In China, the numerous food scandals and scares that have struck over the past decade have spurred significant food safety regulatory reform, which has been increasingly oriented towards the public-private partnership model adopted by the Europe Union's (EU) food safety regulatory system. This paper analyzes the development of both the EU's and China's food safety regu- latory systems, identifies the current challenges for China and additionally considers the role of public-private partnership. The success of co-regulation in the food regulatory system would bring significant benefits and opportunities for China. Finally, this paper recommends additional measures like training and grants to improve the private's sector effectiveness in co-regulating China's food safety issues.展开更多
Through analysis on water quality,planktonic organism,fish resources,and fish species diversity in Yantan water area,this paper evaluated current situation of quality of fishery ecological environment in Yantan water ...Through analysis on water quality,planktonic organism,fish resources,and fish species diversity in Yantan water area,this paper evaluated current situation of quality of fishery ecological environment in Yantan water area. The survey recorded all 52365 fishes and 1410. 2kg catches obtained by fishermen in half a year,and more than 98% catches are small fishes. The Shannon-Weiner diversity index of Yantan water area is 0. 162,Wilhm improvement index is 1. 814,DG- Findex is 0. 083,and the index of fish species diversity is far lower than other water areas. The average quantity per unit of phytoplankton is 1. 0134 million ind. / L,and the average quantity per unit of organisms is 1. 1151 mg / L. The average quantity per unit of zooplankton is 459. 6 ind. / L,and the average quantity per unit of organisms is 0. 6422 mg / L. Evaluation results indicate that water quality and planktonic organism in Yantan water area are basically normal,but fish resources are increasingly exhausted,fish resource composition is not reasonable,and fish species diversity is extremely low. From the perspective of biomanipulation,it is required to restore fishery ecological environment of reservoir area through restoring normal composition of aquatic organisms.展开更多
Despite the fact that the non-renewable resources industry contributes greatly to regional and national gross domestic product(GDP),it casts massive negative impacts on the environment,which fails to be deducted from ...Despite the fact that the non-renewable resources industry contributes greatly to regional and national gross domestic product(GDP),it casts massive negative impacts on the environment,which fails to be deducted from economic growth.Hence,sustainable development of non-renewable resources(extraction and processing)is playing an essential role in boosting economic growth continuously.The System of Integrated Environmental and Economic Accounting(SEEA)proposed by the United Nations Statistics Division(UNSD)provides a brand-new perspective for sustainability study.This paper designs a fundamental approach of green accounting for non-renewable resources based on SEEA.Three main aspects of the accounting are extracted to explore the way of analysis for sustainability indicators,which are not touched upon by SEEA.Main analyses are as follows:(1)the analysis on the influence of the change of the discount rate in user cost(UC);(2)correlation analysis between environmental degradation and pollutants emission intensity;(3)analysis of the accounting results of green GDP and green GCF(gross capital formation).Then taking petroleum resources in Shandong Province as an example,this paper will calculate and analyze green data based on the accounting and analytical approaches discussed above.However,sustainability indicators studied in the paper are just associated with past economic activities,while investigation into the factors of the change of sustainability indicators is the one most critical point in relevant policymaking.展开更多
In order to obtain high quality NiO thin film grown with the radio-frequency magnetron sputtering method, the influence of O/Ar ratio on the structure, band-gap, resistivity and optical transmittance of NiO thin films...In order to obtain high quality NiO thin film grown with the radio-frequency magnetron sputtering method, the influence of O/Ar ratio on the structure, band-gap, resistivity and optical transmittance of NiO thin films were studied. It was found that the obtained NiO thin film showed (111) preferred orientation and higher transparency in the visible region. With the increasing of O/ Ar ratio from 1:7 to 8: 2, the optical transmittance of NiO thin films decreased and the optical band- gap was between 3. 4 eV and 3. 7 eV, and the sheet resistivity decreased from 5. 4 ~ 107 Ω/ to 1.0 × 10^5 Ω/[]. Our study shows that the properties of NiO thin films can be adjusted in a wide range by adjusting the O/At ratio in the sputtering process.展开更多
In recent years,there has been an increased interest among the researchers to propose new families of distributions to provide the best fit to lifetime data with monotonic(increasing,decreasing,constant)and non-monoto...In recent years,there has been an increased interest among the researchers to propose new families of distributions to provide the best fit to lifetime data with monotonic(increasing,decreasing,constant)and non-monotonic(unimodal,modified unimodal,bathtub)hazard functions.We further carry this area of research and propose a new family of lifetime distributions called a new logarithmic family via the T-X family approach.For the proposed family,explicit expressions for some mathematical properties along with the estimation of parameters through Maximum likelihood method are discussed.A sub-model,called a new logarithmic Weibull distribution is taken up.The proposed model is very flexible and can be used to model data with increasing,decreasing,modified unimodal or bathtub shaped hazard rates.The maximum likelihood estimators of the model parameters are obtained.To assess the behavior of the maximum likelihood estimators,a comprehensive Monte Carlo simulation study has been carried out.Finally,the potentiality of the new model is shown via analyzing two real data sets taken from reliability engineering and biomedical fields.The comparison of the proposed model is made with the other well-known competitors such as(i)the three parameters exponentiated Weibull and Marshall–Olkin Weibull distributions and(ii)a four-parameter beta Weibull distribution.The practical applications show that the proposed model performs much better than the competitive models and can be used as a good candidate model to analyze data in engineering,medical sciences and other related fields.展开更多

The simulation experiment shows that this model can improve the HOL block and the perfonnance of input-queued ATM switch network dramatically. In this study,we examine the relationship between job satisfaction and firm leverage using a sample of Chinese listed firms.We find that in a sample of‘‘China’s 100 Best Employers Award"winners during 2011–20...In this study,we examine the relationship between job satisfaction and firm leverage using a sample of Chinese listed firms.We find that in a sample of‘‘China’s 100 Best Employers Award"winners during 2011–2017,job satisfaction is negatively associated with firm leverage.The effect is more pronounced in firms with higher distress risk and operating in human capital intensive industries.We confirm the validity of the main findings using a matched sample and a series of robustness checks.Overall,our results indicate that firms can credibly demonstrate their commitment to stakeholders and re-shape their capital structure by improving job satisfaction.展开更多
