Mechanisms, which control the flow in the reservoir, are still under the investigation of researchers. However, it is important to investigate applications of mechanisms which are present to our knowledge. This paper presents the theory and applications of flow mechanisms in unconventional reservoir modeling. It is a well-known fact that most of the reservoir flow problems are non-linear due to pressure dependency of particular parameters. It is also widely accepted that fully numerical solutions are costly both computational and time wise. Therefore, the presented model in this paper follows semi-analytical solution methods. Gas adsorption in unconventional reservoirs is the major pressure dependent mechanism;in addition existence of natural fractures is also taken considerable attention. This paper aims to investigate combined effect of existence of natural fractures gas adsorption, and gas slippage effect while keeping the computational effort in acceptable range. Unlike the existing literature (Langmuir is widely used), BET multi-layer isotherm employed in this paper for gas adsorption modeling. A modified dual porosity modeling is used for natural fracture and gas slippage effect modeling. For model verification purposes a history matched is performed with real field data from Marcellus shale. The proposed model in this paper shows a good agreement with the field data. It is observed that BET isotherm models early time production performance more accurately than Langmuir isotherm. It is also concluded that gas adsorption significantly improves the production performances of unconventional reservoirs, with natural fractures. In addition, gas slippage has a slight effect in long term production.展开更多

To prevent harm to citizen safety and property, analysis of the causes of such cracking and leakage is therefore valuable. Two incident analyses are discussed here and the reasons why most of these types of cases occur dttring winter are clarified. Fhe effects of vehicle loadings above buried pipelines are calculated and compared with the effects and calculations of frost heaving forces. We demonstrate thtit when the soil layer above a pipeline freezes rapidly, the soil generates repeated frost heaving, which exerts heaving forces on the pipeline that can result in fatigue crack propagation and ultimate pipeline failure. Therefore, the incident induced 9y frost heaving is one of the primary reasons of gas pipeline failure. Based on these analyses, we present some recommendations pertaining to the proper design, construction, and management of gas pipelines.展开更多

The neat membrane and nanocomposite membranes were prepared via solution casting and solution blending methods, respectively. The fabricated membranes were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM) to survey cross-sectional morphologies and thermal gravimetric analysis(TGA)to study thermal stability. Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR) and X-ray diffraction(XRD) analyses were also employed to identify variations of the chemical bonds and crystal structure of the membranes, respectively. Permeation of pure gases, CO, CHand Nthrough the prepared neat and nanocomposite membranes was studied at pressures of 3–18 bar and temperature of 25 °C. The obtained results showed that the fabricated nanocomposite membranes exhibit better separation performance compared to the neat PEBAX membrane in terms of both permeability and selectivity. As an example, at temperature of 25 °C and pressure of 3 bar, COpermeability, ideal CO/CHand CO/Nselectivity values for the neat PEBAX membrane are 110.67 Barrer, 11.09 and 50.08, respectively, while those values are 152.27 Barrer,13.52 and 62.15 for PEBAX/ZnO nanocomposite membrane containing 8 wt% ZnO.展开更多

Experimental databases on H_2 S solubility were rarely available, so as reliable predictive models. Thus, in this study the H_2 S solubility database was established, and then a Least-Squares Support Vector Machine(LSSVM) approach based on the established database is proposed. Group contribution method was also applied to eliminate the model's dependence on experimental data. Accordingly, our proposed LSSVM model can predict H_2 S solubility as a function of temperature, pressure, and 15 different chemical structures of Ionic liquids(ILs). Root Mean Square Error(RMSE) and coefficient of determination(R^2) are 0.0122 and 0.9941, respectively. Moreover, comparison of our model with other existing models showed its reliability for H_2 S solubility in ILs. This can be very useful for engineers dealing with gas sweetening process in different applications of analysis, simulation, and designation.展开更多

In this research, it has been shown that length of the borehole segments created by each joint set could be computed by trigonometrical relations. By realizing the lengths associated with joint sets, an algorithm has been designed to compute the length of borehole pieces (created by all joint sets) and to calculate RQD. Effect of some factors have been analyzed and applied to the abstract model of the rock mass to have the most similarity to a real rock mass. The program proposed in this study, is a robust platform to calculate the RQD in all directions inside a rock mass without having to deal with the labor of core logging and wrestling with difficulties and inaccuracies of the traditional processes. This is the first algorithmic method for estimating the rock quality which could be employed to develop a new and far more reliable measurement for the degree of jointing inside a rock mass.展开更多

