The effects of high pressure rheo-squeeze casting(HPRC) on the Fe-rich phases(FRPs) and mechanical properties of Al-17 Si-(1,1.5)Fe alloys were investigated. The alloy melts were first treated by ultrasonic vibration(UV) and then formed by high-pressure squeeze casting(HPSC). The FRPs in the as-cast HPSC Al-17 Si-1 Fe alloys only contained a long, needle-shaped β-Al5 Fe Si phase at 0 MPa. In addition to the β-Al5 Fe Si phase, the HPSC Al-17 Si-1.5 Fe alloy also contained the plate-shaped δ-Al4 Fe Si2 phase. A fine, block-shaped δ-Al4 Fe Si2 phase was formed in the Al-17 Si-1 Fe alloy treated by UV. The size of FRPs decreased with increasing pressure. After UV treatment, solidification under pressure led to further refinement of the FRPs. Considering alloy samples of the same composition, the ultimate tensile strength(UTS) of the HPRC samples was higher than that of the HPSC samples, and the UTS increased with increasing pressure. The UTS of the Al-17 Si-1 Fe alloy formed by HPSC exceeded that of the Al-17 Si-1.5 Fe alloy formed in the same manner under the same pressure. Conversely, the UTS of the Al-17 Si-1 Fe alloy formed by HPRC decreased to a value lower than that of the Al-17 Si-1.5 Fe alloy formed in the same manner. 展开更多

The acquisition of images with a fish-eye lens can cause serious image distortion because of the short focal length of the lens.As a result,it is difficult to use the obtained image information. To make use of the effective information in the image, these distorted imagesmust first be corrected into the perspective of projection images in accordance with the human eye’s observation abilities. To solve this problem, this study presents an adaptive classification fitting method for fish-eye image correction. The degree of distortion in the image is represented by the difference value of the distances fromthe distorted point and undistorted point to the center of the image. The target points selected in the image are classified by the difference value. In the areas classified by different distortion differences, different parameter curves were used for fitting and correction. The algorithm was verified through experiments. The results showed that this method has a substantial correction effect on fish-eye images taken by different fish-eye lenses. 展开更多

The heat transfer of methane at supercritical pressure in a helically coiled tube was numerically investigated using the Reynolds Stress Model under constant wall temperature. The effects of mass flux(G), inlet pressure(P_(in)) and buoyancy force on the heat transfer behaviors were discussed in detail. Results show that the light fluid with higher temperature appears near the inner wall of the helically coiled tube. When the bulk temperature is less than or approach to the pseudocritical temperature(T_(pc)), the combined effects of buoyancy force and centrifugal force make heavy fluid with lower temperature appear near the outer-right of the helically coiled tube. Beyond the T_(pc), the heavy fluid with lower temperature moves from the outer-right region to the outer region owing to the centrifugal force. The buoyancy force caused by density variation, which can be characterized by Gr/Re^2 and Gr/Re^2.7, enhances the heat transfer coefficient(h) when the bulk temperature is less than or near the T_(pc), and the h experiences oscillation due to the buoyancy force. The oscillation is reduced progressively with the increase of G. Moreover, h reaches its peak value near the T_(pc). Higher G could improve the heat transfer performance in the whole temperature range. The peak value of h depends on P_(in). A new correlation was proposed for methane at supercritical pressure convective heat transfer in the helical tube, which shows a good agreement with the present simulated results. 展开更多
