A Study of Metadiscourse in Business English Negotiation

This thesis uses Hyland's(2008) interpersonal model of metadiscourse to collect and analyze the metadiscourse resources employed in BE negotiation. The author aims to analyze the distribution and the utilization of metadiscourse resources in BE negotiation and wishes this research would play a positive and useful role in coming up with better strategies for the efficient and successful BE negotiation.

The paper designs and tests a questionnaire about modernday college students' competence model of starting their own business based on document retrieve and interview,and forms the model and the questionnaire on this competence accordance degree,and then sees into the actuality of doing such pioneering work by the help of the questionnaire,lastly puts forward some suggestions of improving college students' competence in practice from the perspective of colleges.

Food safety regulatory systems in Europe and China:A study of how co-regulation can improve regulatory effectiveness

Food safety has received a great deal of attention in both developed and developing countries in recent years. In China, the numerous food scandals and scares that have struck over the past decade have spurred significant food safety regulatory reform, which has been increasingly oriented towards the public-private partnership model adopted by the Europe Union＇s （EU） food safety regulatory system. This paper analyzes the development of both the EU＇s and China＇s food safety regu- latory systems, identifies the current challenges for China and additionally considers the role of public-private partnership. The success of co-regulation in the food regulatory system would bring significant benefits and opportunities for China. Finally, this paper recommends additional measures like training and grants to improve the private＇s sector effectiveness in co-regulating China＇s food safety issues.

Study on Fishery Ecological Environment and Fish Species Diversity in Yantan Water Area

Through analysis on water quality,planktonic organism,fish resources,and fish species diversity in Yantan water area,this paper evaluated current situation of quality of fishery ecological environment in Yantan water area. The survey recorded all 52365 fishes and 1410. 2kg catches obtained by fishermen in half a year,and more than 98% catches are small fishes. The Shannon-Weiner diversity index of Yantan water area is 0. 162,Wilhm improvement index is 1. 814,DG- Findex is 0. 083,and the index of fish species diversity is far lower than other water areas. The average quantity per unit of phytoplankton is 1. 0134 million ind. / L,and the average quantity per unit of organisms is 1. 1151 mg / L. The average quantity per unit of zooplankton is 459. 6 ind. / L,and the average quantity per unit of organisms is 0. 6422 mg / L. Evaluation results indicate that water quality and planktonic organism in Yantan water area are basically normal,but fish resources are increasingly exhausted,fish resource composition is not reasonable,and fish species diversity is extremely low. From the perspective of biomanipulation,it is required to restore fishery ecological environment of reservoir area through restoring normal composition of aquatic organisms.

Sustainability analysis of SEEA indicators for non-renewable resources

Despite the fact that the non-renewable resources industry contributes greatly to regional and national gross domestic product(GDP),it casts massive negative impacts on the environment,which fails to be deducted from economic growth.Hence,sustainable development of non-renewable resources(extraction and processing)is playing an essential role in boosting economic growth continuously.The System of Integrated Environmental and Economic Accounting(SEEA)proposed by the United Nations Statistics Division(UNSD)provides a brand-new perspective for sustainability study.This paper designs a fundamental approach of green accounting for non-renewable resources based on SEEA.Three main aspects of the accounting are extracted to explore the way of analysis for sustainability indicators,which are not touched upon by SEEA.Main analyses are as follows:(1)the analysis on the influence of the change of the discount rate in user cost(UC);(2)correlation analysis between environmental degradation and pollutants emission intensity;(3)analysis of the accounting results of green GDP and green GCF(gross capital formation).Then taking petroleum resources in Shandong Province as an example,this paper will calculate and analyze green data based on the accounting and analytical approaches discussed above.However,sustainability indicators studied in the paper are just associated with past economic activities,while investigation into the factors of the change of sustainability indicators is the one most critical point in relevant policymaking.

Influence of O/Ar ratio on the properties of NiO thin film grown with the method of radio-frequency magnetron sputtering

In order to obtain high quality NiO thin film grown with the radio-frequency magnetron sputtering method, the influence of O/Ar ratio on the structure, band-gap, resistivity and optical transmittance of NiO thin films were studied. It was found that the obtained NiO thin film showed （111） preferred orientation and higher transparency in the visible region. With the increasing of O/ Ar ratio from 1：7 to 8： 2, the optical transmittance of NiO thin films decreased and the optical band- gap was between 3. 4 eV and 3. 7 eV, and the sheet resistivity decreased from 5. 4 ~ 107 Ω/ to 1.0 × 10^5 Ω/[]. Our study shows that the properties of NiO thin films can be adjusted in a wide range by adjusting the O/At ratio in the sputtering process.

