Objective:This study aimed to elucidate the influence of IFN-gamma(IFN-γ)in neuroblastoma(NB)cells and reveal its potential underlying molecular mechanism.Methods:The Cell Counting Kit-8,Transwell apparatus,and flow ...Objective:This study aimed to elucidate the influence of IFN-gamma(IFN-γ)in neuroblastoma(NB)cells and reveal its potential underlying molecular mechanism.Methods:The Cell Counting Kit-8,Transwell apparatus,and flow cytometry were employed to assess cellular viability,migratory capacity,invasive potential,and apoptotic rates,respectively.RNA-seq combined with bioinformatics analysis revealed differentially expressed genes(DEGs)and their possible biological functions.Protein levels were determined by western blot analysis.Results:IFN-γtreatment resulted in diminished cell viability,mitigated migratory and invasive capabilities,and augmented apoptotic activity in the SK-N-BE(2)cell line,whereas it exhibited the opposite effect in SH-SY5Y cells.Furthermore,interferon regulatory factor 1(IRF-1)was the common DEG in both IFN-γ-treated SK-N-BE(2)and SH-SY5Y cells.Additionally,we found that it was underexpressed in NB tissues.The depletion of IRF-1 promoted the progression of both SK-N-BE(2)and SH-SY5Y cells.Moreover,IRF-1 knockdown effectively counteracted the effects of IFN-γon SK-N-BE(2)cells,while exacerbating them in SH-SY5Y cells.Conclusion:This study verified that IFN-γexerted a distinct role in both N-Myc-and non-N-Myc-amplified NB cells,partially by mediating the expression of IRF-1,suggesting that it may serve as a potent agent for treating patients with NB.展开更多
Objective Team cohesion is an essential component in a multidisciplinary team and can inspire the team to perform creative and complex works.This descriptive correlational study aimed to determine the styles of confli...Objective Team cohesion is an essential component in a multidisciplinary team and can inspire the team to perform creative and complex works.This descriptive correlational study aimed to determine the styles of conflict management,levels of team cohesion,and the relationship between each style of conflict management and perceived team cohesion among nurses at affiliated hospitals of Dali University.Methods The sample consisted of 336 nurses from two university hospitals in Yunnan province,selected using the proportionate sampling method.Research instruments included demographic data form,Dutch Test for Conflict Handling(DUTCH)and Group Cohesion Scale.The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient for the five subscales of DUTCH were the following:forcing(0.83),yielding(0.81),avoiding(0.88),problem-solving(0.85),and compromising(0.84).The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of Group Cohesion Scale was 0.83.Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Spearman’s rank-order correlations.Results The results of this study revealed that nurses were most likely to use avoiding conflict management style to deal with conflict situations,followed in rank order by problem-solving,compromising,forcing and yielding conflict management style.Nurses perceived team cohesion at a moderate level(x=4.43,SD=2.01).Additionally,conflict management associated with team cohesion.Conclusion The study findings revealed that avoiding was the conflict management style most frequently utilized by nurses,and nurses perceived team cohesion was at a moderate level.It is required to identify various strategies to improve team cohesion in multidisciplinary teams and develop a support system for nurses.展开更多

Objective: To investigate the status of anxiety, depression and quality of life and related factors in patients with COPD. Methods: One hundred patients admitted to the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine of the First Affiliated Hospital of Dali University with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease evaluated by anxiety self-assessment scale, depression self-assessment scale and quality of life rating scale for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Results: The incidence of anxiety in COPD patients was 82.5%, and the incidence of depression was 87.3%. The probability of both anxiety and depression was high, and the prevalence of women was significantly higher than that of men. Correlation analysis and logistic regression results showed that education level was negatively correlated with the occurrence of anxiety, and age was positively correlated with the occurrence of anxiety. Elderly patients were prone to anxiety and had lower quality of life. Conclusion: The older and less educated the COPD patients are, the higher the incidence of anxiety and depression, and the higher the incidence in female patients.展开更多

Patients and Methods: Between May and September 2018, the data were collected from 61 patients and their caregivers. Demographic information of CHF patients was collected by questionnaires; the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) and the Minnesota Living with Heart Failure Questionnaire (MLHFQ) were used to assess CHF patient’s anxiety, depression and quality of life (QOL); the HADS, the Family Caregiver Quality of Life (FAMQOL) were used to assess primary caregivers’ anxiety, depression and QOL. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, independent-sample t-test, one-way analysis of variance and multiple stepwise regression were used in the statistical analysis. SPSS 17.0 was used to manage and perform statistical analyses. Results: Quality of life, anxiety, and depression of the patients and caregivers had significant positive correlations. Gender, quality of life, number of hospitalizations, duration of patients’ heart failure, and the quality of life of caregivers influenced patients’ anxiety. Gender, quality of life, relationship with the patient, and depression of caregivers influenced their anxiety. The quality of life and anxiety of patients influenced their depression. Daily caregiving time, anxiety, relationship with patients, and the patients’ heart function influenced caregivers’ depression. Conclusion: The patients and caregivers experienced anxiety and depression, which interacts and decreases their quality of life. It is important to regularly assess anxiety, depression, and quality of life in patients with chronic heart failure and their primary caregivers.展开更多
