Our previous studies have shown that Lycium barbarum(L. barbarum) polysaccharide(LBP) protects degenerated photoreceptors in rd1, a transgenic mouse model of retinitis pigmentosa. L. barbarum glycopeptide(Lb GP) is an immunoreactive glycoprotein extracted from LBP. In this study, we investigated the potential protective effect of Lb GP on a chemically induced photoreceptor-degenerative mouse model. Wild-type mice received the following: oral administration of Lb GP as a protective pre-treatment on days 1–7;intraperitoneal administration of 40 mg/kg N-methylN-nitrosourea to induce photoreceptor injury on day 7;and continuation of orally administered Lb GP on days 8–14. Treatment with Lb GP increased photoreceptor survival and improved the structure of photoreceptors, retinal photoresponse, and visual behaviors of mice with photoreceptor degeneration. Lb GP was also found to partially inhibit the activation of microglia in N-methyl-N-nitrosourea-injured retinas and significantly decreased the expression of two pro-inflammatory cytokines. In conclusion, Lb GP effectively slowed the rate of photoreceptor degeneration in N-methyl-N-nitrosourea-injured mice, possibly through an anti-inflammatory mechanism, and has potential as a candidate drug for the clinical treatment of photoreceptor degeneration.展开更多
The Machangqing complex is composed of early syenitic-monzonitic porphyry and late granite-porphyry. Geochemically, they are similar in major and trace element characteristics, and are characterized by relatively low ...The Machangqing complex is composed of early syenitic-monzonitic porphyry and late granite-porphyry. Geochemically, they are similar in major and trace element characteristics, and are characterized by relatively low TiO-2 ({<0.5}) and P-2O-5 ({<0.4}) and high alkali contents (K-2O+Na-2O > 8%), with K-2O/Na-2O>1, the absence of significant Eu anomaly and pronounced negative anomalies in Nb, Ta, Ti, and enrichment in large-ion lithophile elements and light rare-earth elements. Zircon U-Th-Pb ELA-ICP-MS age determination of the Machangqing complex has revealed two discrete igneous events. The syenitic-monzonitic porphyry has an age of {35.6}± 3 Ma, MSWD={2.80}; the granite-porphyry, {35.0}±{0.2} Ma, MSWD={2.91}. The lifespan of magmatic activities of the Machangqing complex associated with Cu+Mo mineralization is about {0.6} Ma. The late-stage ore-bearing granite-porphyry has higher Ce4+/Ce3+ ratios (264) than the early-stage barren syenitic-monzonitic porphyry (102). The increase of zircon Ce4+/Ce3+ ratios from the early-to late-stage porphyries indicates that the oxidation state of the magmas associated with copper mineralization increases with time.展开更多

The s...Three kinds of new layered perovskite compounds with Ruddlesden-Popper (R-P) phase, AgrNa2-xLa2Ti3O10 (x = 0.2, 0.3 and 0.5), were synthesized by an ion-exchange reaction of Na2La2Ti3O10 with AgNO3 solution. The structures of the compounds were characterized by EDX and XRD, and their antibacterial activity and light-resistance property were evaluated. The results indicated that the molecular formula of AgxNa2-xLa2Ti3O10 (x = 0.2, 0.3 and 0.5) was confirmed, and that the crystalline structure of Na2La2Ti3O10 was not obviously affected by exchange of silver ion. The minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of Ag0.3Na1.7La2Ti3O10 against Escherichia coli (E. coli), Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) were 180 μg/mL and 240 μg/mL, respectively, while its discoloration was not observed after 24 h light ageing test.展开更多

By means of the trapeziform ground plane with the tapered CPW (coplanar waveguide) feeder in the middle, the antenna’s radiation performance is greatly improved. The antennas can synchronously operate in three frequencies, covering the working frequency bands of WLAN/WiMAX, 2.44 GHz/3.5 GHz/5.2 GHz - 5.8 GHz. The pattern and impedance measurements of antenna show a good performance over the WLAN/WiMAX band;it possesses a near omni-directional characteristic and good radiation efficiency. Moreover, the antenna is miniature and its design idea can be easily applied into other types of nested structure, the features of which make the proposed antenna have a promising application in other fields.展开更多

Translating building data to the Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) is by far unsatisfactory. This creates a challenge for computer designers to do optimization to meet requirements. Five different approaches to optimize models have been presented in this paper. The other methods are to optimize VRML and to reduce the file size. The academic circle does not rea...A greater focus of environmental protection is directed toward environmental regulations in China. This paper focuses on environmental regulations and their impact on textile industry. The academic circle does not reach a consensus on the relationship between environmental regulations and international competitiveness. Some hold the view that environmental regulations lower international competitiveness while others think that environmental regulations improve both environment and economic performance. This paper aims to analyze the impact of the environmental regulations on the international competitiveness of textile industry in China. This study starts with theories relative to this subject; the second part, based on the impact mechanism of environmental regulations on competitiveness, analyzes the environmental impact on textile from the perspective of cost and market. The conceptual exploration comes to the conclusion that environmental regulations make a negative impact on the international competitiveness on the cost side and improve it by means ofinnovation and product differentiation on market side; the third part gives time series evidence to examine the impact. In this part the Pearson Correlation Analysis is conducted based on the data of China's textile industry of the period from 1991 to 2005. It turns out to prove that the negative environmental impact on cost side exceeds the positive environmental impact on market side, namely, environmental regulations deteriorate the international competitiveness in textile industry as a whole during the inspected period.展开更多

