The plurality of culture and identity of people in the third world countries are at stake. Strong resistance of the masses supported by a new order of international information is the need of the hour. In the present study four newer analogs of N,N-diethyl-2-phenylacetamide (DEPA), were synthesized and formulated for topical application as insect repellent. They were assessed for their irritant behavior on rabbit’s skin for erythema and edema. Comparative analysis of real-world data of frequent treatment sequences in metastatic prostate cancer

Background:The incidence of prostate cancer is increasing worldwide.A significant proportion of patients developmetastatic disease and are initially prescribed androgen deprivation therapy(ADT).However,subsequent sequences of treatments in real-world settings that may improve overall survival remain an area of active investigation.Materials and methods:Data were collected from 384 patients presenting with de novo metastatic prostate cancer from 2011 to 2015 at a tertiary cancer center.Patients were categorized into surviving(n=232)and deceased(n=152)groups at the end of 3 years.Modified sequence pattern mining techniques(Generalized Sequential Pattern Mining and Sequential Pattern Discovery using Equivalence Classes)were applied to determine the exact order of the most frequent sets of treatments in each group.Results:Degarelix,as the initial form of ADT,was uniquely in the surviving group.The sequence of ADT followed by abiraterone and docetaxel was uniquely associated with a higher 3-year overall survival.Orchiectomy followed by fosfestrol was found to have a unique niche among surviving patients with a long duration of response to the initial ADT.Patients who received chemotherapy followed by radiotherapy and those who received radiotherapy followed by chemotherapy were found more frequently in the deceased group.Conclusions:We identified unique treatment sequences among surviving and deceased patients at the end of 3 years.Degarelix should be the preferred formof ADT.Patients who received ADT followed by abiraterone and chemotherapy showed better results.Patients requiring palliative radiation and chemotherapy in any sequence were significantlymore frequent in the deceased group,identifying the need to offer such patients the most efficacious agents and to target them in clinical trial design. 展开更多

In recent years,heterocyclic compounds,analogs,and derivatives have attracted strong interest due to their useful biological and pharmacological properties.The small and simple triazole nucleus is present in compounds aimed at evaluating new entities that possess anti-microbial,anti-tumor,antitubercular,anti-convulsant,anti-depressant,antimalarial,and anti-inflammatory activities.Triazoles display a broad range of biological activities and are found in many potent,biologically active compounds,such as trazodone(antidepressant drug),rizatriptan(antimigrane drug),hexaconazole(antifungal drug) and alprazolam(hyptonic,sedative and tranquilizer drug).So far,modifications of the triazole ring have proven highly effective with improved potency and lesser toxicity.The present review highlights the recently synthesized triazoles possessing important biological activities. 展开更多

Presently,retailing has changed its face from unordered stacked traditional stores to beautifully decorated and appropriately managed merchandise stores or shopping malls with excellent ambiance and comfort.Therefore,these stores try to accommodate all needed items for daily use or rarely required items under the same roof.However,the primary challenge for today’s retailer is that the modern customer is quality and brands conscious as well as compare for services provided to them by different outlets at the comfort of home with a single click.Therefore,customers prefer to purchase from E-Commerce websites instead of physically visiting a retail store,which leads to the downfall in the sales of retailers which become a serious threat to them.Therefore,retailers are required to work sincerely towards their customer expectations by providing all their needed goods under the same roof.Therefore,the objective of this paper is to assist retail business owners to recognize the purchasing needs of their customers and hence to entice customers to physical retail stores away from competitor E-Commerce websites.This paper employs a systematic research methodology based on association rule mining deployed over Map-Reduce based Apriori association mining and Hadoop based intelligent cloud architecture to determine useful buying patterns from purchase history of previous customers,in order to assist retail business owners.The finding acknowledges that the traditional mining algorithms have not progressed to support big data analysis as required by current retail businesses owners.The job of finding unknown association rules from big data requires a lot of resources such as memory and processing engines.Moreover,traditional mining systems are inadequate to provide support for partial failure support,extensibility,scalability etc.Therefore,this study aims to implement and develop MapReduce based Apriori(MR-Apriori)algorithm in the form of Intelligent Retail Mining Tool i.e.IRM Tool to recognize all these concerns in an efficient manner.The proposed system adequately satisfy all significant requisites anticipated from modern Big Data processing systems such as scalability,fault tolerance,partial failure support etc.Finally,this study experimentally verifies the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm i.e.MR-Apriori by speed-up,size-up,and scale-up evaluation parameters. 展开更多