Background and Objectives:Microneedling has been introduced as a new technique to address the growing concern of facial skin photoaging.Kangfuxin liquid has been found to promote the process of skin wound repair,inclu...Background and Objectives:Microneedling has been introduced as a new technique to address the growing concern of facial skin photoaging.Kangfuxin liquid has been found to promote the process of skin wound repair,including reducing inflammatory response,improving immunity and enhancing antioxidant levels.In this prospective randomized double-blinded study,we wanted to explore the clinical efficacy and safety of Kangfuxin liquid combined with microneedling in treating facial skin photoaging.Methods:57 patients with facial skin photoaging were randomly divided into two groups.The treatment group(28 cases)received microneedle therapy with Kangfuxin liquid,while the control group(29 cases)received microneedle therapy with physiological saline.The treatment interval was 4 weeks,and a total of 3 treatments were performed.Compare the VISIA scores of facial photoaging features such as wrinkles,texture,pores,spots and ultraviolet pigmentation between two groups of patients before and after treatment,Global Score for Photoaging,satisfaction evaluation,and record the occurrence of adverse reactions.Results:After treatment,the treatment group showed more significant improvement in wrinkles,texture,pores,spots and ultraviolet pigmentation,and the Global Score for Photoaging was better than the control group(P<0.05).The satisfaction rate with improving skin in the treatment group was 85.71%,which was higher than 75.86%in the control group(P<0.05).Both groups did not experience adverse reactions such as skin infection,pigmentation or hypopigmentation,scar formation,or worsening of melasma.Conclusion:Kangfuxin liquid combined with microneedling therapy has a good improvement effect on facial skin photoaging,with a low incidence of adverse reactions and high patient satisfaction.It is worthy of clinical promotion.展开更多

Multiple lentigines syndrome is an autosomal dominant genetic disease,and its expressivity and penetrance are variable.It is also known as LEOPARD syndrome(LS).The genes known to be associated with LS include PTPN11,R...Multiple lentigines syndrome is an autosomal dominant genetic disease,and its expressivity and penetrance are variable.It is also known as LEOPARD syndrome(LS).The genes known to be associated with LS include PTPN11,RAF1 and BRAF.The diagnosis of LS(OMIM 151100)is based on the observation of key features in the clinical background.LS caused by a germline PTPN11 mutation are characterized as multisystemic anomalies and variable marked phenotypes such as multiple lentigines and cafénoir spots,electrocardiographic conduction abnormalities,ocular hypertelorism/obstructive cardiomyopathy,pulmonary stenosis,abnormal genitalia,retardation of growth,and deafness.Phenotype overlap complicates clinical discrimination within RASopathies,making the diagnosis of LS more confusing and challenging.Besides,LS patients do not usually present with all these typical clinical features,increasing the possibility of underdiagnosis or misdiagnosis.Herein,we report a case of a 41-year-old male presenting with multiple dark pigmented macules all over the body,thoracic deformity and family history.And we followed up the patients.展开更多
AIM:To investigate the anti-proliferation and apoptosisinducing effects of sodium aescinate(SA)on retinoblastoma Y79 cells and its mechanism.METHODS:Y79 cells were cultured at different drug concentrations for differe...AIM:To investigate the anti-proliferation and apoptosisinducing effects of sodium aescinate(SA)on retinoblastoma Y79 cells and its mechanism.METHODS:Y79 cells were cultured at different drug concentrations for different periods of time(24,48,and 72 h).The inhibitory effect of SA on proliferation of Y79 cells was detected by the cell counting kit-8(CCK-8)assay,and the morphology of Y79 cells in each group was observed under an inverted microscope.An IC50 of 48 h was selected for subsequent experiments.After pretreatment with SA for 24 and 48 h,cellular DNA distribution and apoptosis were detected by flow cytometry.Real-time qunatitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR)and Western blot were used to assess changes in related genes(CDK1,CyclinB1,Bax,Bcl-2,caspase-9,caspase-8,and caspase-3).RESULTS:SA inhibited proliferation and induced apoptosis of Y79 cells in a time-dependent and concentrationdependent manner.Following its intervention in the cell cycle pathway,SA can inhibit the expression of CDK1 and Cyclin B1 at the mRNA and protein levels,and block cells in the G2/M phase.In caspase-related apoptotic pathways,up-regulation of Bax and down-regulation of Bcl-2 caused caspase-9 to self-cleave and further activate caspase-3.What’s more,the caspase-8-mediated extrinsic apoptosis pathway was activated,and the activated caspase-8 was released into the cytoplasm to activate caspase-3,which as a member of the downstream apoptotic effect group,initiates a caspase-cascade reaction that induces cell apoptosis.CONCLUSION:SA inhibits the proliferation of Y79 cells by arresting the cell cycle at the G2/M phase,and induces apoptosis via the caspase-related apoptosis pathway,indicating that SA may have promising potential as a chemotherapeutic drug.展开更多