In addition, gas slippage has a slight effect in long term production.
文摘Western Ukraine as well as Crimea Peninsula is well known for their geothermal potential. The classic low enthalpy geothermal project is based on the construction of a binary power plant, and includes recycling of water through one or several doublets of wells;produced hot water is directed to a heat exchanger(vaporizer),in which a secondary(working)fluid with low boiling point and high vapor pressure vaporizes and rotates a turbine to produce electricity. The highest risk for the project is associated with drilling new wells, which may not hit the target or not have the required productivity.Western Ukraine is one of the oldest oil and gas production regions in Europe. The majority of the fields are on a late stage of the development that is characterized with high produced volumes of water that after separation is being reinjected back for pressure support. In this study,we evaluated the possibility of geothermal energy production, extracted from water that is produced together with oil and gas, based on numerical reservoir simulation models for a typical reservoir setting.

文摘In the cold regions of northern China, incidents of municipal underground gas pipeline rupture and leakage occur quite fi-equently, aaost often in winter. Based on these analyses, we present some recommendations pertaining to the proper design, construction, and management of gas pipelines.

文摘Data-driven surrogate models that assist with efficient evolutionary algorithms to find the optimal development scheme have been widely used to solve reservoir production optimization problems. However, existing research suggests that the effectiveness of a surrogate model can vary depending on the complexity of the design problem.A surrogate model that has demonstrated success in one scenario may not perform as well in others. In the absence of prior knowledge, finding a promising surrogate model that performs well for an unknown reservoir is challenging. Moreover, the optimization process often relies on a single evolutionary algorithm, which can yield varying results across different cases. To address these limitations, this paper introduces a novel approach called the multi-surrogate framework with an adaptive selection mechanism(MSFASM)to tackle production optimization problems.MSFASM consists of two stages. In the first stage,a reduced-dimensional broad learning system(BLS)is used to adaptively select the evolutionary algorithm with the best performance during the current optimization period. In the second stage, the multi-objective algorithm,non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm II(NSGA-II),is used as an optimizer to find a set of Pareto solutions with good performance on multiple surrogate models.A novel optimal point criterion is utilized in this stage to select the Pareto solutions, thereby obtaining the desired development schemes without increasing the computational load of the numerical simulator. The two stages are combined using sequential transfer learning. From the two most important perspectives of an evolutionary algorithm and a surrogate model, the proposed method improves adaptability to optimization problems of various reservoir types. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, four 100-dimensional benchmark functions and two reservoir models are tested, and the results are compared with those obtained by six other surrogate-model-based methods. The results demonstrate that our approach can obtain the maximum net present value(NPV)of the target production optimization problems.

文摘According to the distribution of abutment stress in a stope, this research established the mechanical model of mining abutment pressure transmission in floor base on the theory of semi-infnite plate body in elasticity. This study takes the 762 working face of Haizi Coal Mine as a case in point, and analyzed the dynamic evolution law of seam floor stress during the mining process. With an organic combination of the mining floor stress and surrounding rock stress, the study obtained the change laws of the maximum principle stress and the minimum one for the floor roadway surrounding rock when mining the upper working face.Considering the non-constant pressure force state and the cracks revolution mechanisms of floor roadway surrounding rock, the research built the mechanical model of roadway stress.Simulation results verify the reliability of the above conclusions. Moreover, this model could provide the theoretical basis and technical support for controlling floor roadway surrounding rock.
文摘In this investigation, polymeric nanocomposite membranes(PNMs) were prepared via incorporating zinc oxide(ZnO) into poly(ether-block-amide)(PEBAX-1074) polymer matrix with different loadings. As an example, at temperature of 25 °C and pressure of 3 bar, COpermeability, ideal CO/CHand CO/Nselectivity values for the neat PEBAX membrane are 110.67 Barrer, 11.09 and 50.08, respectively, while those values are 152.27 Barrer,13.52 and 62.15 for PEBAX/ZnO nanocomposite membrane containing 8 wt% ZnO.

