During defibrillator application: activate K-1 Yongquan through needles before defibrillation. Unsuccessful CPR: "gold standard"for legal clinical death.RESULTS: Implies comparing two hypotheses: Ho(null hypothesis) demonstrates no association between the two variables studied; Ha(alternative hypothesis) implies some degree of relation between them. Difference between the two treatments is observed. If it is greater than the standard error multiplied by a coefficient of security, the difference is significant: Ha will be accepted and Ho rejected. First we will compare CPR without defibrillator(method "A") and K-1 Yongquan method(method "B"), using percentages of representative samples(treatment "A": 6.4% response, treatment "B": 85% response). If │PA- PB│ is greater than the product of 1.96 times the standard error, the difference is significant. Because │PA- PB│ = 0.786 is greater than 0.098, the difference between 0.064 and 0.85 is statistically significant. Thus, we reject Ho and accept Ha as correct. Thus, it is improbable that chance was responsible for this association. This analysis shows that K-1 Yongquan method has a "quality guarantee". Second, we compare defibrillators("A") with K-1 Yongquan method("B")(treatment "A": 48%, treatment "B": 84%, │PA- PB│= 0.36; │PA- PB│ = 0.36 is greater than SE × 1.96 = 0.0148 and also statistically significant, demonstrating again the comparative value of the Yongquan method. CONCLUSION: The Yongquan resuscitation manoeuver is a non-invasive, non-tiring, costless, and easy-toapply procedure that provides a second chance when other options fail.展开更多

Coccidioidomycosis should be considered in persons from an endemic area presenting with nonhealing or suspicious skin lesions. Diagnosis is established by skin biopsy and silver staining showing granulomas and classic Coccidioides immitis spherules. Disseminated coccidioidomycosis most commonly involves the skin and can have a variety of cutaneous manifestations. The first description of a Coccidioides immitis infection in 1892 was initially diagnosed as mycosis fungoides. We present the second case of coccidioidomycosis masquerading as mycosis展开更多

The influences of electromagnetic fields (EMFs) on bio-energy transport and its mechanism of changes has been investigated through analytic and numerical simulation as well as experimentation. As an answer to that need Therapeutic Acupunctural Resonance is born. This innovative therapeutic is rooted in concepts from classic Physics as well as Field Quantic Theory—highlighting the practical application of the criterion defined by the Soliton theory and the current, extraordinary discoveries at Cellular Quantic Kinetics level. Objective: To identify the clinical, epidemiological and laboratory parameters associated with AHF cases found in patients hospitalized in STP. Methods: Descriptive and quantitative analysis of AHF cases hospitalized in STP in the period December 2021 to May 19, 2022 through the variables: demographic data;clinical data;laboratory data and clinical outcome. Results: Analyzed 18 of 22 AHF cases, 50% of them male, mean age 33.7 years, 85.7% residing in the 2 largest districts of the country, 66.7% rural workers, administrative near maritime areas, sailors and domestics. 66.7% were healthy individuals. ≥50% had a fever, asthenia/weakness, myalgia, headache, lethargy, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. 22.2% to 33.3% had retro-orbital pain, abdominal pain, decreased consciousness, dyspnea/hypoxia, and cough. In a smaller register (5.6% - 11.1%), exanthema, convulsion, arthralgia, low back pain, chills, and chest pain. Bleeding from the digestive tract was found in 72.2%, followed by vaginal (33.3%), urethral (27.8%), nasal (22.2%), and oral (16.7%). 50% had laboratory confirmation for dengue, and another 50% with suspected clinical diagnosis without laboratory confirmation of the etiologic agent. Despite hemorrhage, 66.7% of confirmed cases were hemodynamically non-severe, and 88.9% of suspected cases were severe. Coinfection with malaria is evidenced in 11.1% of cases. 72.2% recovered and 27.8% died (deaths in 55.5% of suspected cases). Case deaths were male (100%), resident foreigners (40%), tool store employees, sailors and students, healthy (80%), and residing in the largest district in the country (60%). All deaths were hospitalized in serious condition, 80% were hospitalized for hemorrhage and shock, with bleeding arising between day 4 - 5 of illness in 60% and hospitalization on day 5 of illness. 60% died within ≤24 hours of hospitalization. 80% died from shock and multi-organ dysfunction and 20% from respiratory failure. Deaths had thrombocytopenia (100%), renal dysfunction (100%) and significantly increased transaminases (100%), anemia (75%) and leukocytosis (66.7%). 20% had a radiological change of pulmonary infiltrates. Conclusion: Our data reveal the complexity of the pathogens causing AHF and suggest the possible presence of other human pathogens usually unknown in the Santomean geographical territory.展开更多

The proposed method adopts the PCANet unsupervised network with a smaller number of layers and simple parameters compared with the majority of state-of-the-art machine learning methods. It simplifies calculation steps and manual labeling, and enables vehicle types to be recognized without time-consuming training. Experimental results show that compared with the traditional pattern recognition methods and the multi-layer CNN methods, the proposed method achieves optimal balance in terms of varying scales of sample libraries, angle deviations, and training speed. It also indicates that introducing appropriate local features that have different scales from the general feature is very instrumental in improving recognition rate. The 7-angle in 180° (12-angle in 360°) classification modeling scheme is proven to be an effective approach, which can solve the problem of suffering decrease in recognition rate due to angle deviations, and add the recognition accuracy in practice.展开更多