Methods: 1) The target data of randomized cont...Objective: To evaluate the diagnostic value and safety of CT and ultrasound-guided PTNB for peripheral type of occupying lung lesions by meta-analysis and clinical study. Methods: 1) The target data of randomized controlled trials of CT and ultrasound-guided PTNB for peripheral type of occupying lung lesions were extracted by computer search of foreign PubMed, Embase, the Cochrane Library, Web of Science databases, since the establishment of the database. Cochrane quality assessment criteria were used for evaluation. Statistical analysis was performed using Review Manager 5.3 software. 2) To retrospectively study the diagnosis rate and complication rate of patients, undergoing CT or ultrasound-guided PTNB in the First Affiliated Hospital of Dali University from January 2015 to December 2020. Results: Meta-analysis included 7 papers with a total of 1177 patients including 502 patients in the ultrasound group and 675 patients in the CT group. Meta-analysis results showed that there was no difference in the diagnosis rate of PTNB guided by ultrasound and CT. The incidence of postoperative complications was higher in the CT group than in the ultrasound group. The incidence of postoperative pneumothorax was higher in the CT group than in the ultrasound group, and there was no difference in the incidence of postoperative bleeding. 3) Clinical study results show that the puncture success rate was 100% in both of the ultrasound and CT groups, the pathological diagnosis rate was 85.48% in the ultrasound group and 91.67% in the CT group, and there was no difference in the overall complication rate between the two puncture groups. Conclusion: Either ultrasound or CT-guided PTNB is a safe and effective clinical diagnostic method for the diagnosis of peripheral pulmonary occupations.展开更多
Primary mucinous carcinoma of the thyroid gland which is more difficult to diagnose than common thyroid cancer is an extremely rare disease.It is a malignant tumor that can secrete mucus.A 45-year-old Chinese man came...Primary mucinous carcinoma of the thyroid gland which is more difficult to diagnose than common thyroid cancer is an extremely rare disease.It is a malignant tumor that can secrete mucus.A 45-year-old Chinese man came to seek medical care because he found a lump in his right side.Tomography showed that there was a space-occupying lesion on the right thyroid gland which compressed the tracheal.After the operation of total thyroidectomy and lymph node dissection in the right central area,the pathological examination showed that tumor cells existed,showing a small nest-like and cribriform distribution characteristics.There were broad fibrous tissues,a large amount of mucus around the tumur cell that had no obvious amyloid deposition.The tumor cells were positive for thyroid transcription factor-1 and paired box gene-8,while they were focally positive for thyroglobulin.Considering the histological features and immunohistochemical profile and ruling out mucinous cancers originating from other organs.The patient was diagnosed with primary mucinous carcinoma of the thyroid gland.This patient is still alive at present.Prognosis of primary mucinous carcinoma of the thyroid gland is usually poor.The best way to improve the prognosis of these patients maybe to do surgery of complete tumor+lymph node resection as soon as possible.展开更多
BACKGROUND A giant juvenile fibroadenoma(GJF)is a rare,benign breast tumor that affects females<18 years of age.GJFs are generally suspected based on a palpable mass.GJFs influence breast shape and mammary gland de...BACKGROUND A giant juvenile fibroadenoma(GJF)is a rare,benign breast tumor that affects females<18 years of age.GJFs are generally suspected based on a palpable mass.GJFs influence breast shape and mammary gland development via the pressure effect from their enormous size.CASE SUMMARY Herein we report a case involving a 14-year-old Chinese female with a GJF in the left breast.GJF is a rare,benign breast tumor that usually occurs between 9 and 18 years of age and accounts for 0.5%-4.0%of all fibroadenomas.In severe cases,breast deformation may occur.This disease is rarely reported in Chinese people and has a high clinical misdiagnosis rate due to the absence of specific imaging features.On July 25,2022,a patient with a GJF was admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Dali University.The preoperative clinical examination and conventional ultrasound diagnosis needed further clarification.The mass was shown to be an atypical lobulated mass during the operation and confirmed to be a GJF based on pathologic examination.CONCLUSION GJF is also a rare,benign breast tumor in Chinese women.Evaluation of such masses consists of a physical examination,radiography,ultrasonography,computer tomography,and magnetic resonance imaging.GJFs are confirmed by histopathologic examination.Mastectomy is not selected when the patient benefits from a complete resection of the mass with breast reconstruction and an uneventful recovery.展开更多
