The concept of"human"is essential in bioethics.Generally speaking,the concept of"human"is related to the identity of personality.This paper systematically discusses the concept of"personality ...The concept of"human"is essential in bioethics.Generally speaking,the concept of"human"is related to the identity of personality.This paper systematically discusses the concept of"personality identity"and"human"by Locke,Parfit and Kant.In comparison,Locke views self-awareness or reason as the key element of any appropriate concepts of"human".On the basis of Locke's viewpoint,Parfit makes explanation of the identity of personality,and points out that personality identity should be connected with physical and psychological continuity.This view has been a progress but still has a utility thought.Therefore,the understanding of the concept of"human"is not entirely out of its species,and should be deeply based on our own as the main body of the concept.展开更多
