In order to compare the slaughter performance and meat quality of Hainan black goats and hybrid offsprings of Nubian Black Goat and Hainan Black Goat, six 7-month-old Hainan black goats and six hybrid offsprings were selected to determine slaughter performance and muscle quality. The results showed that hybridization of Nubian black goat and Hainan black goat significantly improved the production performance and slaughter performance of hybrid offsprings (P>0.05). The meat quality of F1 hybrid black goat had no significant difference with that of Hainan black goat except for the hardness and elasticity (P<0.05). Therefore, the crossbred progenies of Nubian black goat and Hainan black goat have advantages in meat yield and meat performance, and the main meat quality indexes are not significantly different, which meets the market requirements for high-yield and high-quality hybrid combinations, and can be used for cross promotion. 展开更多

In order to obtain the TLR 4 gene sequence of Hainan Wuzhishan pig and analyze its molecular structure characteristics,its genomic sequence was cloned and sequenced by PCR and subjected to related bioinformatics analysis with the genomic sequence of the TLR 4 gene of pig in GenBank as a reference sequence.The full-length DNA sequence of Wuzhishan pig TLR 4 gene was 10 435 bp in length,of which CDS was 2 526 bp in length and encoded 841 amino acids.Compared with the common pig TLR 4 gene sequence published by GenBank,there were 38 mutations,of which two mutations were in the CDS region.The results of homology analysis showed that the amino acid sequence of the TLR 4 gene of Wuzhishan pig shared 99.9%,80.7%,79.9%,74.8%,74.7%,73.1%,73.0%,72.7%,62.5% and 43.4% homology with those of common pig,cattle,sheep,dog,horse,macaque,human,chimpanzee,mouse and chicken,respectively.The protein encoded by the TLR 4 of Wuzhishan pig belonged to secreted protein and transmembrane protein.It was hydrophilic,and had 8 glycosylation modification sites,17 serines (ser),7 threonines (Thr) and 8 tyrosine (TYR) phosphorylation sites.The amino acid phylogenetic tree analysis showed that the TLR 4 genes of different species are highly conserved during evolution.This result lays a foundation for further study of the function of TLR 4 gene. 展开更多

Study on Antibody Dynamics against Porcine Contagious Pleuropneumonia in Piglets

In order to provide basis for establishing a scientific and reasonable immune procedure against porcine contagious pleuropneumonia in pig farms, antibody dynamics in piglets inoculated with two vaccines against porcine contagious pleuropneumonia ( APP-1,2, 7 ) were detected. The result showed that average antibody blocking rate and antibody positive rate in piglets inoculated with two vaccines against porcine contagious pleuropneumonia exhibited similar variation trend. At 21 day after primary vaccination, average antibody blocking rate and antibody positive rate against porcine contagious pleuropneumonia in piglets reached the peak and then declined gradually. After secondary vaccination, average antibody blocking rate and antibody positive rate against porcine contagious pleuropneumonia in piglets increased gradually, which reached the second peak at 30 day after secondary vaccination (60 day after primary vaccination) ; subsequently, average antibody blocking rate declined gradually but still remained at a high level; antibody positive rate had little change. Average antibody blocking rate against APP-1 was slightly lower than the critical level of antibody protection at 44 day after primary vaccination ; antibody positive rate was slightly higher than the qualification rate at 37 day after primary vaccination; average antibody blocking rate against APP-7 was close to the critical level of antibody protection at 30 day after primary vaccina- tion, suggesting that piglets should be inoculated twice with polyvaccine against porcine contagious pleuropneumonia during the entire growth period, and the secondary vaccination should be performed at 30 -37 day after primary vaccination. 展开更多