AIM: To investigate the relationships between the changes of heat shock protein 27 antibody(anti-HSP27) in serum/cerebrospinal fluid(CSF), intraocular pressure(IOP), retinal ganglion cell(RGC) apoptosis in a rat glauc...AIM: To investigate the relationships between the changes of heat shock protein 27 antibody(anti-HSP27) in serum/cerebrospinal fluid(CSF), intraocular pressure(IOP), retinal ganglion cell(RGC) apoptosis in a rat glaucoma model and disclose the underlying pathogenesis of glaucoma.METHODS: A total of 115 Wistar rats were randomly divided into 4 groups. Group 1 was the ocular hypertension group by condensing 3 episcleral & limbal veins or episcleral area of right eye(HP group, n=25) and sham operation group with conjunctiva incision without coagulation(n=25). Group 2: HSP27 or dose-matched PBS was injected into the vitreous(V-HSP27 group, n=15;V-PBS group, n=15). Group 3: HSP27 and complete Freund's adjuvant or dosematched PBS was injected subcutaneously into the hind limb accompanied intraperitoneal injection of pertussis toxin [sensitized group(I-HSP27 group), n=15;I-PBS group, n=15)]. Group 4 was normal group without any treatment(n=5). IOPs of the rats were measured before, day 3, weeks 1, 2, 4, 6, and 8 after treatment. Paraffin-embedded sections were prepared for HE staining and RGCs apoptosis were detected by TUNEL. Anti-HSP27 level in serum and CSF were examined by ELISA. RESULTS: IOPs were elevated significantly in HP and V-HSP27, V-PBS groups(P<0.01) and positively related to anti-HSP27 levels in serum and CSFs. Anti-HSP27 levels in serum and CSF were elevated significantly in I-HSP27group compared to other groups(P<0.05). However, the IOPs did not show any relationship with the high-level antiHSP27 in serum and CSFs. RGC apoptosis were all elevated significantly in the HP, V-HSP27, V-PBS and I-HSP27 groups and also positively relative with anti-HSP27 level in serum and CSFs except that high-level of anti-HSP27 in the serum of I-HSP group.CONCLUSION: The increases of anti-HSP27 levels in serum and CSFs both promote IOP escalation and the increase of RGC apoptosis in retina when anti-HSP27 is at low level. The case of high-level anti-HSP27 is opposite and shows protective function in preventing IOP increase and RGC apoptosis.展开更多

About 95% of the patients have specific chromosome translocation t (15 ≤ 17) (q22, q12). APL progresses rapidly and is characterized by extensive and severe bleeding and disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC). Patients may present with severe clinical manifestation which is often caused by the occurrence of DIC in the early stages of the disease. Pregnancy complicated with APL is rare in the clinical setting. They have many complications, high mortality and are difficult to manage clinically. This case report describes a case of a primary pregnancy complicated with APL, in order to better understand how to manage such complex cases.展开更多
Background:Microsatellite instability(MSI)is a key biomarker for cancer immunotherapy and prognosis.Integration of MSI testing into a next-generation-sequencing(NGS)panel could save tissue sample,reduce turn-around ti...Background:Microsatellite instability(MSI)is a key biomarker for cancer immunotherapy and prognosis.Integration of MSI testing into a next-generation-sequencing(NGS)panel could save tissue sample,reduce turn-around time and cost,and provide MSI status and comprehensive genomic profiling in single test.We aimed to develop an MSI calling model to detect MSI status along with the NGS panel-based profiling test using tumor-only samples.Methods:From January 2019 to December 2020,a total of 174 colorectal cancer(CRC)patients were enrolled,including 31 MSI-high(MSI-H)and 143 microsatellite stability(MSS)cases.Among them,56 paired tumor and normal samples(10 MSI-H and 46 MSS)were used for modeling,and another 118 tumor-only samples were used for validation.MSI polymerase chain reaction(MSI-PCR)was performed as the gold standard.A baseline was built for the selected microsatellite loci using the NGS data of 56 normal blood samples.An MSI detection model was constructed by analyzing the NGS data of tissue samples.The performance of the model was compared with the results of MSI-PCR.Results:We first intersected the target genomic regions of the NGS panels used in this study to select common microsatellite loci.A total of 42 loci including 23 mononucleotide repeat sites and 19 longer repeat sites were candidates for modeling.As mononucleotide repeat sites are more sensitive and specific for detecting MSI status than sites with longer length motif and the mononucleotide repeat sites performed even better than the total sites,a model containing 23 mononucleotide repeat sites was constructed and named Colorectal Cancer Microsatellite Instability test(CRC-MSI).The model achieved 100%sensitivity and 100%specificity when compared with MSI-PCR in both training and validation sets.Furthermore,the CRC-MSI model was robust with the tumor content as low as 6%.In addition,8 out of 10 MSI-H samples showed alternations in the four mismatch repair genes(MLH1,MSH2,MSH6,and PMS2).Conclusion:MSI status can be accurately determined along the targeted NGS panels using only tumor samples.The performance of mononucleotide repeat sites surpasses loci with longer repeat motif in MSI calling.展开更多

文摘Objective:This study aimed to elucidate the influence of IFN-gamma(IFN-γ)in neuroblastoma(NB)cells and reveal its potential underlying molecular mechanism.Methods:The Cell Counting Kit-8,Transwell apparatus,and flow cytometry were employed to assess cellular viability,migratory capacity,invasive potential,and apoptotic rates,respectively.RNA-seq combined with bioinformatics analysis revealed differentially expressed genes(DEGs)and their possible biological functions.Protein levels were determined by western blot analysis.Results:IFN-γtreatment resulted in diminished cell viability,mitigated migratory and invasive capabilities,and augmented apoptotic activity in the SK-N-BE(2)cell line,whereas it exhibited the opposite effect in SH-SY5Y cells.Furthermore,interferon regulatory factor 1(IRF-1)was the common DEG in both IFN-γ-treated SK-N-BE(2)and SH-SY5Y cells.Additionally,we found that it was underexpressed in NB tissues.The depletion of IRF-1 promoted the progression of both SK-N-BE(2)and SH-SY5Y cells.Moreover,IRF-1 knockdown effectively counteracted the effects of IFN-γon SK-N-BE(2)cells,while exacerbating them in SH-SY5Y cells.Conclusion:This study verified that IFN-γexerted a distinct role in both N-Myc-and non-N-Myc-amplified NB cells,partially by mediating the expression of IRF-1,suggesting that it may serve as a potent agent for treating patients with NB.
