Using two methods of direct electron beam welding (EBW-D) and intergradafion electron beam welding (EBW-I), Re and BT5-1 was welded. Experimental results show that the joint figuration of EBW-D between Re and BT5-1 is not fine, and the joint is inclined to brittleness rupture. The joint figuration of EBW-I between Re and BT5-1 is fine. No cracking and other disfigures occur in the intergradation joint. The element distribution of Re, Me, and Ti in the weld metal is progressional diversification.展开更多
A new kind of plasma technology with both high deposition rate and low dilution ratio was developed under the calculation and analysis of the arc flame characteristics of plasma arc,the kinematics behavior of powder a...A new kind of plasma technology with both high deposition rate and low dilution ratio was developed under the calculation and analysis of the arc flame characteristics of plasma arc,the kinematics behavior of powder and powder's heating in the arc. Compared with normal plasma surfacing method, the idea using constricting nozzle with small orifice diameter, long plasma arc and increasing the distance from meeting point of the two beams of powder to workpiece, to achieve the goals of high deposition rate and low dilution ratio, was put forward here. In order to prove this idea, a set of experimental system was built up and obtained satisfied results including high deposition rate(more than 25 kg/h )and low dilution ratio(less than 5%). The success of this study offers a promising prospect for developing the powder plasma surface welding in China and may open a way to improve this technology further in efficiency and quality.展开更多

Auto-searching weld line is that the robot can automatically recognize a weld groove according to the characteristics of the weld groove before welding, and then adjust itself posture to the desired status preparing for welding, namely, it is a process that the robot autonomously aligns itself to the center of welding seam. Firstly, the configuration of welding mobile robot with the function of auto-searching weld line is introduced, then the algorithm and implementation of auto-searching weld line are presented on the basis of kinematics model of the robot, at last trajectory planning among auto-searching weld line is investigated in detail. The experiment result shows that the developed welding mobile robot can successfully implement the task of auto-searching weld line before welding, tracking error precision can be controlled to approximate ±1.5 mm, and satisfy the requirement of practical welding project.展开更多

According to the depth computing principle with the special point matching using binocular stereovision, the initial welding position can be confirmed by calculating the middle point of the perpendicular line of two radials in the space. The corrosion behavior and mechanism of hot-dip galvanized steel and interstitial-free (IF) substrate with alkaline mud adhesion were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), ...The corrosion behavior and mechanism of hot-dip galvanized steel and interstitial-free (IF) substrate with alkaline mud adhesion were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and linear polarization. The results show that non-uniform corrosion occurs on the galvanized steel and IF substrate during 250 h with the mud adhesion. The corrosion products on the galvanized steel are very loose and porous, which are mainly ZnO, Zn5(OH)8C12·H2O and Zn(OH)2, and Fe-Zn alloy layer with a lower corrosion rate is exposed on the galvanized steel surface; however, the corrosion products on IF substrate are considerably harder and denser, whose compositions of rust are mainly FeOOH and Fe3O4, and several pits appear on their surface. The results of continuous EIS and linear polarization measurements exhibit a corrosion mechanism, that is, under activation control, the charge transfer resistances present different tendencies between the galvanized steel and IF substrate; in addition, the evolution of linear polarization resistances is similar to that of charge transfer resistances. The higher contents of dissolved oxygen and Cl^- ions in the mud play an important role in accelerating the corrosion.展开更多

This paper analyzes some algorithms of edge detection according to the character of welding image, some relative advantages and disadvantages are pointed out when these algorithms are used in this field, and some suggestions are given. The feature extraction of weld seam and weld pool are two typical problems in the realization of intellectualized welding. Their edge features are extracted and the results show the applicability of different edge detectors. In order to improve the ability of self-learning and self-adaptation of the ordinary fuzzy control, a self-learning fuzzy neural network controller (FNNC) for backside width of weld pool in pulsed gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) with wire filler was designed. In FNNC, the fuzzy system was expressed by an equivalence neural network, the membership functions and inference rulers were decided through the learning of the neural network. Then, the FNNC control arithmetic was analyzed, simulating experiment was done, and the validating experiments on varied heat sink workpiece and varied gap workpiece were implemented. The maximum error between the real value and the given one was 0.39mm, the mean error was 0.014mm, and the root-mean-square was 0.14mm. The real backside width was maintained around the given value. The results show that the self-learning fuzzy neural network control strategy can achieve a perfect control effect under different set values and conditions, and is suitable for the welding process with the varied structure and coefficients of control model.展开更多