Organic nitrogen(ON)compounds play a significant role in the light absorption of brown carbon and the formation of organic aerosols,however,the mixing state,secondary formation processes,and influencing factors of ON ...Organic nitrogen(ON)compounds play a significant role in the light absorption of brown carbon and the formation of organic aerosols,however,the mixing state,secondary formation processes,and influencing factors of ON compounds are still unclear.This paper reports on the mixing state of ON-containing particles based on measurements obtained using a highperformance single particle aerosol mass spectrometer in January 2020 in Guangzhou.The ON-containing particles accounted for 21% of the total detected single particles,and the particle count and number fraction of the ON-containing particles were two times higher at night than during the day.The prominent increase in the content of ON-containing particles with the enhancement of NO_xmainly occurred at night,and accompanied by high relative humidity and nitrate,which were associated with heterogeneous reactions between organics and gaseous NO_(x)and/or NO_(3)radical.The synchronous decreases in ON-containing particles and the mass absorption coefficient of water-soluble extracts at 365 nm in the afternoon may be associated with photo-bleaching of the ON species in the particles.In addition,the positive matrix factorization analysis found five factors dominated the formation processes of ON particles,and the nitrate factor(33%)mainly contributed to the production of ON particles at night.The results of this study provide unique insights into the mixing states and secondary formation processes of the ON-containing particles.展开更多

In addition, all three compounds were tested for their cytotoxic activities against A549 and HepG2 cancer cell lines. Compounds 2 and 3 showed significant cytotoxicities with IC50 values less than 10 μmol/L on both cancer cells.展开更多

Oxy-fuel combustion power systems can utilize the cold energy released during the liquefied natural gas(LNG)regasification to reduce the power consumption of CO_(2) capture,but the specific LNG cold energy consumption...Oxy-fuel combustion power systems can utilize the cold energy released during the liquefied natural gas(LNG)regasification to reduce the power consumption of CO_(2) capture,but the specific LNG cold energy consumption of CO_(2) capture is still too large.To recover more CO_(2) with the limited LNG cold energy at a low energy cost,a novel natural gas-fired oxy-fuel power system with the cascade utilization of LNG cold energy is proposed in this work,where the LNG cold energy could be sequentially utilized in the air separation unit and the CO_(2) recovery process.The new system is evaluated with the Aspen Plus software.The results show that the net electrical efficiency and the specific primary energy consumption for CO_(2) avoided(SPECCA)of the new system are comparable to those of the chemical looping combustion cycle,and superior to those of the conventional O_(2)/CO_(2) cycles.Moreover,the specific LNG needed for CO_(2) avoided(SLNCC)of the new system is more than 67.2%lower than the existing oxy-fuel power systems utilizing the LNG cold energy.Furthermore,it is found that the O_(2) purity of 97.0 mol.%and the CO_(2) capture ratio of 97.0%are optimal conditions,because the SPECCA,the specific exergy consumption for CO_(2) avoided(SECCA)and the SLNCC are at the minimum of 1.87 GJLHV⋅t_(CO_(2))^(−1),2.60GJ⋅t_(CO_(2))^(−1) and 1.88tLNG⋅t_(CO_(2))^(−1),respectively.Meanwhile,the net electrical efficiency and the exergy efficiency of the new system reach 51.51%and 49.23%,respectively.展开更多

文摘Polysiloxane was a good solvent for hydrosilation reaction of carbosilane dendrimers with pentafluorophenyl core and HSiMeE(CH2)3C6F5. A new kind of dendrimer with both pentafluorophenyl core and terminal groups was synthesized. The studies showed that with the increase of fluorination, the viscosity values of carbosilane dendrimers decreased.