文摘Objective Team cohesion is an essential component in a multidisciplinary team and can inspire the team to perform creative and complex works.This descriptive correlational study aimed to determine the styles of conflict management,levels of team cohesion,and the relationship between each style of conflict management and perceived team cohesion among nurses at affiliated hospitals of Dali University.Methods The sample consisted of 336 nurses from two university hospitals in Yunnan province,selected using the proportionate sampling method.Research instruments included demographic data form,Dutch Test for Conflict Handling(DUTCH)and Group Cohesion Scale.The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient for the five subscales of DUTCH were the following:forcing(0.83),yielding(0.81),avoiding(0.88),problem-solving(0.85),and compromising(0.84).The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of Group Cohesion Scale was 0.83.Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Spearman’s rank-order correlations.Results The results of this study revealed that nurses were most likely to use avoiding conflict management style to deal with conflict situations,followed in rank order by problem-solving,compromising,forcing and yielding conflict management style.Nurses perceived team cohesion at a moderate level(x=4.43,SD=2.01).Additionally,conflict management associated with team cohesion.Conclusion The study findings revealed that avoiding was the conflict management style most frequently utilized by nurses,and nurses perceived team cohesion was at a moderate level.It is required to identify various strategies to improve team cohesion in multidisciplinary teams and develop a support system for nurses.
文摘Background: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a common and frequently occurring disease, which not only has a higher fatality rate, but also leads to loss of labor force and an obvious decrease in the quality of life in the course of long-term disease, patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease complicated with anxiety and depression are a major public health problem. Objective: To investigate the status of anxiety, depression and quality of life and related factors in patients with COPD. Methods: One hundred patients admitted to the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine of the First Affiliated Hospital of Dali University with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease evaluated by anxiety self-assessment scale, depression self-assessment scale and quality of life rating scale for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Results: The incidence of anxiety in COPD patients was 82.5%, and the incidence of depression was 87.3%. The probability of both anxiety and depression was high, and the prevalence of women was significantly higher than that of men. Correlation analysis and logistic regression results showed that education level was negatively correlated with the occurrence of anxiety, and age was positively correlated with the occurrence of anxiety. Elderly patients were prone to anxiety and had lower quality of life. Conclusion: The older and less educated the COPD patients are, the higher the incidence of anxiety and depression, and the higher the incidence in female patients.
文摘Objective: This study examined the associations between anxiety, depression, and quality of life among hospitalized patients with chronic heart failure and their primary caregivers. Patients and Methods: Between May and September 2018, the data were collected from 61 patients and their caregivers. Demographic information of CHF patients was collected by questionnaires; the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) and the Minnesota Living with Heart Failure Questionnaire (MLHFQ) were used to assess CHF patient’s anxiety, depression and quality of life (QOL); the HADS, the Family Caregiver Quality of Life (FAMQOL) were used to assess primary caregivers’ anxiety, depression and QOL. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, independent-sample t-test, one-way analysis of variance and multiple stepwise regression were used in the statistical analysis. SPSS 17.0 was used to manage and perform statistical analyses. Results: Quality of life, anxiety, and depression of the patients and caregivers had significant positive correlations. Gender, quality of life, number of hospitalizations, duration of patients’ heart failure, and the quality of life of caregivers influenced patients’ anxiety. Gender, quality of life, relationship with the patient, and depression of caregivers influenced their anxiety. The quality of life and anxiety of patients influenced their depression. Daily caregiving time, anxiety, relationship with patients, and the patients’ heart function influenced caregivers’ depression. Conclusion: The patients and caregivers experienced anxiety and depression, which interacts and decreases their quality of life. It is important to regularly assess anxiety, depression, and quality of life in patients with chronic heart failure and their primary caregivers.
