composite coatings, but when it improved to 30 g·L-1, the crystallite sizes increase again and in the meantime there are a lot of small boss with nodulation shape appearing on the surface of nano-composite coatings. 展开更多

Preparation and properties of Ce_(0.8)Ca_(0.2)O_(1.8) anode material by glycine-nitrate process

Ce0.8Ca0.2O1.8 (CDC82) anode material was prepared by glycine-nitrate process(GNP). Thermogravimetric(TG) analysis and differential scanning calorimetric(DSC) methods were adopted to characterize the reaction process of CDC82 material. X-ray diffractometry(XRD), scanning electron microcopy(SEM), direct current four probe (four-probe DC) and temperature process reduce(TPR) techniques were adopted to characterize the properties of CDC82 material. After the precursor was sintered at 750 ℃ for 4 h, CDC82 material with pure-fluorite structure and nanometer size was obtained. The total conductivity of CDC82 changes little with temperature in air at 50?850 ℃ , and the maximum value is 0.04 S/cm at 750 ℃ . The total conductivity wholly becomes larger when the atmosphere changes from air to hydrogen, which greatly increases with increasing temperature and reaches the maximum value of 1.09 S/cm at 850 ℃. Some impurities such as CeMg and La2O3 exist after the mixture of CDC82 anode and La1?xSrxGa1?yMgyO3?δ (LSGM) electrolyte material is sintered at 1 200 ℃ for 15 h. The CDC82 material as anode material has excellent catalytic property for hydrogen and methane. 展开更多

The components, surface and cross sectional morphologies, and the effects of heat treatment temperature on phase structure, hardness, abrasion resistance and oxidation resistance of pulse electrodeposition RE-Ni-W-B-B4C-PTFE composite coatings, were all investigated. The results show that W and B contents increase in the RE-Ni-W-B composite coating by using pulse electrodeposition. RE, PTFE and B4C particles can be co-deposited into the Ni-W-B composite coating, but the amount is very little. X-ray diffraction analysis displays that the RE-Ni-W-B-B4C-PTFE composite coating is mainly amorphous, partially crystallized as-deposited, but it turns into crystalline state and PTFE in the coatings will decompose after the heat treatment temperature is higher than 400℃. The hardness of the composite coating increases with increasing heat treatment temperature, it comes up to the highest value at 400℃. The oxidized film mass of the composite coating increases slowly when the oxidation temperature is lower than 500℃, but it increases linearly and sharply after the oxidation temperature is higher than 600℃. 展开更多
