On 22 June 2018, Deputy Secretary-GeneralLiu Kaiyang led a CAFIU delegation to attend aconsultation with NGOs at the UN headquarterin New York. Initiated by the UN Economic andSocial Council （ECOSOC）, this consultation isthe first time for the UN to solicit opinions fromNGOs in consultative status with ECOSOCregarding the evolving relationship betweenNGOs and UN. on February 6 th, 2018, the Symposium of Commemorating the 40 th Anniversary of Sino-Japanese Treaty of Peace and Friendship organized by Chinese Association for International Understanding was staged at Wanshou Hotel, Beijing.