文摘Background and Objectives:Microneedling has been introduced as a new technique to address the growing concern of facial skin photoaging.Kangfuxin liquid has been found to promote the process of skin wound repair,including reducing inflammatory response,improving immunity and enhancing antioxidant levels.In this prospective randomized double-blinded study,we wanted to explore the clinical efficacy and safety of Kangfuxin liquid combined with microneedling in treating facial skin photoaging.Methods:57 patients with facial skin photoaging were randomly divided into two groups.The treatment group(28 cases)received microneedle therapy with Kangfuxin liquid,while the control group(29 cases)received microneedle therapy with physiological saline.The treatment interval was 4 weeks,and a total of 3 treatments were performed.Compare the VISIA scores of facial photoaging features such as wrinkles,texture,pores,spots and ultraviolet pigmentation between two groups of patients before and after treatment,Global Score for Photoaging,satisfaction evaluation,and record the occurrence of adverse reactions.Results:After treatment,the treatment group showed more significant improvement in wrinkles,texture,pores,spots and ultraviolet pigmentation,and the Global Score for Photoaging was better than the control group(P<0.05).The satisfaction rate with improving skin in the treatment group was 85.71%,which was higher than 75.86%in the control group(P<0.05).Both groups did not experience adverse reactions such as skin infection,pigmentation or hypopigmentation,scar formation,or worsening of melasma.Conclusion:Kangfuxin liquid combined with microneedling therapy has a good improvement effect on facial skin photoaging,with a low incidence of adverse reactions and high patient satisfaction.It is worthy of clinical promotion.

文摘Sarcopenia is a common complication of malnutrition.Patients with colorectal cancer are prone to secondary sarcopenia due to nutrient absorption,intestinal obstruction,metabolic disorders and other reasons.Nutritional status not only participates in the body’s normal function but also has an important impact on anti-tumor treatment.More and more evidence shows that sarcopenia has a negative effect on the treatment and prognosis of colorectal cancer.This article summarizes the related research,such as the influence of sarcopenia on the treatment of colorectal cancer.To evaluate the clinical value of sarcopenia in treating colorectal cancer and provide new ideas for the comprehensive treatment of sarcopenia in patients with colorectal cancer.
文摘Multiple lentigines syndrome is an autosomal dominant genetic disease,and its expressivity and penetrance are variable.It is also known as LEOPARD syndrome(LS).The genes known to be associated with LS include PTPN11,RAF1 and BRAF.The diagnosis of LS(OMIM 151100)is based on the observation of key features in the clinical background.LS caused by a germline PTPN11 mutation are characterized as multisystemic anomalies and variable marked phenotypes such as multiple lentigines and cafénoir spots,electrocardiographic conduction abnormalities,ocular hypertelorism/obstructive cardiomyopathy,pulmonary stenosis,abnormal genitalia,retardation of growth,and deafness.Phenotype overlap complicates clinical discrimination within RASopathies,making the diagnosis of LS more confusing and challenging.Besides,LS patients do not usually present with all these typical clinical features,increasing the possibility of underdiagnosis or misdiagnosis.Herein,we report a case of a 41-year-old male presenting with multiple dark pigmented macules all over the body,thoracic deformity and family history.And we followed up the patients.

文摘AIM:To investigate the anti-proliferation and apoptosisinducing effects of sodium aescinate(SA)on retinoblastoma Y79 cells and its mechanism.METHODS:Y79 cells were cultured at different drug concentrations for different periods of time(24,48,and 72 h).The inhibitory effect of SA on proliferation of Y79 cells was detected by the cell counting kit-8(CCK-8)assay,and the morphology of Y79 cells in each group was observed under an inverted microscope.An IC50 of 48 h was selected for subsequent experiments.After pretreatment with SA for 24 and 48 h,cellular DNA distribution and apoptosis were detected by flow cytometry.Real-time qunatitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR)and Western blot were used to assess changes in related genes(CDK1,CyclinB1,Bax,Bcl-2,caspase-9,caspase-8,and caspase-3).RESULTS:SA inhibited proliferation and induced apoptosis of Y79 cells in a time-dependent and concentrationdependent manner.Following its intervention in the cell cycle pathway,SA can inhibit the expression of CDK1 and Cyclin B1 at the mRNA and protein levels,and block cells in the G2/M phase.In caspase-related apoptotic pathways,up-regulation of Bax and down-regulation of Bcl-2 caused caspase-9 to self-cleave and further activate caspase-3.What’s more,the caspase-8-mediated extrinsic apoptosis pathway was activated,and the activated caspase-8 was released into the cytoplasm to activate caspase-3,which as a member of the downstream apoptotic effect group,initiates a caspase-cascade reaction that induces cell apoptosis.CONCLUSION:SA inhibits the proliferation of Y79 cells by arresting the cell cycle at the G2/M phase,and induces apoptosis via the caspase-related apoptosis pathway,indicating that SA may have promising potential as a chemotherapeutic drug.
文摘This paper aims to discuss the application of eye surgery preparation room( ESPR),also called eye preoperative holding area,in nursing safety assessment and the surgery preparation before ophthalmologic operation. The establishment and application of ESPR optimizes the process of ophthalmologic surgery as w ell as decreases the surgery-w aiting time of patients and turnover period of surgical operations,w hich improves the utilization efficiency of surgery operating room. In addition,the application of ESPR also guarantees the safety of patients during surgical operations and enhances the doctors' satisfaction of cooperation and coordination in surgery operating room.