Their metallurgical characteristics, morphologies of the f...The susceptibilities of the three aluminum alloys to solidification crack were studied with trans-varestraint tests and tensile tests at elevated temperature. Their metallurgical characteristics, morphologies of the fractured surface and dynamic cracking behaviors at elevated temperature were analyzed with a series of micro-analysis methods. The results show that dynamic cracking models can be classified into three types. The first model has the healing effect which is called type A. The second is the one with deformation and breaking down of metal bridge, called type B. The last one is with the separation of liquid film along grain boundary, called type C. Moreover, the strain rate has different effects on crack susceptibility of aluminum alloys with different cracking models. ZL101 and 5083 alloys belong to type A and type C cracking model respectively, in which strain rate has greater effect on eutectic healing and plastic deformation of metal bridge. 6082 alloy is type B cracking model in which the strain rate has little effect on the deformation ability of the liquid film.展开更多

Topside length Lt, maximum...As the base of the research work on the weld shape control during pulsed gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) with wire filler, this paper addressed the modeling of the dynamic welding process. Topside length Lt, maximum width Wt and half-length ratio Rh1 were selected to depict topside weld pool shape, and were measured on-line by vision sensing. A dynamic neural network model was constructed to predict the usually unmeasured backside width and topside height of the weld through topside shape parameters and welding parameters. The inputs of the model were the welding parameters (peak current, pulse duty ratio, welding speed, filler rate), the joint gap, the topside pool shape parameters (Lt, Wt, and Rh1), and their history values at two former pulse, a total of 24 numbers. The validating experiment results proved that the artificial neural network (ANN) model had high precision and could be used in process control. At last, with the developed dynamic model, steady and dynamic behavior was analyzed by simulation experiments, which discovered the variation rules of weld pool shape parameters under different welding parameters, and further knew well the characteristic of the welding process.展开更多

The process of ions migration and accumulation under electric field is the most essential factor for the anodic oxidation and interfacial joining. Temperature and voltage are the basic factors of the solid diffusion bonding of interfacial oxidation. The interactive effects of welding parameters on the porosity were analyzed by the three dimensional response surfaces and the contour plots. The results present that the interaction effect between water depth and voltage on the porosity is the most significant. Theoretically, a non-pores weld bead can be gained by reasonably matching these parameters with water depth less than 10 m. Always, the weld porosity reaches its peak value with a 7 mm/s welding speed.展开更多

Ti6Al4V alloy manufactured by electron powder bed fusion(EPBF)was separately heat-treated by stress-relief annealing at 600℃,annealing at 800℃,and solid solution at 920℃ for 1 h.Then,the friction and wear tests wer...Ti6Al4V alloy manufactured by electron powder bed fusion(EPBF)was separately heat-treated by stress-relief annealing at 600℃,annealing at 800℃,and solid solution at 920℃ for 1 h.Then,the friction and wear tests were conducted on the samples before and after heat treatment to analyze the properties and mechanism of friction and wear behavior.Results show that the sample annealed at 600℃ for 1 h has the optimal wear resistance,and the wear mass loss reduces by 44%.The sample annealed at 800℃ for 1 h possesses the optimal anti-friction performance,and the coefficient of friction reduces by 14%.This research provides a simple heat treatment method to improve the friction and wear resistance of Ti6Al4V alloy manufactured by EPBF.展开更多