文摘Organic nitrogen(ON)compounds play a significant role in the light absorption of brown carbon and the formation of organic aerosols,however,the mixing state,secondary formation processes,and influencing factors of ON compounds are still unclear.This paper reports on the mixing state of ON-containing particles based on measurements obtained using a highperformance single particle aerosol mass spectrometer in January 2020 in Guangzhou.The ON-containing particles accounted for 21% of the total detected single particles,and the particle count and number fraction of the ON-containing particles were two times higher at night than during the day.The prominent increase in the content of ON-containing particles with the enhancement of NO_xmainly occurred at night,and accompanied by high relative humidity and nitrate,which were associated with heterogeneous reactions between organics and gaseous NO_(x)and/or NO_(3)radical.The synchronous decreases in ON-containing particles and the mass absorption coefficient of water-soluble extracts at 365 nm in the afternoon may be associated with photo-bleaching of the ON species in the particles.In addition,the positive matrix factorization analysis found five factors dominated the formation processes of ON particles,and the nitrate factor(33%)mainly contributed to the production of ON particles at night.The results of this study provide unique insights into the mixing states and secondary formation processes of the ON-containing particles.

文摘Damaged articular cartilage has very limited capacity for spontaneous healing. Tissue engineering provides a new hope for functional cartilage repair. Creation of an appropriate cell carrier is one of the critical steps for successful tissue engineering. With the supposition that a biomimetic construct might promise to generate better effects, we developed a novel composite scaffold and investigated its potential for cartilage tissue engineering.

文摘Three new C-3 dehydrated bufadienolides were isolated from the venom of Bufo bufo gargarizans. Their structures were elucidated as 5β,12β-12,14-dihydroxy-11-oxobufa-3,20,22-trienolide (1), 5β,12β- 12,14-dihydroxy-11 -oxobufa-2,20,22-trienolide (2), and 5β,12β-12,14-dihydroxy-11 -oxobufa-2,20,22- trienolide (3) on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analysis, especially 1D NMR and 2D NMR data. In addition, all three compounds were tested for their cytotoxic activities against A549 and HepG2 cancer cell lines. Compounds 2 and 3 showed significant cytotoxicities with IC50 values less than 10 μmol/L on both cancer cells.

文摘A novel method for measuring the min- ute fluctuation of cell membrane is developed by modifying the super-resolution theory, increasing dimension in Fourier space, enhancing brightness gradient and utilizing maximum adaptive weighted averaging filter (MAWA) in obstructing noise. The application of the method in studying aspergillus fla- vus cell (AFC) and red blood cell and the new find- ings from the study show that it is a useful tool.

文摘Objective To study the chest X ray image features of patients with severe SARS Methods Chest X ray image features in 36 patients with severe SARS were retrospectively analyzed The image characteristics were compared with those of 224 patients with common SARS Results The important chest X ray imaging features of 36 patients with severe SARS included small patch of infiltration (n=27, 75 0%), large patch of infiltration (n=22, 61 1%), large area of lung consolidation (n=10, 27 3%), interstitial lung lesion (n=26, 72 2%), ground glass shadow (n=28, 77 8%), irregular linear opacity (n=15, 41 7%), diffuse lung lesion (n=12, 33 3%), with single lung involved (n=9, 25 0%), and both lungs involved (n=32, 88 9%) The rates of large patch of infiltration, large area of lung consolidation, ground glass shadow, diffuse lung lesion and involvement of both lungs in patients with severe SARS were significantly higher than those in patients with common type of SARS (all P <0 01) Out of the 11 severe SARS patients who died, nine had large area of ground glass shadow with air bronchogram in both lungs before death Conclusions Large patch of infiltration, large area of consolidation, ground glass shadow, diffuse lung lesion and involvement of both lungs were the main X ray image characteristics of patients with severe SARS Large area of ground glass shadow with air bronchogram in both lungs indicated a bad prognosis

文摘Oxy-fuel combustion power systems can utilize the cold energy released during the liquefied natural gas(LNG)regasification to reduce the power consumption of CO_(2) capture,but the specific LNG cold energy consumption of CO_(2) capture is still too large.To recover more CO_(2) with the limited LNG cold energy at a low energy cost,a novel natural gas-fired oxy-fuel power system with the cascade utilization of LNG cold energy is proposed in this work,where the LNG cold energy could be sequentially utilized in the air separation unit and the CO_(2) recovery process.The new system is evaluated with the Aspen Plus software.The results show that the net electrical efficiency and the specific primary energy consumption for CO_(2) avoided(SPECCA)of the new system are comparable to those of the chemical looping combustion cycle,and superior to those of the conventional O_(2)/CO_(2) cycles.Moreover,the specific LNG needed for CO_(2) avoided(SLNCC)of the new system is more than 67.2%lower than the existing oxy-fuel power systems utilizing the LNG cold energy.Furthermore,it is found that the O_(2) purity of 97.0 mol.%and the CO_(2) capture ratio of 97.0%are optimal conditions,because the SPECCA,the specific exergy consumption for CO_(2) avoided(SECCA)and the SLNCC are at the minimum of 1.87 GJLHV⋅t_(CO_(2))^(−1),2.60GJ⋅t_(CO_(2))^(−1) and 1.88tLNG⋅t_(CO_(2))^(−1),respectively.Meanwhile,the net electrical efficiency and the exergy efficiency of the new system reach 51.51%and 49.23%,respectively.