文摘Skin is the largest organ of human body and it protects the organism from external stimuli.Skin will age as the organism ages in normal circumstances.Skin photoaging refers to the accumulation of ultraviolet radiation due to long-term exposure to sunlight,which results in the premature aging of skin,wrinkles,pigmentation,skin laxity,and other signs of aging.The increase in the level of reactive oxygen species(ROS)induced by ultraviolet radiation,which causes the oxidation of cells,proteins,lipids,and other components,is an important cause of accelerated photoaging of skin.For this reason,the skin's antioxidant system will further play an antioxidant role to reduce oxidative damage by inhibiting ROS production,breaking down ROS,and degrading oxides.Therefore,it is important to understand the mechanism of skin damage caused by Ultraviolet radiation,the effects of reactive oxygen species and how the body's antioxidant system exerts its antioxidant effect.This will not only deepen the understanding of skin photoaging but also provide a scientific basis for the research on how to prevent and treat photoaging.

文摘Retinoblastoma(RB)is a highly aggressive ocular tumor,and due to socioeconomic and medical constraints,many children receive treatment only in the metaphase and advanced clinical stages,resulting in high rates of blindness and disability.Although several approaches exist in the treatment of RB,some children with the disease do not have satisfactory results because of various factors.Plantderived natural products have shown definite therapeutic effects in the treatment of various tumors and are also widely used in the study of RB.We review plant-derived natural products used in the study of anti-RB to provide ideas for the clinical application of these drugs and the development of new therapeutic drugs.
文摘Objective: To evaluate the diagnostic value and safety of CT and ultrasound-guided PTNB for peripheral type of occupying lung lesions by meta-analysis and clinical study. Methods: 1) The target data of randomized controlled trials of CT and ultrasound-guided PTNB for peripheral type of occupying lung lesions were extracted by computer search of foreign PubMed, Embase, the Cochrane Library, Web of Science databases, since the establishment of the database. Cochrane quality assessment criteria were used for evaluation. Statistical analysis was performed using Review Manager 5.3 software. 2) To retrospectively study the diagnosis rate and complication rate of patients, undergoing CT or ultrasound-guided PTNB in the First Affiliated Hospital of Dali University from January 2015 to December 2020. Results: Meta-analysis included 7 papers with a total of 1177 patients including 502 patients in the ultrasound group and 675 patients in the CT group. Meta-analysis results showed that there was no difference in the diagnosis rate of PTNB guided by ultrasound and CT. The incidence of postoperative complications was higher in the CT group than in the ultrasound group. The incidence of postoperative pneumothorax was higher in the CT group than in the ultrasound group, and there was no difference in the incidence of postoperative bleeding. 3) Clinical study results show that the puncture success rate was 100% in both of the ultrasound and CT groups, the pathological diagnosis rate was 85.48% in the ultrasound group and 91.67% in the CT group, and there was no difference in the overall complication rate between the two puncture groups. Conclusion: Either ultrasound or CT-guided PTNB is a safe and effective clinical diagnostic method for the diagnosis of peripheral pulmonary occupations.
文摘Primary mucinous carcinoma of the thyroid gland which is more difficult to diagnose than common thyroid cancer is an extremely rare disease.It is a malignant tumor that can secrete mucus.A 45-year-old Chinese man came to seek medical care because he found a lump in his right side.Tomography showed that there was a space-occupying lesion on the right thyroid gland which compressed the tracheal.After the operation of total thyroidectomy and lymph node dissection in the right central area,the pathological examination showed that tumor cells existed,showing a small nest-like and cribriform distribution characteristics.There were broad fibrous tissues,a large amount of mucus around the tumur cell that had no obvious amyloid deposition.The tumor cells were positive for thyroid transcription factor-1 and paired box gene-8,while they were focally positive for thyroglobulin.Considering the histological features and immunohistochemical profile and ruling out mucinous cancers originating from other organs.The patient was diagnosed with primary mucinous carcinoma of the thyroid gland.This patient is still alive at present.Prognosis of primary mucinous carcinoma of the thyroid gland is usually poor.The best way to improve the prognosis of these patients maybe to do surgery of complete tumor+lymph node resection as soon as possible.
文摘BACKGROUND A giant juvenile fibroadenoma(GJF)is a rare,benign breast tumor that affects females<18 years of age.GJFs are generally suspected based on a palpable mass.GJFs influence breast shape and mammary gland development via the pressure effect from their enormous size.CASE SUMMARY Herein we report a case involving a 14-year-old Chinese female with a GJF in the left breast.GJF is a rare,benign breast tumor that usually occurs between 9 and 18 years of age and accounts for 0.5%-4.0%of all fibroadenomas.In severe cases,breast deformation may occur.This disease is rarely reported in Chinese people and has a high clinical misdiagnosis rate due to the absence of specific imaging features.On July 25,2022,a patient with a GJF was admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Dali University.The preoperative clinical examination and conventional ultrasound diagnosis needed further clarification.The mass was shown to be an atypical lobulated mass during the operation and confirmed to be a GJF based on pathologic examination.CONCLUSION GJF is also a rare,benign breast tumor in Chinese women.Evaluation of such masses consists of a physical examination,radiography,ultrasonography,computer tomography,and magnetic resonance imaging.GJFs are confirmed by histopathologic examination.Mastectomy is not selected when the patient benefits from a complete resection of the mass with breast reconstruction and an uneventful recovery.