A New Logarithmic Family of Distributions: Properties and Applications

In recent years,there has been an increased interest among the researchers to propose new families of distributions to provide the best fit to lifetime data with monotonic(increasing,decreasing,constant)and non-monotonic(unimodal,modified unimodal,bathtub)hazard functions.We further carry this area of research and propose a new family of lifetime distributions called a new logarithmic family via the T-X family approach.For the proposed family,explicit expressions for some mathematical properties along with the estimation of parameters through Maximum likelihood method are discussed.A sub-model,called a new logarithmic Weibull distribution is taken up.The proposed model is very flexible and can be used to model data with increasing,decreasing,modified unimodal or bathtub shaped hazard rates.The maximum likelihood estimators of the model parameters are obtained.To assess the behavior of the maximum likelihood estimators,a comprehensive Monte Carlo simulation study has been carried out.Finally,the potentiality of the new model is shown via analyzing two real data sets taken from reliability engineering and biomedical fields.The comparison of the proposed model is made with the other well-known competitors such as(i)the three parameters exponentiated Weibull and Marshall–Olkin Weibull distributions and(ii)a four-parameter beta Weibull distribution.The practical applications show that the proposed model performs much better than the competitive models and can be used as a good candidate model to analyze data in engineering,medical sciences and other related fields.

MODELING OF THE PRIORITY SCHEDULING INPUT-LINE GROUP OUTPUT WITH MULTI-CHANNEL IN ATM EXCHANGE SYSTEM

In this paper, an extended Kendall model for the priority scheduling input-line group output with multi-channel in Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) exchange system is proposed and then the mean method is used to model mathematically the non-typical non-anticipative PRiority service (PR) model. Compared with the typical and non-anticipative PR model, it expresses the characteristics of the priority scheduling input-line group output with multi-channel in ATM exchange system. The simulation experiment shows that this model can improve the HOL block and the perfonnance of input-queued ATM switch network dramatically. This model has a better developing prospect in ATM exchange system.

Problems and Countermeasures of the Incentive Measures in Universities Based on the Hypothesis of Human Nature

The working state and performance of teachers in colleges and universities are closely related with their working enthusiasm,but the incentive measures of contemporary human resource management in universities still have a lot of defects,which ignores not only the material incentives for teachers,but also "the limited rationality" of human resources.Hence,built the Incentive Measures based on the hypothesis of human nature in is very impossible.

吹脱法回收源分离尿液中氨氮的试验研究

针对含有高浓度氨氮的源分离尿液,采用吹脱-硫酸吸收工艺回收其中的氨氮。研究了pH、吹脱温度、进气流量以及吹脱时间对吹脱效率及酸吸收效率的影响,并通过正交试验确定最优工艺条件。结果表明:在pH为11.5,进气流量为400 L/h,温度55℃下吹脱2.5 h,氨氮吹脱率大于96.5%,吸收效率100%,即可通过液体硫酸铵的形式回收黄水中96.5%的氨氮。

A Stochastic Evolutionary Game Perspective on the Stability of Strategic Alliances Against External Opportunism

This paper applies stochastic evolutionary game theory to analyzing the stability of cooperation among members against external opportunism in a multi-firm alliance.The authors first review the pros and cons of pertinent traditional models,and then a stochastic game model on decisions is proposed,where a coordination parameter,a time variable,a punishment effect and bounded rationality are considered.The Gauss white noise is introduced to reflect the random disturbance in the process.Several sufficient criteria on stability are developed,which enable us to investigate"if-then"type scenarios and project the impact of different strategies.

Job satisfaction and firm leverage: Evidence from the “China’s Best Employer Award 100” winners

In this study,we examine the relationship between job satisfaction and firm leverage using a sample of Chinese listed firms.We find that in a sample of‘‘China’s 100 Best Employers Award"winners during 2011–2017,job satisfaction is negatively associated with firm leverage.The effect is more pronounced in firms with higher distress risk and operating in human capital intensive industries.We confirm the validity of the main findings using a matched sample and a series of robustness checks.Overall,our results indicate that firms can credibly demonstrate their commitment to stakeholders and re-shape their capital structure by improving job satisfaction.

Cholesky-based model averaging for covariancematrix estimation

Estimation of large covariance matrices is of great importance in multivariate analysis.The modified Cholesky decomposition is a commonly used technique in covariance matrix estimation given a specific order of variables.However,information on the order of variables is often unknown,or cannot be reasonably assumed in practice.In this work,we propose a Choleskybased model averaging approach of covariance matrix estimation for high dimensional datawith proper regularisation imposed on the Cholesky factor matrix.The proposed method not only guarantees the positive definiteness of the covariance matrix estimate,but also is applicable in general situations without the order of variables being pre-specified.Numerical simulations are conducted to evaluate the performance of the proposed method in comparison with several other covariance matrix estimates.The advantage of our proposed method is further illustrated by a real case study of equity portfolio allocation.