That fore the statistic analysis and FEM were used and a method developed in the Institute of Welding, which consist in a direct connection of parameters used during welding with the fatigue strength of joints welded by various processes. It has been proven, among others, which by using more advanced welding processes (T.I.M.E) the fatigue strength of welded joints can be increased in comparison to joints welded by MMA and MAG.
文摘The weld pool shape control by intelligent strategy was studied. In order to improve the ability of self-learning and self-adaptation of the ordinary fuzzy control, a self-learning fuzzy neural network controller (FNNC) for backside width of weld pool in pulsed gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) with wire filler was designed. In FNNC, the fuzzy system was expressed by an equivalence neural network, the membership functions and inference rulers were decided through the learning of the neural network. Then, the FNNC control arithmetic was analyzed, simulating experiment was done, and the validating experiments on varied heat sink workpiece and varied gap workpiece were implemented. The maximum error between the real value and the given one was 0.39mm, the mean error was 0.014mm, and the root-mean-square was 0.14mm. The real backside width was maintained around the given value. The results show that the self-learning fuzzy neural network control strategy can achieve a perfect control effect under different set values and conditions, and is suitable for the welding process with the varied structure and coefficients of control model.
文摘The susceptibilities of the three aluminum alloys to solidification crack were studied with trans-varestraint tests and tensile tests at elevated temperature. Their metallurgical characteristics, morphologies of the fractured surface and dynamic cracking behaviors at elevated temperature were analyzed with a series of micro-analysis methods. The results show that dynamic cracking models can be classified into three types. The first model has the healing effect which is called type A. The second is the one with deformation and breaking down of metal bridge, called type B. The last one is with the separation of liquid film along grain boundary, called type C. Moreover, the strain rate has different effects on crack susceptibility of aluminum alloys with different cracking models. ZL101 and 5083 alloys belong to type A and type C cracking model respectively, in which strain rate has greater effect on eutectic healing and plastic deformation of metal bridge. 6082 alloy is type B cracking model in which the strain rate has little effect on the deformation ability of the liquid film.

文摘As the base of the research work on the weld shape control during pulsed gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) with wire filler, this paper addressed the modeling of the dynamic welding process. Topside length Lt, maximum width Wt and half-length ratio Rh1 were selected to depict topside weld pool shape, and were measured on-line by vision sensing. A dynamic neural network model was constructed to predict the usually unmeasured backside width and topside height of the weld through topside shape parameters and welding parameters. The inputs of the model were the welding parameters (peak current, pulse duty ratio, welding speed, filler rate), the joint gap, the topside pool shape parameters (Lt, Wt, and Rh1), and their history values at two former pulse, a total of 24 numbers. The validating experiment results proved that the artificial neural network (ANN) model had high precision and could be used in process control. At last, with the developed dynamic model, steady and dynamic behavior was analyzed by simulation experiments, which discovered the variation rules of weld pool shape parameters under different welding parameters, and further knew well the characteristic of the welding process.
文摘Field assisted diffusion bonding applied in the joining of solid electrolyte borosilicate glass, β ″ Al 2O 3, Y 2O ZrO 2 to monocrystal silicate and aluminum were proceeded with bonding machine in the assistance of static electric field. TEM, SEM, XRD and other means were applied to investigate and analyze microstructure of interface. It is supposed that the interfacial area is a model of metal oxides ceramic, and the joining mechanism is solid diffusion joining and static electric bonding. The process of ions migration and accumulation under electric field is the most essential factor for the anodic oxidation and interfacial joining. Temperature and voltage are the basic factors of the solid diffusion bonding of interfacial oxidation. And voltage, temperature, pressure and the condition of surface are the most important factors that govern the bonding process.

文摘To study the influence laws of welding parameters on weld porosity, underwater wet flux-cored arc welding ( FCAW) duplex stainless steel S32101 was carried out in a hyperbaric chamber, and the second-order multiple regression equation was established. The interactive effects of welding parameters on the porosity were analyzed by the three dimensional response surfaces and the contour plots. The results present that the interaction effect between water depth and voltage on the porosity is the most significant. Theoretically, a non-pores weld bead can be gained by reasonably matching these parameters with water depth less than 10 m. Always, the weld porosity reaches its peak value with a 7 mm/s welding speed.

文摘Ti6Al4V alloy manufactured by electron powder bed fusion(EPBF)was separately heat-treated by stress-relief annealing at 600℃,annealing at 800℃,and solid solution at 920℃ for 1 h.Then,the friction and wear tests were conducted on the samples before and after heat treatment to analyze the properties and mechanism of friction and wear behavior.Results show that the sample annealed at 600℃ for 1 h has the optimal wear resistance,and the wear mass loss reduces by 44%.The sample annealed at 800℃ for 1 h possesses the optimal anti-friction performance,and the coefficient of friction reduces by 14%.This research provides a simple heat treatment method to improve the friction and wear resistance of Ti6Al4V alloy manufactured by EPBF.