文摘AIM: To investigate the relationships between the changes of heat shock protein 27 antibody(anti-HSP27) in serum/cerebrospinal fluid(CSF), intraocular pressure(IOP), retinal ganglion cell(RGC) apoptosis in a rat glaucoma model and disclose the underlying pathogenesis of glaucoma.METHODS: A total of 115 Wistar rats were randomly divided into 4 groups. Group 1 was the ocular hypertension group by condensing 3 episcleral & limbal veins or episcleral area of right eye(HP group, n=25) and sham operation group with conjunctiva incision without coagulation(n=25). Group 2: HSP27 or dose-matched PBS was injected into the vitreous(V-HSP27 group, n=15;V-PBS group, n=15). Group 3: HSP27 and complete Freund's adjuvant or dosematched PBS was injected subcutaneously into the hind limb accompanied intraperitoneal injection of pertussis toxin [sensitized group(I-HSP27 group), n=15;I-PBS group, n=15)]. Group 4 was normal group without any treatment(n=5). IOPs of the rats were measured before, day 3, weeks 1, 2, 4, 6, and 8 after treatment. Paraffin-embedded sections were prepared for HE staining and RGCs apoptosis were detected by TUNEL. Anti-HSP27 level in serum and CSF were examined by ELISA. RESULTS: IOPs were elevated significantly in HP and V-HSP27, V-PBS groups(P<0.01) and positively related to anti-HSP27 levels in serum and CSFs. Anti-HSP27 levels in serum and CSF were elevated significantly in I-HSP27group compared to other groups(P<0.05). However, the IOPs did not show any relationship with the high-level antiHSP27 in serum and CSFs. RGC apoptosis were all elevated significantly in the HP, V-HSP27, V-PBS and I-HSP27 groups and also positively relative with anti-HSP27 level in serum and CSFs except that high-level of anti-HSP27 in the serum of I-HSP group.CONCLUSION: The increases of anti-HSP27 levels in serum and CSFs both promote IOP escalation and the increase of RGC apoptosis in retina when anti-HSP27 is at low level. The case of high-level anti-HSP27 is opposite and shows protective function in preventing IOP increase and RGC apoptosis.
文摘Acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) is a special subgroup of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). About 95% of the patients have specific chromosome translocation t (15 ≤ 17) (q22, q12). APL progresses rapidly and is characterized by extensive and severe bleeding and disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC). Patients may present with severe clinical manifestation which is often caused by the occurrence of DIC in the early stages of the disease. Pregnancy complicated with APL is rare in the clinical setting. They have many complications, high mortality and are difficult to manage clinically. This case report describes a case of a primary pregnancy complicated with APL, in order to better understand how to manage such complex cases.
文摘Background:Microsatellite instability(MSI)is a key biomarker for cancer immunotherapy and prognosis.Integration of MSI testing into a next-generation-sequencing(NGS)panel could save tissue sample,reduce turn-around time and cost,and provide MSI status and comprehensive genomic profiling in single test.We aimed to develop an MSI calling model to detect MSI status along with the NGS panel-based profiling test using tumor-only samples.Methods:From January 2019 to December 2020,a total of 174 colorectal cancer(CRC)patients were enrolled,including 31 MSI-high(MSI-H)and 143 microsatellite stability(MSS)cases.Among them,56 paired tumor and normal samples(10 MSI-H and 46 MSS)were used for modeling,and another 118 tumor-only samples were used for validation.MSI polymerase chain reaction(MSI-PCR)was performed as the gold standard.A baseline was built for the selected microsatellite loci using the NGS data of 56 normal blood samples.An MSI detection model was constructed by analyzing the NGS data of tissue samples.The performance of the model was compared with the results of MSI-PCR.Results:We first intersected the target genomic regions of the NGS panels used in this study to select common microsatellite loci.A total of 42 loci including 23 mononucleotide repeat sites and 19 longer repeat sites were candidates for modeling.As mononucleotide repeat sites are more sensitive and specific for detecting MSI status than sites with longer length motif and the mononucleotide repeat sites performed even better than the total sites,a model containing 23 mononucleotide repeat sites was constructed and named Colorectal Cancer Microsatellite Instability test(CRC-MSI).The model achieved 100%sensitivity and 100%specificity when compared with MSI-PCR in both training and validation sets.Furthermore,the CRC-MSI model was robust with the tumor content as low as 6%.In addition,8 out of 10 MSI-H samples showed alternations in the four mismatch repair genes(MLH1,MSH2,MSH6,and PMS2).Conclusion:MSI status can be accurately determined along the targeted NGS panels using only tumor samples.The performance of mononucleotide repeat sites surpasses loci with longer repeat motif in MSI calling.
