The factors work...A novel algorithm called Colony Location Algorithm (CLA) is proposed. It mimics the phenomena in biotic community that colonies of species could be located in the places most suitable to their growth. The factors working on the species location such as the nutrient of soil, resource competition between species, growth and decline process, and effect on environment were considered in CLA via the nutrient function, growth and decline rates, environment evaluation and fertilization strategy. CLA was applied to solve the classical assignment problems. The computation results show that CLA can achieve the optimal solution with higher possibility and shorter running time.展开更多

The uncertainty in reservoir models can be significantly reduced by using Coordinate Cokriging Sequential Gaussian Simulation technology, in combination with the restriction of seismic characteristic data. Satisfactory reservoir parameter interpolation results, which are more accurate than those derived only from borehole data, are obtained, giving rise to a reasonable combination of widespread and dense-sampled seismic (soft data) data with borehole data (hard data). A significant effect has been made in reservoir parameter modeling in the Chegu 201 block of the Futai Oilfield by using this technology.展开更多

Quantifing the value of decision for objectives according to the traits of researched systems, with the frequency distribution, we construct quantitative indices and then build up the comparative relation of superior and inferior between any two decisions and introduce the relation function which reflects not only the orientation of order but also the extent of superior and inferior for decisions. With calculating the weight coefficient, we put forward several comparative coefficients and finish off the order of superior and inferior of all the decisions for several conflict objectives. By positivist analyses, the solution shows its precise and concise traits dealing with complex decisions. Discovering andunderstanding user behavior patterns from log files can provide Web personalized recommendationservices. In this paper, a novel clustering method is presented for log files called Clusteringlarge Weblog based on Key Path Model (CWKPM), which is based on user browsing key path model, to getuser behavior profiles. Compared with the previous Boolean model, key path model considers themajor features of users'' accessing to the Web: ordinal, contiguous and duplicate. Moreover, forclustering, it has fewer dimensions. The analysis and experiments show that CWKPM is an efficientand effective approach for clustering large and high-dimension Web logs.展开更多

It is often not feasible to compute a complete data cube due to the huge storage requirement. Recently proposed quotient cube addressed this fundamental issue through a partitioning method that groups cube cells into equivalent partitions. The effectiveness and efficiency of the quotient cube for cube compression and computation have been proved. However, as changes are made to the data sources, to maintain such a quotient cube is non-trivial since the equivalent classes in it must be split or merged. In this paper, incremental algorithms are designed to update existing quotient cube efficiently based on Galois lattice. Performance study shows that these algorithms are efficient and scalable for large databases.展开更多