文摘Diagenetic fluid types of the Cretaceous Bashijiqike formation are restored based on the analysis of petrographic, electron microprobe composition, inclusions homogenization temperature, salinity and vapor composition and laser carbon and oxygen isotope of diagenetic mineral, and regional geological background.Diagenetic fluid evolution sequence is analyzed on this basis. The crystalline dolomite cement has a low concerntration of Sr,high concerntration of Mn and higher carbon isotope, showing that the crystalline dolomite is affected by meteoric fresh water, associated with the tectonic uplift of late Cretaceous.Similarδ13CPDB,negative transfer ofδ18OPDB and the differentiation of the concerntration of Fe and Mn indicate that the diagenetic fluid of the vein dolomite cement is homologous with the diagenetic fluid of the crystalline dolomite cement, temperature and depth are the dominant factors of differential precipitation between these two carbonate cements.Anhydrite cements have high concerntration of Na,extremely low concerntration of Fe and Mn contents.Based on these data, anhydrite cements can be thought to be related to the alkaline fluid overlying gypsum-salt layer produced by dehydration. The barite vein has abnormally high concerntration of Sr,ultra-high homogenization temperature and high-density gas hydrocarbon inclusions, which is speculated to be the forward fluid by intrusion of late natural gas.Coexistence of methane inclusions with CO2 gas proves existence of acid water during the accumulation of natural gas in the late stages. Therefore, the alkaline environment and associated diagenesis between the meteoric fresh water in epidiagentic stage and carbonic acid in the late diagenesis have dominated the process of diagenesis and reservoir, the secondary porosity and fracture zone formed by gas accumulation is a favorable play for the exploration of ultra-deep reservoirs.

文摘The Early Ordovician System is composed mainly of a series of carbonate platform deposits interbedded with shale and is especially characterized by a large number of organic reefs or buildups that occur widely in the research area. The reefs have different thicknesses ranging from 0.5 m to 11.5 m and lengths varying from 1 m to 130 m.The reef-building organisms include Archaeoscyphia, Recepthaculitids,Batostoma,Cyanobacteria and Pulchrilamina.Through the research of characteristics of the reef-bearing strata of the Early Ordovician in the Yichang area, four sorts of biofacies are recognized, which are(1) shelly biofacies:containing Tritoechia-Pelmatozans community and Tritoechia-Pomatotrema community;(2) reef biofacies:including the Batostoma,Calathium-Archaeoscyphia, Pelmatozoa-Batostoma,Archeoscyphia and Calathium-Cyanobacteria communities; (3) standing-water biofacies:including the Acanthograptus-Dendrogptus and Yichangopora communities;and(4) allochthonous biofacies:containing Nanorthis-Psilocephlina taphocoense community. The analysis of sea-level changes indicates that there are four cycles of sea-level changes during the period when reef-bearing strata were formed in this area, and the development of reefs is obviously controlled by the velocity of sea-level changes and the growth of accommodation space. The authors hold that reefs were mostly formed in the high sea level periods.Because of the development of several subordinate cycles during the sea-level rising, the reefs are characterized by great quantity, wide distribution, thin thickness and small scale, which are similar to that of Juassic reefs in northern Tibet. The research on the evolution of communities shows that succession and replacement are the main forms. The former is favorable to the development of reefs and the latter indicates the disappearance of reefs.
文摘Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.8Fe0.1Ni0.1O3δ(BSCFNiO) perovskite oxides were synthesized using a combined EDTA-citrate complexation method, and then pressed into disk and applied in a membrane reactor. The performance of the BSCFNiO membrane reactor was studied for partial oxidation of methane over Ni/α-Al 2 O 3 catalyst. The time dependence of oxygen permeation rate and catalytic performance of BSCFNiO membrane during the catalyst initiation stage were investigated at 850 C.In unsteady state, oxygen permeation rate, methane conversion and CO selectivity were closely related to the state of the catalyst. After 300 min from the initial time, the reaction condition reached to steady state and oxygen permeation rate were obtained about 11.7cm 3 cm 2 min 1.Also,the performance of membrane reactor was studied at the temperatures between 750 and 950 C.The results demonstrated good performance for the membrane reactor,as CH 4 conversion and CO selectivity permeation rate reached 98% and 97.5%,respectively,and oxygen permeation rate was about 14.5 cm 3 cm 2 min 1 which was 6.8 times higher than that of air-helium gradient.Characterization of membrane surface by SEM after reaction showed that the original grains disappeared on both surfaces exposed to the air and reaction side, but XRD profile of the polished surface membrane indicated that the membrane bulk preserved the perovskite structure.
文摘Development of a predictive tool for H_2S solubility estimation can be very helpful in gas sweetening industry. This can be very useful for engineers dealing with gas sweetening process in different applications of analysis, simulation, and designation.

The ST presents itself the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB). From the main quantum position we consider the ST/CMB as the wave function carrier (“quantum background”). The paper is devoted to ST/CMB medium the classic conservation laws of mass, momentum and energy. We show the soliton like solutions of our classic model correspond to Schrodinger’s quantum solutions, demonstrate the atom hydrogen specter and other quantum peculiarities. The paper contains typical technical examples classic/ quantum simulation at the ST presence.
文摘In core logging, each joint set intersects borehole into some segments. This is the first algorithmic method for estimating the rock quality which could be employed to develop a new and far more reliable measurement for the degree of jointing inside a rock mass.
